Perhaps "Princess"  you should take a course in reading comprehension..   and don't go spouting off posting to old posts with bad advice as well.

Military coverage is 100% on base, and if the man hasn't been to a public civilian hospital, there is no bill. And how do you figure that because someone hasn't been to a hospital in years that jeopardizes anyone's health or their care? If one isn't sick, and one doesn't need  to see the Dr or go to the hospital, it doesn't effect anyone else.  Not every one needs to run to the Dr for every little sniffle!  Those that run for every little tiny sniffle are more apt to cause everyone problems with insurance in cost of $$.

Comprehension of what your reading makes a big difference!

Well, "Princess" you seem to read more into a post then is there. I don't see anyplace he mentions having a dead brother or his mom! Really.. You need to learn Reading Comprehension.. but then your beginning to sound like a scam shill!

    1)  You don't know that your prior number holder is a "deadbeat" or that any debts being pursued are valid.
    2)  The FCC has next to no jurisdiction. Debt collection has for decades been regulated by the FTC, and more recently the CFPB.
    3)  This agency rang you an hour too soon, violating the FDCPA.

Again, the FCC can't help you. To halt the misfired skip trace calls, you must take direct action, not complain and wait for a rescue. My advice for "not me" cases is found here:

Here's another thought, get the acronym right: HIPAA. Here's another thought, worry about this other acronym, FDCPA, before you go scolding outdated commentors. You're the one who wants "a free ride" payday on bluffing and bullying rather than actually validate medical debts, a category well known for hopelessly dysfunctional if not outright fraudulent billing practices. Let's not forget that medical debt is largely *involuntary*. Nobody plans for cancer treatment or resetting broken limbs they way they would for a vehicle purchase.

} mayb [sic] you should call back and ask for a supervisor or office manager.

Comments before and after this one tell us how futile that advice is. The bullying debt collector's primary weapon is the telephone. Naturally the shills would rather distract you from your right to seek validation and end the pushy calls through *paper notices* sent USPS Certified.

"They have all your info" but not apparently any ready proof of various debt claims, the only "info" which is worth a damn. The "Foti" court decision is not an excuse to call everyone and the neighbor's cat just to rattle one person's cage. You can't expect alleged and unproven debt to justify melting down a person's phone line. "It's a law". Read it yourself sometime.

"Sister of Everett" just above was the target of that spewage. The Princess of Pouter can't be bothered to select the right "reply" gadget. It's just that kind of attention to detail which sows distrust of her industry.

I was replying to more than one post yes someone did state mom being harassed and yes we live in a Country today where people ignore their bills or feel someone else should foot the bill n than act as your the one being harassed really an honest person could see that is a problem. Their wouldn't be debt collection if people put forth more effort too paying their bills and not leave the medical care bill aside because, you have bills, someone will pay just like thief the ones that do put forth will pay as well as future generations,so disagree with faulting a law biding company that is helping out honest people who need medical care n cannot afford to cover the cost of individuals that couldn't make their bills as important as theirothers... check your facts what can n cannot be ddone because of many guidelines n rules

Care to try that again in English?  Or, don't bother.  Why would anyone give credence to anything you say when it is almost unintelligible?  I've known 7 year-olds that can write better than you can.

No, you replied to the wrong post and won't own it. "We live in a country today where people" working from grimy offices in Atlanta, Buffalo, Corona, and seemingly half of Florida think that my rights end where their lust for money begins. There would be no complaints here if you "put forth more effort" toward obeying your industry's "many guidelines 'n' rules" and treating distressed people like fellow humans instead of cattle. But then you can't be bothered with the rules of English composition, never mind the ones which get your kind sued when broken.

I recieved a call from this number wanting personal information on myself and my husband. When i asked what this was about she refused to tell me I told her i did not give personal information over the phone she hung up. When I called back to see who this was she then started asking me questions so I just hung up thinking it was a scam of some sort. After I hung up they called two more times straight in a roll. The last time i told her to leave me alone and I hung up.

Just received a call from this number, they told me they are the medical revenue service and asked for my social security number and I said no. Then asked for my address and I said no, you are calling me you tell me. She said she could only tell me part of it after I said the street address first. I said no thank you. They said I would receive a letter in the mail about the phone call since I would not verify the information. The lady on the phone was laughing as she said this. Very odd phone call and creepy.

***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.

    Some Tips:
    *Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time, date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.
