Since they didn't have a name in the caller ID, I wasn't going to pick up, but my girl friend did and brought me the phone. It was Discover Card.  Since I'm a customer, the call is legal for the no call list (which I'm signed up for).  They didn't try to sell anything.  I believe this is Discover and I don't think they are phishing.  Asked what other payment methods I use other than DC.  Seem to have my account information because he knew I was signed up for bonus program.  Made me aware of special bonus on St Pat's day.  Asked if I had any questions about services and told me to call 800 Discovercard if I ever had any questions.

I just spoke with someone in the fraud prevention department at Discover (by calling 1-800-DISCOVER and being transferred over).  She stated that Discover would, first, have their name come up on the caller ID, and second, no matter what reason they had for calling, would never hang up without leaving a message.  She assured me that they have not been calling me or anyone from that number.  Clearly these are phishers.

So good try to the above poster.  Let us guess, you probably need a lot of our personal information in order for us to opt-out on you, right?

Good phone choice!!  We have one that blocks calls too.  It only lets us block up to 20.  Sometimes I think it should be more.   I just love when the phone rings once and the call gets blocked!!  Take that telemarketers!!!

it says toll free the guy was from discover and tried to sale me their fraud detection stuff.  I told him i was not interested.  I then called the number on the back of my discover card.  I talked to the woman and discussed it.  She looked the number up and said it was indeed a sales call from discover, and then she tried to sell me the same identity crap that guy tried to sale me.  

I was pissed off because were not supposed to use our cell phones when driving the company vehicle. So I had to pull of the side of the road to answer this call.

I receive repeated calls from 888-204-8943. No information comes up on my caller id and I do not
answer the calls but they are insistant with their irritating calls. They come at inappropriate times
and I would like them to stop.

Another reason not to do business with Discover Credit Card.

I received a call from this number, but, as in most cases, nobody on the line. I just called back the number, and it was Discover.  The young lady checked into the call, but, she couldn't find out why I was called and she assured me that this was not a third-party making these type of calls. Most of these companies have an automatic calling system which just dials their customer number, hoping to make some kind of sale, etc. Hopefully, my number has been blocked from this system with them. Time will tell.  +JMJ+

Discover Card really sucks, they call my number and leave no message. I'm on the do not call list,
DC has lousy deals, makes you  think you're getting points, but you'renot getting anything back. A bunch of liars. Be careful ****

It's discover card for sure, They called at 8:00 AM and I called them back, when thy answered I di't sa anything...they kept saying Hello over and over like I dd....screw'm

can't pronounce my name - 5-letter common name. not like it's 24 letters with no vowels. not someone I chose to converse with at suppertime

3 calls from this # in the last 3 days, including Sunday. All 3 calls were caught by my google voice spam filter. If you have a problem with constant calls like this you should look into google voice so you can spam block phone calls just as easy as junk emails.

Again ok if they call, but cooking dinner, starved, after working out, and wanted to relax, and eat in peace.
I had two phone calls back to back at the same time, and non of any importance...

This caller, a lady. wanted to talk to my wife, said she is from Discover Credit Card Servic.I turned the phone to my wife. She asked my wife about seeing an ad. about promotion....
My wife told her that my ife never seen it and not intersted. I don't think the caller works for Discover Credit Serivces. my wife  asked " don;t call again:. 10,21, A.M. 08/25/2012

No one ever answers and no message left.  Quit calling my numgber!!
