I keep getting calls from this number and they never leave a message.

The calls are not from Dell. they are spoofing Dell's no. They are calling from a different number but use this App to fool your Caller I.D.

Dell themselves are criminals...their data base was compromised years ago and they do not care.

The reps steal the info from the company and use it to scam customers.  If you need Dell, just call them yourself.  They will never call you.  They spoof the number as though it is valid but it is not.

Claiming to be Dell Concierge Service detecting problem with security on my PC.  Give me a break.

You received a scam call. I heard about a Dell employee in India providing thousands upon thousands of Dell customer contact details to at least one external company. If you ever called Dell tech support, you name, contact details, and Service Tag are all in the hands of the scammers.

I get these calls every 2 or 3 months. Most of the time, they are pulling the "infected computer" scam where they claim your PC is sending a "signal" back to their servers. Yeah, right.

If I have time, I follow along and play their game, acting stupid and pretending to follow their instructions until I reveal I have a Mac, or a Linux box, or even a Commodore Pet. It gets fun when these scumbags realize they have been had. Lately, however, I just have the number blocked.

The call is from India. It is a complete scam! I told him off in Hindi and I got him to break his cool ;)

They say they are from Dell and even have personal info about my PC, like "Service Tag Number" or info about a prior call I made several months to Dell, which is correct info.  Of course they say there is a problem with my PC and want to take control of it.  I always say no when getting unsolicited calls like this.  I called Dell back on a phone number I know to be correct and they tell me its a scam call.   I asked how they got info described above and they told me its probably due to cookies on my PC.  I do not believe that !.  I am wondering if Dell Servers were hacked and Dell does not want to admit tha?.   Or maybe a disgruntled former Dell employee with this kind of info?  In any case this is a fake phone call from Dell and you should never let them take control of your PC regardless of what info they give you.  I told them to first send me an email and they never did.   Dell normally contacts you via email.

Just got call from this number.  Claims to be from Dell.  I called Dell and they have no records of me talking to anyone since June of this year.  I was told not to talk to them, so it must be some kind of a scam or worse.

These call happen to me about once a month or so. Dell has admitted being hacked and some service tags and user information was downloaded. My question is, why would anyone not hang up of these people if they did not have a real problem with a Dell PC? They must have some success, or this scam would die out.

Yes, they have lots of success.  After all if you were not computer savvy, and someone called you claiming they were from Dell and could give you all that information, would you not fall for it?

These people are NOT from Dell....They are scammers and the worst thing you can do is give them any information on your computer.  I have reported these calls to Dell and they said they will NEVER call a customer regarding anything unless they are asked to by the customer.  I have had Dell for 15 years and have never had a call from them regarding anything unless I contacted them first.  Again do not give these guys any information.  I just got another call from this number and it is 10:15 at nite...really!!!!!

This number called me and said they were Dell Technical Support and that they had reason to believe my computer had a virus. I kept them on the line while I contacted Dell myself, and then they hung up.

Same as the others.  Pretending to be from Dell Tech Support.  I manage several Dell units and deal with their Tech Department quite often.  They never initiate the phone call.  They will always email you at least 24 hrs before they do call you.

I drilled this guy for over 30 minutes many of it with profane and obscene and he kept trying very hard to control the conversation, constantly asking me questions and refusing me to answer the questions.

He asked how he could have my information if he was a scammer.  I told him because Dell did have a privacy breach and a lot of their customer information was stolen.  He said that was not true.  Yet several security blog websites and Dell does confirm this information.

They called me several times over a few days from the same number, and I didn't pick up. I called them back one day and heard a convincing Dell automated reception desk. I hung up. I got another call today and answered it. An Indian male with a high pitched voice calling himself Richard and claiming to be from Dell, asked me if I am Steven. I said "yes." He asked me how I am doing today. I asked him why this number has been calling me so much over the past several days. Then the call ended. I must have disconnected. It was a very strange interaction. Definitely some kind of scam. Block this number.

I received a call from these number 2 times, I picked the call the on the second attempt, the guy informed that I have not update the security updates on my computer and they were trying to reach me but with no success. I informed that I did not get any call from Dell or any email mentioning to what you are conversing, I even informed the caller that I have updated on the security updates in the computer and there no updates that is left to update

In the meanwhile he informed me to Click on Windows Button and letter R at the same time and then told me to enter www.fastsupport.... I asked why he needed for me to enter he mentioned that he wants to connect to my computer. I immediately informed him I do not want to provide any access to him and instead told him to send me the steps to my email account

He immediately hung the phone and till now I have not received any emails from Dell

DO NOT LET THEM ACCESS YOUR COMPUTER. This is what happens when companies outsource their call centers to 3rd world countries. Those that had real issues with Dell, instead of being help and issued solved, have their information stolen and used against them for a scam. So now your once happy customers are pissed off and will likely never use you again or recommend you to others. Not a good business model.
Called Dell they are aware, actually probably calling the same place, but oh well. They stated they are working on a new software to be able to help people that these scammer can not access. He said I hope you did not let them access. I told him of course not, I never let anyone and sorry but that includes Dell from remotely accessing my computers.

Yes it's a scam. I don't own a dell. So no reason to get a support call. And yes any one can spoof a legit company's phone number from what I now understand. It'll you are an IT manager with 100 computers shouldn't you know if any are going out of warranty. Shouldn't you have someone that manages your support with Dell? Is that what you have to check? I mean you sound very savvy and prudent but I'm a novice and this scam doesn't pass any sniff litmus test.
