I'm just hoping he doesn't give into them.
Certainly do not do anything to warn him or contact him in anyway to tell him that this is an extortion attempt and to not pay it.

I was deleting old messages from my machine and a female voice (her name was mumbled), but she referenced my bank by name and said it was urgent that I return the call at 877-838-4347. I don't respond to less than informative "urgent" calls that give an unknown number for me to call back. I'll call my bank at their direct number and make inquiries regarding this "urgent" call.
I wish I could invent something that tracked all the spam, scam, telemarketing, and general nuisance calls that I get on my phone that I pay the bill on and find a way to charge these knuckleheads a fee for utilizing my phone line.
    "big sigh".

Absolutely a scam! Called US Bank to confirm.  The phone number wants you to verify the last 4 of your credit card number and if that’s not the card you’re calling about, it wants you to enter your credit card number.

No one in my home or on my mobile phone account has a credit card. I answer the call but don’t say anything abt 3 seconds later it hangs up. I called back from different number & they have nothing for the number they’ve been calling in their system 🙄 pretty sure it’s some scammer using their number or they’re just cons 🤷🏽‍♀️ either way they’re BLOCKED :-)

I got an email from Chase telling me that my payment was a day late. I called Chase and they refused to take my payment or provide any information at all. Instead, they said I had to speak to an attorney at this number. One day late and already referred to an attorney??? It doesn't make any sense.

You are either making that up or you didn't actually call Chase bank at their known, published phone number because they certainly would not send something to an attorney that quickly.

This number calls my mobile and land line at least 4 times a day. Every now and then I will answer and there is no sound. Nobody says anything after my initial "Hello." So, I don't know who it is or what they want. Apparently they just enjoy hearing the phone ring. LOL

This number calls me several times a day.    They left a voice message earlier today making threats about disconnecting my phone service. I phoned them back but got a recorded message saying that the call was not completed as dialed.  Scammers trying to make a free buck again.
