- BrianHi,
I am also getting these calls from a Christina from an 882 number, claiming to be calling from the Government of Alberta Business Development Office. She calls at least once every week, three times today. My business partner and I hung up on her twice and she still called back.- Caller: Government of Alberta Business Development Office

- C.Woman with heavy asian accent called one of my office client's lines (and did not even know the name of the client) asking if we were still moving or had found a new space, and when I told her we were not interested in giving out that kind of information, she became very beligerent, stating I had to tell her, because it was the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, she was not making a sales call, and repeated her questions. Gave her the same line that I would not give out that classified information, and she kept arguing with me so I informed her that I was terminating the call and to cease and desist calling this line. Since I answer the phone for many clients, I'm sure I can look forward to a few more of these... Was not able to see the phone number, on my call display it showed up as a re-routed call... probably re-routed from an oversees call centre. (Not that I have much of an issue with those doing legitimate work, only the scammers!)

- bobI received a call from this number. They asked if I was moving soon. I told them, "Yes." They said they could help me find a new place in a better location at a better price. So I told them I was interested. They said they would have to do a credit check to confirm I would qualify for the new place. All I had to do was give them my name, social security number, current address and credit card information. They said they will call me back with the info on my new location. YEA! I am so happy.
- SAM DAVISGot a call from this number and of course they had a foreign accent saying they from the State of Colorado Business Management wanting to know if we moved yet. The State of Colorado uses a different area code. When I asked what he wanted he hung up. I called back but of course the number is no good and from a foreign country.

- Cindy replies to DaveOur office has been plagued by these same types of calls since Dec 2013. They subsided for awhile but just started up today (May 20 2015). So annoying!!
- CindyMy experience has been the same as everyone has reported so far. In our case, the caller said they were from the Alberta Business Development Office. I never answer their question (have you moved or planning to move) but always ask to be removed from their list, and then they promptly hang up.

- Doris GanserJust received a call supposedly from Missouri Business Development Office. Showed on my phone as 1-888-005-1315 (800-Service). She wanted address information, had an address Transimpex Translations has not had since 2009. I offered to call back because bad line (India?). The lady said that was not possible because it was a computer-generated call (although she was human). I tried to verify immediately with the State of Missouri Business Development Office but unfortunately no one answers phone, all recordings. But I have no doubt it was a crank/spam call.

- JanHave received 3 calls in two days saying my Windows has a virus. I told them to stop calling. There is no ice in the background and man with poor English try's talking to me. The only number that show up is 882.

Same indian lady saying that they are calling from the california state chamber of commerce. same thing. made the mistake of saying yes yesterday but realized it was a scam.
she called again.- Caller: California State Chamber of Commerce
- LeslieA stupid scammer with a filipino sounding accent called today saying her/his name was Andy Jackson and they were calling from the Chamber of Commerce needing to update information about our location. They asked if we had moved or not and mentioned something about a VOIP system. I asked for a phone number and they said "they have to do the calling". I kept enquiring about location, and eventually the person said "oh my god" and hung up.
I am getting calls nearly every day from Asia with someone trying to scam me. From what I've heard, these people can no longer attack the bigger companies because their security is too tight so they are now attacking small business. What losers!- Caller: Scam from "Chamber of Commerce"
- Kim Morris| 1 replySomeone calling from the "State of Missouri Business Development office". I told her we were happy where we are and she just kept repeating the quesiton. We get the calls almost everyday, some times multiple times a day. Ridiculous.I'd report them but can't locate them.

- N S replies to Kim MorrisWe are still getting these calls (almost 2 years now). Claiming to be the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. The most recent call, we indicated that the Canadian Chamber of Commerce here in Ottawa Ontario has a warning out on their website for scammers impersonating them to gain information... she immediately hung up
- BeauCaller was a lady with a thick accent and she opened the call with "I'm calling from the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, and we were wondering how you move is going and if you like your new space". I played dumb and said, "I'm just an assistant, let me get you to my manager for these questions" and then the caller hung up. Upon research on here, it sounds like if you confirm any information, they might try to tack on money to your business' phone bill? I do not have the phone number they called from...our caller id said "toll free number"

- AnnoyedAnother fake area code for the call blocker. Block fake area codes like this if you can.
- JimWe get these calls four, five times every day from a variety of numbers, including this one, asking if we are still considering moving. We have asked several times to be removed from their list and they keep calling. I'm sure it's a scam. Don't confirm or tell them anything.
