- i hate these people, are they people?I got a new cell phone and new carrier-T-Mobile. The phone calls started asking for some buy...and asked him to call 'Gloria', then 'Mary" (each caller leaves a different name) and now it's up to 6 times a day. I called one back and "Maria" politely said "oh you're not 'Martin" I'll take your number off our list. So of course II still get daily calls. They often call themselves Golden something. So I entered them in my contacts as Muy Malo- which shows up on my ID- so I get a little humor in this privacy invasive moment. But of course when my phone rings and I still run to see which of my friends or family are calling. So all your replies are really helpful, cause I thought I was the only one in the world with this problem.. and I also guessed the DNC and FDC would be ineffective. I'll call T-Mobile and see if they have any blocked call info. I also have not read ALL the pages in this web site, so maybe the answer to get these ruthless collection people/scammers blocked from my phone is in here somewhere.....

- annoyed in AL replies to Natasha TI have been getting calls from these people for 6 months. I DO NOT have a Citi account and wish they'd stop calling! Sometimes they leave a mesage that simply says "we are sorry that we could not talk to you in person..." (I usually delete message after that much). I am on the DNC list as well.
- PhilThey must not have processed my payment yet. It's Tire Kingdom, and I pay them like clockwork. So I guess I'll just have to answer it next time and let them know that the payment was made.
- Caller: Tire Kingdom

- 2huskiesI get a call from this # every day @11:30am. I have reported it to Do Not Call every day and it will stop for a few days, then it is back again! I thought if you file a complaint w/ Do Not Call- you can be able to get money for harassment.
- CailinKeeps calling a few times a day. I finally answered and they hung up. I do not do business with Citibank.
- Caller: Unknown
- RajI finally called this number back after several days of them calling without leaving messages or hanging up when I answer. First time I call, it was an automated system for CitiCard. It asked me to enter an account number. After two asks without me entering anything, it transferred me to a real person who hung up on me. Called back ... Same spiel except this time the person stayed on the line. Even though I was extremely frustrated, I kept my tone light and polite ... Goal was to stop the calls. After a few questions ... Mine, not hers (I only gave her our phone number we receive the calls on and our last name) ... I found out that they're calling about my wife's Shell card. I told her I wasn't 100% comfortable that they(she) were legit and not a scam. She very politely said she understands and asked that I have my wife call the number on the back of her Shell card. She's doing that now ... Keeping my fingers crossed that this will stop the calls.

- JustinIf you have a line of credit with Zales jewelers or another company they are attempting to collect missed payments. Pay your bills on time.

- CYes, indeed this is a scam. I've reported the number and those involved, however, it only keeps it controlled for so long....
Worst case, feel free to visit the site below:
www.donotcall.gov This registers up to three phone numbers per email address on the government's do-not-call list. The telemarketers are not allowed to call any of these numbers under penalty of law and a fine. This includes 800, 888, and 877 numbers calling in, but only those with whom you are not registered (for example your own personal bank will still be able to call you from their 800 number). It does not keep you from dialing 800, 888, or 877 numbers from your phone, but they will no longer be able to contact you.
Once I registered my number on this website, my calls nearly all stopped coming in, and I have been at peace.- Caller: Citicard Retail Private Label Account

- Fukked By ShellCiti MAY be a card in your wallet WITHOUT a Citi logo on it. This was NOT a scam in my case. This was my Shell branded gas card.
It turns out Shell had been doing some creative billing on my account, and now I owe $150 in late fees and penalties that compounded over 3 months when I WASN'T EVEN USING MY CARD! I ALWAYS overpay my balance, and I PAY THE DAY I USE IT [online]. They still bent me over. Check your balances if you get a call. The people at this number are annoying, deceptive, tongue-twisted, and intrusive. I just wanted to figure out what this call was for, and pay the bill. They tried to do a stupid frikking survey about me and my account over the line. Get you current balance online via shell and pay by whatever means you like. Just don't call these people back if you don't have to. Also, DO NOT USE SHELL. I'm getting my gas at Costco from now on.- Caller: Citi (Shell Gas)

- aggravated in georgiaStarted receiving these calls about four weeks ago. No messages left on answering machine. When you do answer, there is a significant pause before someone starts speaking. Tonight I finally talked with someone who said they needed to talk to my husband about his account with Citicard. When I said he doesn't have an account, they hung up. Bills are all up to date. No accounts delinquent in anything.
