- GaryReceived a call from this number. Call went to my voice mail. After saying nothing (only office noises and some indistinct talking) the caller said that I should respond and finally that I should F..O... and that I would be stabbed in the heart. Charming message, I must say.

- LisaThis is a scam. I spoke with Dell and these are scammers trying to gain access into your computer. They call me constantly. I have blocked their calls after asking repeatedly for them to stop calling but every time I am on the phone and the call blocker goes into effect, it hangs up my call, VERY ANNOYING. They have called 2 times today alone!! I am getting a bullhorn for their next call to me.

- LauraI've been receiving calls from this number for months. "Dell Tech Svc" on the caller ID. I never answer because I always assumed they were calling to try to sell a warranty extension or something. (I had never called for support.) Yesterday I decided to answer. As many others have described, it was a man with a heavy accent. Hard to understand. He gave me a service tag number, and told me their servers detected a problem. We have 2 desktops and a laptop. Tag number matched none of them. He asked if he could access my computer, and I said ok. Lucky for me, he was fumbling trying to get a code number for me to enter into the screen he had me pull up. While waiting, I went to dell.com and searched the tag number. It was for our monitor!! I told him this, and he didn't seem to care. Said something was infected. I was angry then suspicious after over 30 minutes on the phone with this guy, and told him I had to go, and asked for a call-back number. I came VERY close to something bad happening, even though I'm normally very skeptical and cautious! I mean, he had my phone number, email, and a service tag number. Seemed legit. I filled out a form online at Dell concerning fraudulent calls, and received a call this morning from an investigator from Dell! Expect to talk to her soon. Be careful! Don't be a victim!

- MaryScammers who have access to my Dell computer information as well as my cell phone number and email address. Date of purchase and home phone they had listed was not mine -- perhaps belonged to Amazon seller from whom I purchased the computer. Could have accessed information from Dell online support, which I used once under warranty.. That is the only place they could have gotten my computer details AND my cell phone number. Don't do anything they tell you to do!!

- ChristinaThey called me while I was at work, on my personal cell. They new that I had a laptop and gave me the service code off of it. I knew it wasn't legit but was freaked a little by the info they did have like my name, email, and home address. I told them I didn't have the computer in front of me and that I would have to call them back when I got home. I took the name "Chuck" down and the phone number to return the call and it was 888-448-5812. I googled both that number and this one that it came from and found my way here. I am thinking about calling them to mess with them but who has for that? I have used Dell for years and not once have they called me about something unless I had called first.

- Christina replies to AnnieYes! I absolutely just recently had a laptop sent back to Dell to get repaired. The calls started shortly after that. I am so irritated with these people!!

- ABWhy do these people keep calling me! I have DO NOT DISTURB activated on my phone. I have BLOCKED the number and reported it as SCAM or FRAUD many times! There has to be someone out there who can make it stop! I never answer any number that I do not know. This number somehow manages to bypass all the protection I have on my phone. Fortunately, it does not ring, just appears in the log. Annoying as all hell!

- Kay JorgensenReceived call from Dell Tech Concierge yesterday about security update not installing correctly & wanted access to my computer. Told him I would call Dell Tech Concierge. Immediately called Dell Tech Concierge after talking with this man. The concierge asked if I gave him any information, I explained that I told the man I would call Dell Tech Concierge so a concierge can check my computer. I did not give the fake tech any information simply because Dell does not call people. This is a scam.
