- brianThese people keep trying to strong arm my 90 year old uncle by telling him they are calling from the IRS. They are obviously bill collectors-he doesn't owe anybody because I pay all of his bills. Agree with all other posts. They are rude. I'm going to report them to the FCC
- LuluI get this phone call seems like every other day. It's some collection agency to do with medical. And they ask for some Hispanic sounding name -- I can't even pronounce it. To show how stupid they are, they say if you are not "Adaner Avano" (I have no idea what they are saying or how to spell it), please hang up now as this is a personal call. Well, duh, that's how stupid they are. Who is going to hang up when they tell you they have personal information for this person. I have disconnected as they say if you do not know this person, or are not this person, I have done everything. I am sick of it. I'm on the do not call list. I do not know this person, never have. It's just total harrassment, so I thought I would finally call them back and tell them apparently it's someone that got free medical service, now they are trying to track them down. Today I see they are harrassing many people, not just me. I hear my phone ringing, run in there to get it thinking it's something important as I have children that may be trying to get in touch with me, or some emergency. I owe nothing to no one and I resent the fact I owe nothing, and yet I'm being harrassed like this. It's on my land-line phone. There used to be a way to block calls. Going to look in my local phone book and see if it tells me how (if I can).
- Caller: collection agency
- Call type: Debt collector
- Former| 2 repliesThis is Medical Data Systems Inc.
You can locate them online at www.meddatsys.com
This is a collection agency for medical debt
This is no a scam
They report to credit if you dont pay
If they have the wrong number but continue to call then mayb you should call back and ask for a supervisor or office manager.
It isnt harrassment if they are tryn to reach a debtor and even calling several times during the day because they can argue they are tryn to find the best time to reach the debtor
They say business office because thats what they are trained to say
Given the new laws in collection practices they probably arent allowed to tell you who they are until they know they are speaking with a debtor so if you think you owe nothing than mayb you should make sure they arent looking for you before this ends up on your credit report or you get sued
Finally I dont resent debt collectors. It is a very hard job that someone has to do and they do in fact help our economy by resolving bad debt.
Dont confuse MRS for IRS- Caller: All these people here
- mlw99Don't know the company. Intrusive, multiple calls to my cell.
- Fedup with scams!called 2x's left no message so i called them back they "tried" to tell me i owed a medical bill and i told them any more calls i will sue they NEED to send me any coorispondance in the mail from now on. No more calls it's been 5 days. They keep calling after that it's HUGE money on your part for harassment.

- LuluI'm on all the "do not call lists" for home phone and cell phone. Also for junk mail in my regular mail box. It doesn't stop a thing. These people call constantly, asking for a "Avan Avano" -- I don't even know who they are asking for. The funniest thing is "we are calling about a personal call or medical collection or words to this effect, if you are not this person, please hang up as this is a private call." I don't have the quote as the recording actually says, but to me that shows just how stupid they are. Why would I hang up when I get to hear about somebody's personal business??? It's nothing. It's another one of these harrassing phone calls every day all the time. I don't even answer my home phone any more. And if I do happen to answer I just hang up. I don't even attempt to talk to them or find out what it's about. I would like to get rid of my home phone. I now have UVERSE, and you can get a printout of all the phone calls you've received. I have 3 full pages just in the past month or so from all calls of toll free numbers, also one that is just showing as "1" - don't know how they do that. I'm sick of it all. I don't understand how I pay extra for an unpublished number, on all the do not call lists, and it doesn't stop. It has gotten worse since I got UVERSE and I don't know why that would cause this problem. But I'm so tired of my home phone ringing I never answer it any more. So I'm paying for something I don't use.
- Caller: Collection Agency for Medical Issue or something
- Call type: Debt collector
- Lulu| 1 replyI would be curious how many people have switched to UVERSE and is this when the calls started? I never got calls...never. I owe no one nothing. They are just harrassing phone calls. I have 3 pages, single spaced of all the calls in just one month's time. One good thing about UVerse it keeps a list of all your phone numbers received, so I have printed it out, and counted the numbers, days and times of calls. It's not just one number. There are many numbers. There is also another number that is "automated" and the only "name" that shows up for it is "1" -- it doesn't even give a phone number. They ring my phone at least 3 times a day. There has to be a way to stop this. I'm thinking of giving up my home phone number, or wondering if I can get an automated response that says, "the number you are trying to reach is no longer in service" -- or "thank you for the call, I have the police working with me on harrassing phone calls, and we now have your number, so you should be hearing from them soon." there has to be something people can do. I cannot even ues my own home phone. I use my cell phone. I've asked everyone I know not to call my home number because I may get rid of it. Has anyone had any luck stopping these calls? It's not just one number. I get all kinds of numbers during all times of the day. They have gotten my number from somewhere, so think about it? When did you start getting all these calls
- Call type: Debt collector
- Red replies to LuluGet yourself a whistle. When you see their number on the caller ID, pick up the phone but DO NOT say anything. When they hear the silence, they will say "Hello?" At this point, take a deep breath and blow your whistle directly into the phone until you run out of breath. Then, immediately hang up. :o)
- flutemotherJust got a call from them at 9:33 this morning. I answered in my usual fashion, which is "Lxxxx here, can I help you?". A female voice merely said "I've got the wrong number", and hung up.
I've read all the posts here on this number. If it's in regards to a medical bill collection, they are in error. They couldn't be trying to reach some other person at this number, as we've had the number for 19 years now.
If they call again, I'll ask them to put me on their DO NOT CALL list.- Caller: unknown
- William SmithThese people call every evening at approximately 5:30 P.M. CST. Evidently they are a SCAM of some sort since nothing shows on the Caller ID. Is it possible to stop these unwanted calls. Also when the phone is picke up, no one responds.
- Lisa SI got a call from them they ask for my Father by name but he died 2 years ago he then asked if i was in charge of his estate I said he dosent have one and he put me on hold and came back and said i will remove you from the call list . He would not tell me what it was about at all.

- johnI have been getting calls at 6 am every day. I called the number back and they say I am not on thier list and would remove it. Calls stopped for 2-3 days and started again.

- John| 1 replyI'm getting calls several times a week. At first it was on my land line. The first time I picked up, but was put into a hold pattern. Now they are calling my cell phone.
It is interesting because the cell phone calls did not start until I registered with the Do Not Call Register for cell phones. - DannyGot a call from this # about 10 min ago , not the first time either ... I jumped off the toliet thinking it could be my sons school or something ...Lets just say , they will get a earfull next time ... I answered but it was too late.
- Caller: Toll Free number
- Danny replies to JohnYeah , there is a huge lawsuit going on over that ... They actually use the list and call people .
- dphillipsLike another comment seen on this number, I received a phone call from this number that went straight to a dial out number. I did not answer it, as I dont answer calls from numbers I dont know.
However, I dont want anymore calls from this number.- Call type: Debt collector
- Fedup!Get this stopped.

- Chuck replies to nn| 5 repliesThey have called me numerous times.............they state they are trying to collect a bill from Jupiter Medical Center...I have asked numerous times what the bill is for...the answer they give me is "services rendered"..nobody can tell me what this bill is for....they claim that we owe them over three hundred dollars...I've called my insurance and they know nothing about them....nor do they know what bill they are speaking of.
