Sorry to inform everyone, but this is without a doubt a scam.  I have an office at 45 Exchange Blvd, Rochester NY and there is no company by the name Eastgate Lending located here.  I double checked with the landlord and he has no idea who this company is.  He has received calls from people trying to locate them, but he does not know who they are.  Those who have sent money are clearly victims of fraud and should report this.

They have no intention of returning your money - because they are nothing but a scam.  So the 23rd of Oct will come and go and you will never see your money back.  

That is why they have you send it Western Union - once its gone - its gone and no getting it back

On 10/3/09 I got a call from Jim Callaway, a loan officer at Cedarway Financial Group.  He informed me that I was approved for a $35'000 loan, and all I needed to do was fill out and fax an application, give him a copy of my driver's license, and some pay stubs. Oh, and one more thing, 8 months worth of payments that would apply to the principal as a measure of security should I default on the loan.  I was seeing thru rose-colored glasses and convinced my father to lend me $3150 and wired it to Meghan Belousek in Markham, Ontario, Canada.  Jim assured me that my loan would be direct deposited the next day.  After a few days passed with no sign of my loan, I called and Jim transfered me to Wayne Miller, a customer service rep, who informed me that the lender had done a reassessment of my application and determined that they would need an additional 8 months worth of payments to insure my loan.  Were it not for my father's vigilance and my stumbling upon this site, I would have sent them another $3000.  Instead, I requested a refund and was told by Wayne that it would be direct deposited into my bank acct. on 11/2/09.  Having read every post on this forum, I now realize that I will never see that money again.

Now they have all of my information, my money, and my dignity.  I too will proactively report this to the appropriate authorities, as well as the 3 major credit reporting agencies.  

PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM LIKE I DID!!!

I have been online looking for a personal loan, but with bad credit I kept getting rejected.  I need the money to pay off some bills and get ba ck on my feet.  The company that called was Cedarway Financial Group.  The persons name was Thomas Pearson.  He said I was approved for $5,000 at 6% interest with a 3 year term.  He said that I would need to pay six months worth of payments upfront and then I would have the $5,000 in my account within one business day.  I havent sent any money or other information yet.  I was telling my friend about the offer and she said to google the company name.  I'm soooooo glad I did.  I'm desperate like everyone else and was ready to do it.  Thank you to everyone that put this information on here, I was saved and I hope that more people listen to their mental red flags and research an offer when it seems to good to be true.

almost the same no.but same SCAM..1-877-826-8577 but the name of the man is Gerald Carson  from Atlanta ,Ga...we were to  wire money to a Lisa Rains in Ontario Canada so we could get a $15,000.00 loan we stopped payment just in time...THANK GOD!!! we tried calling him that morning just because something didnot seem right to me and the phone had been disconected...so we did stop payment on it thru western union he called us telling us that phonelines were down and he would have to call us ...what a looser...but luckly he didnot get my money...but he is sure a smooth talker...almost out $1,500.00  BEWARE!!!!  Name of this company is MILLFIELD FINANCIAL SERVICES they are scammers....

In this site under the number 877-834-1017 the entries are saying that they recieved their money.  Cedarway Financial I believe are mascarating as loan recievers.  They are tring to scam others by this method and are really ticking me off.  I want them stopped.  Its against the law how do they sleep at night.

I got a call from Chris Ford, from brookview financial. I got approved for a 5000 dollar loan at 6% interest. Because I have pour credit, but yet, On the application I filled out it never did ask for my social security number.I filled out the application here at https://www.loanplus.org/index.html . And if you notice on the box on the side, It said no upfront fees So How did they do a credit check. And I would Have to pay 800 up front And wouldnt have to make a payment until July, and My payments would be 117. And like everybodyies elses story, there were gonna fax me Some papers. So I could sign the aggreement. I aint going through it thanks to this websight. They call me from a restricted phone number which is a red flag there, and on the voice mail the guys number was 1877 834 7018. Its sad how these companies are getting away with these scams.

You guys need to check out the posts on this site under 877-834-7017.  Some jerk, alias "jasonx" is claiming that he actually got his money.  But he won't go into detail about how.

PLEASE get onto that page and refute his claims so that other innocents don't get scammed like we already have!

Any that called eastgate lending and you call 877-834-7017, they both have the exact same phone system. They have the same recording that states the companies name and hours and everything.

i got a call from these losers and got approved. and they wanted me to send money too!!  but cmon how the hell can you people fall for this.  geez are we that stupid and desperate.  you people should be ashamed of yourselves for falling victim to this!

Sorry you lost your money.  The con artists are good at what they do.  You are not alone.  We can hope that they get caught, tell all the athorities and let them do their jobs.  My job is to make sure that the new people that try to do reasearch on these companies see our posts and stop them from sending their money before its too late.

Marvin I was just szcammed afew days ago, wish I had checked for answers before I sent money. The guys had me fooled and I feel so used and abused. Out of 1100 dollars now, rent months behind, notb to include all my other bill. Just out on a limb don't know what to do or where to get help anymore? Anyone ouT there who could suggest let me know. Thanks for the info and k will b more careful. Now I'm stuck with 6 paydayloans cause of this fitious loan co. Oh well I hope I will survive and move forward thanks for listening.

Ben Davis, From East Gate lending Services, stole $996 from me on October 1, 2009. This company is definitely a scam. Ben has me send my money to this [***] in Canada By the name of Margate Edwards. However Ben told me that my money would be refunded to me on October 26, 2009. I tried to call the today, their number is disconnected. It is a very annoying feeling to get ripped off by someone you working three job to better by self..

People please do not read into their bull [***], they are a bunch of thief that is going around ripping poor people off.

did u ever recieve your funds from this company? i read ur message and i am really in the need of a loan but i don't want to lose a little money i am trying to make it off of to pay to get a loan and loose it to a scam. People like myself who really r n the need of financial help hasn't got time to loose athe little bit of money i have hoping to get help from an ad that sounds good.
