They won't stop calling.  Some days they call 5 or 6 times a day.  I will not accept any calls from Dell because of the reports of a scam.  I'd like for them to stop calling.

This is obviously the responsibility of Dell. They must have had a leak of information, or an employee who sells the information of Dell customers. I never had one of these calls UNTIL I had a problem with my Dell computer and called their tech support. Almost immediately after that, the calls began and they are relentless. Please don't listen to anyone who suggests that you answer their calls and "play" with the callers or tell them you don't even have a Dell computer. ANY interaction with them will just mean more calls

I keep getting the calls from this number, yesterday it was 8 times & already 4 today.  the fellow said he was from Dell & my Word pgm was not working did I know & he wanted to go into my computer to fix it. I was taken once & let them into my computer & had to get the whole computer cleaned.  I have complained to Dell but this is still going on, I will never buy another Dell again!

I have received many calls from "Edward" with an Indian accent at this number.  He claims that he is from Dell Technical Support, that he has all of the information about my Dell laptop, and that malware loaded onto my computer is causing Dell updates to bounce.  He asks me to go to my computer and follow a procedure he will give me to resolve the problem.  I always decline.  After the second or third call, I went to the Dell website and chatted with the real Dell Technical Support.  They denied that the call back number Edward had given me (1-877-557-1981 x8016) was Dell's and denied that Dell ever initiated calls to customers in this faction.  The real Dell Technical Support gave me the complaint number of the FTC in case I wanted to file a complaint.

This is Dell. They call to set up the appointment for the tech to come out and fix the computer. 100% real. (I googled the number because I missed the call and VM was garbled. When I saw the comments, I realized who it was and called back.)

Boy, you are right about that! Dell Concierge Services told me that these are scammer calls, as Dell NEVER calls me, unless I first call them and they are calling me back. When I need help, I call Dell directly.

Scammers are quite fond of spoofing legitimate numbers in hopes of scamming unsuspecting people. Smart of you to not cooperate with them and instead called Dell directly.

I got a call from department of health and human service they say I was selected by the government for a grant of 14.500.89 that I don’t have to pay back and I needed to go to a wal green or Walmart or any department store to get registration I D and it will cost 500 dollars but he say I know u don’t have the money so we will send u 500 and then u will only receive 14.000.89 so they wanted my bank account and I gave them that’s in the negative by 1000 dollars and I told them if they send the money the bank was gonna snatch the 500 because I am paying them  so he ask me did I want to close the case and I said yes because I don’t have no money his name was Joseph Armello not sure if the spelling is right and the number he gave me is 1-877-790-0122 or1-877-790-0132 address BABCR5209 Health&Human Services 200 Independent Ave Washington DC 20201
