Eastgate lending services. Is this a legit company, I can not find any info on them. Are they the Eastwood Financial Company?

I also received a call from this company after filling out an on-line loan application with a local company.  They contacted me a few days later and told me that they were able to approve my loan.  They faxed me paperwork to sign and I faxed it back and then they asked me for 6 months of payments upfront to secure the loan.  I initially agreed becuase the contract made sense, but when I got to the Money Gram office, I was instructed to use the send money form instead of the payment form and was told to send the money to a Jermaine Baker in Kingston, Jamaica.  I questioned this info since it was the first time I had heard anything about it (the company says it is based at 45 Exchange Blvd, Rochester, NY 14814) and was told that it was completely safe and that the company was bonded.  Luckily the cashier was aware of this type of scam and prevented me from sending any money.  I also have not been able to find any info and i searched on the bbb.org and came out with no info there either.  The person I spoke with from this company was Jesse Wilson at ext. 419.  Beware!!!

I got the same call too. they asked for 4 months payments upfront!Why do I need to give them money in order to for them give me money! that didn't make sence at all.
Im glad I did some research before I go ahead and send the money!

I filled out an application online and got a call from James Swanson from eastgate lending services. He said i qualified, that he was a broker that finds funding and deal with private investors, angel investors. he also said i had to do a prepay (pay 6 months in advance) and that will be applied towards the money i get. he faxed me over some papers to sign. I tried the bbb.org but can't find information. I don't know if this is legitimate?? does anyone really know.???

i just received a phone call today just like u'all! mine was from james swanson and said i qualified for a 17K loan and had to pay 3mns in advance!!!! i dont kno if this is for real or not?! ticks me off cause i really need the loan! so if anyone knows...?!
i;m giving them a fax number and gettng the paperwork to take to my lawyer to check out first!!

does anyone or has anyone found anything out about this company.  One thing i do no is that the payment up front is called a calateral loan and its used to insure the lender in case the borrower doesnt repay the loan

I know from the homework that i've done that it would be in your alls best interest to not do any buisness with these sorry ass people just for one reason for starters and that is if a lender wanted to give you a loan and im assumeing that your a high risk as well as myself that even for that fact alone you still wouldn't be required to put up any funds what so ever. My suggestion is don't do any buisness with NEW YORK because there using international third party lenders.  So basically your deallying with LOAN SHARKS. Has anybody filed a complaint with New Yorks bbb.org like I have as well as Califs bbb.org.  Just to let ya all know it is illegal for any lender out of state to ask for any kind of fee up front which consist of insurance to cover in my case was 8 months worht of payments.  I strongly suggest that none of you go forward with this process and at the same time report these sorry ass people from eastgate lending services to any resource from our state that would not allow them to practice here any further such as what i'm doing at this time. thank you

OMG r u serious? WOW..a Jesse Wilson called me today too and said the exact same thing..It sounded kind of weird so I told him that I would get back to him. I am so glad that I didn't go through with this. BEWARE TO ANYONE THINKING YOU ARE GOING TO GET $5000. I AM GOING TO REPORT THEM. CRAZINESS!!!!!

YES beware of Jessie Wilson he is a scammer!!!!!I got a call from him today I told him he was a scammer you dont ask people for money when they dont have any for a loan....thats why we r here. He tried to convience me that he was not a scammer I am reporting him and his no company.

alls i can say is don't do it cuz its a scam.  if a lender wanted to give you a loan right from the get go you are not required or will you ever be required to put money up front it is against the law for any lender to ask for funds up front so i suggest you report these fraudulant lenders to the better buissness buruea.  also they have a habit of saying take this paper work to an attorney if you would like that doesnt make these people any better. there scamm artist BEWARE!!!!!! DON'T DO IT PEOPLE

Same thing here, althought I thought it was legit since the paperwork looked in order and they said you could take it to any lawyer... Well to make a long story short I money gramed the money and never got my loan... DO NOT do any busy with them or you will be out of your money like I am..
once the money has been sent you cannot get a refund... I feel so stupid for falling for a scam like this.... I talked with Jesse Wilson and michael Fleming... BEWARE!!!!

Yes, they called me several days ago, after I poured my heart out on an application. Fortunately, I stumbled across this site before I signed anything. How upsetting! My credit history is certainly not terrific, but I am an honest person. I hope karma comes into play here!

I got a call on Saturday from Jesse Wilson, he explained everything to me and faxed me the paper work. I now have the paperwork and decided to google this on the internet and found this site.  I'm so glad I found out before doing this.  Paper states 6 months payments in advance.  Caller Id # was 416-958-0000 (ontario Canada), but paper work state phone # is 877-826-8581. Thanks for the warning.

jessie wilson  also scamed me although i found this site hours before sending the money i have sent him copies of my pay stubs and my drivers licence god i thought i was smarter than this.. i even took the loan docs to my local bank and the loan officer said they looked legit. i felt uneasy so i contacted a branch manager at another bank and she said NO bank would conduct business over a fax all loan docs should be noterized and originals sent back NOT faxed Copies... this company seems very real BEWARE BEWARE.

I also filed a complaint with the internet crimes unit. www.IC3.gov please do the same. im also going to bbb.gov and any state and local sites to report this scam please do the same if you have been scamed by these people help stop them from taking advantage of us all.

I got a call from a Mr. James Swans or Swanson. He left a message for me stating I had full approval for a $5000 loan after applying for a loan on 9/1/09. I'm assuming he received my info from a website that I applied with earlier this month or last month. Thanks for all of your comments regarding this company. My daughter also got the call from Jesse Wilson after filling out an application on line.  It sounded soooo good.  He faxed the papers to my house.  I called Jesse myself today after my daughter told me the fastest way to get her private student loan was to "Western Union" wire transfer the money.  I became skeptical because I thought this was a scam because the "collateral security payment" of $910.24 was going to a private investor in the Carribean (most likely Jamaica).  When I ? Jesse about this he said they were private investors and the money was already in Eastgate Lendings account.  All she would have to do was send over that "security payment" and the money would be in her account the next day.  I ? the fact that when I tried checking the BBB they are not listed.  Jesse said it was because they are not a registered company (I believe that's what he said) so they weren't listed but complaints would be listed and if they're weren't any, well then, they're legit!!  I also ? the fact that the faxed paperwork came from a CA area code of 619.  He said they just got a new phone system and something must be "jumbled" up with the phone numbers.  I called my daughter right away after googling if "anybody heard of Eastgate Lending" and this website came up.  I'm so glad she DIDN'T go through with this loan.  It seems as though she would be been out the $910.24 of her student loan money she was going to use to get more to live on.  Live and Learn.  I, too, will be sending a report to www.IC3.gov.  Thanks for the info.
