- Yepez in Carson, CAGot a charge for $19.19 in my AT&T bill. What is this AT&T? How do you protect your costumers?????? If you had numerous complaints about this charges, why haven't AT&T done anything about it? All I know is that I will not pay this amount to AT&T or anybody else. If I fell I have been herrassed by AT&T or TRANSACTIONS CLEARING (877-257-2455) I will have no problems taking this to court. This type of scams can ruin AT&T reputation. I hope they do something about this real soon before they loose long time custumers.
- TheThicksterI too got a charge from TRSCN CLRNG (transaction clearing) 1-877-257-2455. I called the number and spoke an agent she told me it was from a collect call I never received from Seattle, WA. WTF I dont know anyone from there? If I never received it why are you charging me. After that I called ATT gave them the confirmation number, and ATT said it would be 90 days before it would be taken off my bill.

- ShellseekerI received this call from TRSCN CLRNG. I called at&t and they refunded the charges. I also called the TRSCN CLRNG and they wanted to give me only a 80% refund. I refused until they paid me the full refund. I also got a confirmation number and gave it to AT&T and they were happy. This call was in the middle of night. I hope someone does something about this.

- SheilaI also got one of these charges on my phone bill at an odd hour and a place we would not get any calls from. I see I am not the only one, and I am angry at the fact that people can and think that they can just take your money! Now I have to make phone calls and spend-wastemy time fighting for what was rightfully mine. I could have used this money, and the two hours of phone calls it will take and went to see a movie, with my hard earned cash.

- jm july 16. 2009Recived TRSCN CLRNG charged to June '09 ATT phone bill. Charge was $7.42. Billing was in behalf of EVOICESERVICE, INC. #. Call was collect from Corona, CA 951 736 9072. I called the number, but got a fax (I think). ATT cleared the charge (which I didn't pay) but now they are trying to get me to pay a late charge. Let's hope these scoundrels get caught.

- SickeningI too was charged $21.00 for a collect call from CA. At a time like this, where people are struggling to make ends meet, self centered criminals find a way to screw the average Joe out of money to support their lazy needs. I can't believe AT&T, knowingly allows this to continue?!?!?!?!? Does anyone really get a refund? And if so, how long before your money is refunded? What # were you able to get through to? Why does the US allow bogus companies like this to continue this business. Aren't we suffering enough already?

- Dave replies to outrageDid anyone mysteriously get a lower bill the month prior to getting the bill containing the collect call charge from 1-877-257-2455? My May bill did not inlcude my internet fees and it struck me as odd. I was then expecting my June bill to be higher since i knew at&t would charge me 2 months worth of internet. Just as I thought, my June bill was much higher than normal BUT there was also the mysterious collect call fee from TRSCN CLRNG for $11.12 - what a coincidence!! i think this is also a scan orchestraded by at&t. The send you in circles in hopes that you just give up and pay the amt. Imagine the millions they have scammed out of their own customers!!
- TRANS CLEARINGReceived a charge of $7.20 on my AT&T for a collect call made at 1:31 PM to 928-684-9917 WICKENBURGAZ billed on behalf of EVOICESERVICE. from wht I read on another number it is a scam. I will be contacting AT&T Monday morning.

- MG in TXAT&T told me not to pay the $13.60 that was on our bill, and I just filed a complaint with the Attorney General about this company, please keep posting your compaints as I provided a link to this website.
- Irritated in OregonHad a $7.20 charge for a collect call from Loredo Tx. through Transaction Clearing House, www.billwithus.com. Same story... never been there, don't know anyone there, on a line that we never answer after 5:00. Qwest also told me to contact the company. When I pressed further, the agent called the number. When it just rang and rang, she sent the charges back but said I could still be liable. I will be contacting state attorney general.

- Venita BroussardI received a charge of $ 8.48 from this number on my AT&T bill. I did not call, or receive calls from this number.
- anaI was also charged 7.20 for "call clearing", I imediately contacted ATT and they told me I had to contact this bs BIllWITHUS company and tell them to send me the recording of my voice accepting the call? that makes no sense, why would they even record it, that alone seemed a bit weird coming from an ATT representative. I just spoke to a rep from BILLWITHUS I told them I never ever accept collect calls, and that I was aware of their fraudilous activities, she imediately gave me my confirmation number to give to ATT and before I hung up she said to me "Is there anything else you need help with?" and I responded, "No, good job scamming people."

- Pissed Off replies to JohnSame situation: no phone physically hooked up. Phone line is a dedicated DSL line. This is the second time I've had to call and talk to a group of Indians who call themselves K.C. and Tom and whatever other American name they can come up with. "No, you're not hearing me: I DON'T HAVE A TELEPHONE CONNECTED TO THIS LINE! IT'S PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO ANSWER OR MAKE A COLLECT CALL! TAKE IT OFF MY BILL NOW!" This approach seems to work.

I contacted AT&T and was told that it was a collect call that I or someone in my household had accepted. I explained that it was not possible for me to accept calls on or answer a phone that is not connected to the wall jack(I only have phone service with AT&T for DSL and only my router is hooked into the phone jack...is it alive?)...also I know no one in AZ.
The customer service rep said that my account would be credited and it would show up in two or three billing cycles. He also blocked out of state calls on my phone for which I thanked him.- Caller: BILLWITHUS, INC.
- RobertFiled a complaint directly to FCC.
- In CaliforniaCharges for Transaction Clearing in the amount of $ 7.20 showed up on my AT&T bill for the month of August. These charges were billed on behalf of BILLWITHUS, INC for a call I supposedly received from a # in Colorado (970 949 9854). I do not know anyone currently living in Colorado nor do I EVER accept collect calls. I am completely outraged that AT&T obviously has somehow become a part of this scheme. I will be going to the local AT&T shop tomorrow to enquire about this. It is extremely unnerving to realize that most large companies are corrupt and rely on their dominance in the market. I do not have anything positive to say about AT&T and my previous service provider Verizon.
Thanks to the rest of posters for valuable information/ideas on how to handle these bogus charges. - nebraskaladyI just received my September bill from Qwest and saw a charge for $19.95 from a company called Transaction Clearing. I have called 1-877-257-2455 several times only to be disconnected. I then contacted Qwest to have them charge the fee back to this company as I did not authorize it. I am in the process of writing letters to Transaction Clearing and the company Access Voice on whose behalf the charge was placed. I will also be filing a complaint with the FCC and the BBB in each city these companies have listed as their address. I don't accept collect phone calls from anyone.
