Number called ask personal information rather then giving any information. When asked who they are they do not respond just state they are contacting me in a legal matter, yet can't tell me what the legal matter is. They keep pushing to get personal information. The number indicates as unknown. When I ask who are they or what company the answer is always muffled, not able to understand.

Got a call for the 3rd time this week. They had my name wanted more information.  I asked the guys name. I told him to put in the notes to cease and desist all calls to my number. Called back told the lady who answered I will be reporting them for harassment. Both of them were very uncomfortable with that statement.  Very rude and harassing calls.

They call and do not tell me what they are calling about. They know my name and tell me I have to verify personal information before the call can go forward.

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/
    http://www.consumeradvocates.org/find-an-atto ... tates_value=All

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two or more federal and state agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1

Our office received a call today from this number.  Caller ID says "Medical Data Sy".  I assumed it was a scam caller of some sort and sure enough, found all the info here.  They asked for an employee by name... I did not respond & waited until the call disconnected. This number will be labeled as scam in our system.

I have gotten this call and based upon other comments, I can guarantee this is a scam company. I do not have any debt that is medical. A company who doesn't leave messages are always a scam. Therefore I will be blocking them.

This number call me and I missed call so I call back. The female caller asked for my date of birth so I asked her for name of her company. After I told her I never heard of this company Medical Revenue Services she stated. the call was a business matter but she needed to verify who she was speaking with. I gave her some advice that in America due to so much fraud and identity theft good luck with calling people on the phone trying to get their personal information. And I was on the National DO NOT CALL LIST. She hung up on me. My opinion these people are definitely an illegal company

Debt collector. That was previously documented in this thread. Right above your post for that matter. And as you very well know they do not call list does not cover debt collection calls. That was very clearly explain to you on the sign up page, had you taken the time to read it.

You can tell them that you're "working with the facility itself" but i bet that won't stop them from calling.

This same thing happened to me. They had my birth date and address but as soon as I refused to pay over the phone and asked for a bill to be mailed and I'd pay online they hung up.
