    I got a call from this number today on my Sprint cell phone and ignored it.  I called it back 10 minutes later and got a recording of a female voice saying:

    "Thank you for calling Sprint together with Nextel.  We are now closed.  Please call back during regular business hours.  Thank you."

    Any time I've called Sprint to do anything the automated message was in the same male voice.  That makes me believe it is some kind of scam.

    Ha, I love sites like this one.  I had been receiving a number of calls from this number.  After I checked here I knew just who it was and what they wanted.  So today I got a call from them (I was expecting another so I answered before I saw who it was).  They started out all "this is a free call" and "you've been such an excellent customer" and asking if I had any questions about my service they could help with.  And so, with the info I had from here, I right off mention, "No, and I don't need any additional lines of service," before he even brought that up at all.  He thanked me and ended the call right quick.  That pretty much took all the wind out of his sails. :-)

    Thank them for what? Trying to steal your money? And why wish them a "nice day"? Scammers only have a nice day when they can separate money from their victims.

    Better to give the subhuman a good loud blast with a whistle. I hear an airhorn works pretty well too.

    Another minor correction:

    your: possessive - as in, "that is your grammatical error"
    you're: you are - as in, "you're an idiot".

    Linzy -

    With the telemarketing and phone scam business being international, do you really think they pay attention to what time it is in whatever time zone you happen to be in? If the legitimate (snort) telemarketer calling you is in India, odds are good he/she has no idea what time it is at your home. Just sayin'.

    Okay, here it is;

    Your -   Indicating possession
    You're -  A contraction of you are

    You can go into the Sprint website and block the numbers through your account.  I have done it with about 30 [***] that got my number somehow.
