I emailed these guys twice to stop my service, there stock is about $1.00 if
they go below 1 dollar they get kicked off the New York Stock Exchange.

So even if you email them they keep your service going..

I never do but. Never give someone or company your credit card number.

I give my debit card and the account has $5.00 in it "good luck thieves"

Or I give them a "money order"

This is what happened with MagicJack there is no address to send money order

So I had to get debit card to pay the bill.

If you don't have MagicJack I suggest you get one it is great I "love" it
what they say on TV is true go to Walmart or Radio Shack $40.00 next
year $20.00 make all the calls you want. I don't work for them but
I love there product this will put the phone company out of business
"if you don't have a MagicJack you really should rethink this. it works!!!!

The rcording said they were a debt collection company and that I should call an 800 number. I did and let it ring for twenty minutes with no answer. Just got another automated call from them today and hung up.

We subscribed to XM last year and then were not going to renew it.  XM then gave us some extra months free but my husband called and told them we did not want to renew it. Now we are getting the call from 877-683-1155 with the message that what we owe has been turned over to a collection agency.  I know times are bad which is one reason why we did not renew. But XM is awful to try to extort money from people by supposedly giving an a free extension of a subscription and then trying force payment for it!

We have excellent credit and have never had to deal with any debt collector!

I have not responded to the call but when I googled the number and found these posts, I know it was XM!

Got a robo-call from this number the other day and hung up and blocked the number from calling again. XM's behavior is criminal. A few months ago, my old credit card expired and I sent XM several letters and emails notifying them that I was not going to renew the service or provide them with another credit card number. They kept calling my home for months (I blocked their other numbers) and now they are harassing me with robo-calls from their "collections department." All I can say is that I will never have anything to do with XM and I advise everyone to never give them a credit card number. Once they have your credit card, XM makes it very difficult to cancel service or prevent them from charging your card.

I am in TX myself as well... anyone succeeded to have their "bill" waived?  I never reneved my service after getting rid of the car.  Got calls from XM Radio to contact them to "prevent interruption in service".  Yesterday I got the call from above mentioned collection agency.  Called them back and started asking questions and the rep hung up on me.  Called XM Radio today, spoke to the rep and her supervisor, but the would not waive the bill (over $40).  Supervisor also told me they only have jobs thorugh the end of this month... they are being outsourced, likely off-shored.  So pissed off about not getting any bills from them, and then getting one from the collection agency.  How about some class acio law suit against these unfair billing practices?

Last year in March 2009 I called to cancel XM service they offered me a great deal for $66.92 a new contract with XM for one year from March 10-09 until March 10-2010. They combined two radios at the same time. They said if paid in full right then I could receive the deal. So I paid it in full, one year - 2 cars, from March 09 to March 2010. The service did turn off in March as expected but now they say I owe for one year service. I explained for one and a half hours about my contract with them. She laughed the whole time. Offered to cut the bill in half once but I said I did not owe anything. I was disconnected.
I was tempted to pay the $30. just to be rid of them but I really do not owe them. If everyone pays them $30. just to be left alone think of how much they scam off us.

I've been getting calls from the 877-683-1155 number all week.  They claim to be a collection agency trying to collect an unpaid debt.  Only problem is...I have NO unpaid debt.  Come to find out that XM is behind these calls.  My XM subscription was set to expire last December 26th.  I called to inform them that I would NOT be renewing my subscription.  The car (which is a convertible) was parked in the garage for the next 4 months or so, and when I brought the car out in the spring, the XM service was still there.  After about another month of service, they finally must have figured out that it was supposed to be turned off.  If they think for even one second that I should pay for those months that they inadvertently forgot to turn off my subscription...THEY ARE NUTS!

I did the same thing and they still hounded me. I never authorized renewal after the first year. They just try strong arm tactics. Yhey must really be desperate, guess Howard Stern wasn't as big of a drawing card as they planned on.

I received a call today from this agency and was not told what the collection was for but in googling it I found this site. Oddly, after reading some posts I realize it is for XM radio and have an almost identical story as everyone here. I paid by check for my subscription for fear that they would continue to charge a credit card even if I canceled. Even after my paid subscription ran out continued to leave the service on and have billed me ONCE for that amount. I called about it and got a very rude individual at XM how basically hung up on me because I told them them I was not paying for this since I never agreed to a long term subscription. Now I am getting this call. It has been 3-4 months since the bill and I refuse to pay it. They have terrible business practices and strong arming you into paying a bill for service you never requested is ridiculours.

Same story as everyone else - when your subscription expires and you don't renew, XM leaves the service on for a couple of months to try to entice you to renew.  Then when you don't, they bill you for the time they chose to leave the service on after your contract expired.  It is highly unethical, if not illegal.  Ignore the collection agency that leaves you messages; call XM Customer service at 1-800-967-2346.  Ask them to explain the balance on your account, and then insist that they remove it.  Then ask to talk to a customer service manager.  Explain that you were considering renewing your subscription, but that you never will now that you have been the target of their unethical practices.  If the collection agency calls back, call customer service again, begin by asking what your balance is (they will confirm it is $0), and then make them conference the collection agency in on the phone with you so that customer service must tell their collection agency to stop calling you.  This practice will only change if enough people protest.

They use the same tactics for everyone who has cancled their service. We all need to report them to the FCC.

Got my call today. According to the law I can request verbally that all future correspondence come by mail. The knowledgeable collector stated that I had to write a certified letter to them to make them stop calling me. Yes, I spent $1000 to get 5 years with XM/ Sirius. And I loved it. But I did not renew, never got any bills like they said they would send. Amazing, the "collectors" found me. Calling XM/Sirius customer service didn't help. They said they send all customers e-mails now indicating automatic renewal. Well, that doesn’t help me now. If I ever get the money again, does anyone think I will turn it on again? And BTW, during my 5 year subscriptions, they offered many people LIFETIME subscriptions. Never offered it to me....How sad, acts of desperation. I lost 2 hours of my life over this today. Write Martha Stewart and Howard Stern and complain. Or do it on twitter.

Just got a call on this as well from 877-683-1155.

I'll have to call them back now because last year they offered to keep my on at half price.  Fine and dandy no problem, paid and said no reaccuring payment nothing.  Time went on figured I should of had a cancellation of service but it continued for 2 months past my date and did have calls stating that my service was coming to an end please call them to keep it active.  I didn't want it active anymore and only said it as a 1 payment deal nothing more.

And what happens they bill me for the 2 months.  Pay it not a chance.  If I gave someone a 1 year contract and it went to 14 months instead and expect them to pay more money because of my mistake or trying to extort money from them, should I be able to get the money NO.  Not unless there was talking, contract extension or something involved before the contract expired but not 2 months after, come on.

I too, received a phone call on 10-8-10. First thought it was a scam, googled the number and found many others who received the same treatment from XMRadio. I just got off the phone with XM Customer Service and was assured by Antonio, my account has been cleared. I had canceled my service through snail mail and email. He admitted he had my canceled statement on record and yet XM billed me for another 5 months. I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau and am awaiting their reply. I did share with XM customer service of this website and the numerous customers XM is losing because of pitiful service.

Got a call today from these guys. Yes, XM radio collections.  They refused to send any copies of any final bills because "the balace is so low."  Like the rest of you, had the service with a new vehicle and didn't renew.  No way will I pay this.  No letter, no bill, nothing.
