this is the most horrible story i have ever encountered in my life! you are very lucky to have gotten out of there.

We received a call (on our machine) from a one Stanley Sims and called from (323)988-4249 The guy sounded very uneducated to be a bill collector. When I called him back to get more information the secretary (male) asked who I needed to be transferred to when I told him he put me on hold then a minute later he returned and ask the case name and number now mind you I wrote it down wrong so when I told him the number he went off with a bunch of fake mumbo jumbo saying he'd be right back with the paperwork.
He left me on hold for two minutes then the man who I originally asked for suddenly popped up on the phone!
He then asked me the same questions I answered and he told me I had the case number wrong (fishy right? I mean didn't the receptionist just tell me it was the correct case number now I am wrong?) so he then talks to me a bit before finally asking "wait are you the case holders wife?" lmao [***] should have asked that first right? So anyhow he finally realizes he can't talk to me because I'd be a waste of his time so he hangs up on my

Hershey Kemp told me my son took out a payday loan and it was sent to them for collection, $179.00, my son is disabled, and when things like that happens he has "friends who talk him into it, so i agreed to pay the $179.00.  they took it out of my account 2 more times and told me he owed the pay day loan place another account, i said they don't give you more loans if you owe them. they now just took it out of my account a 4th time.  and will not talk to me any more! something really needs to be done with these people!

That's not quite the case. They are allowed to call you at work up until the time you tell them not to. Further calls after that are illegal.

Dear Gary, we are not saying that if we DO owe a bill and someone is trying to collect, that it is a scam, the scam is when some one tries to collect on a bill you don't owe, or you PAYED OFF what you owed but they still keep taking more money out of your accounts, and the police are hot on there trail for a reason, watch who your calling a deadbeat, deadbeat!

My husband had received a call from 1-888-217-9707 .  Experiencing the exact same things from scare tactics and threatening  arrest. I have right now before me a statement from Hearshe Kemp LLC that I owe  $576.12 !!!!! a debt I never had!  Twice they got into MY account without My authorization, total of $324.00. Please check for any "HOLDS" from your banks for additional money to be released. My bank said the "hold" was already to be release to Heashe and Kemp and I couldnt stop them in time.  So check your bank accounts for any money "HOLDS" so that your not robbed twice like i was!!  ALSO told by Hearshe Kemp office I would be reimbursed., but that never happened. I TALKED to my bank again and told them what was happenening!!!!  They are going to do an investigation on Hearshe and Kemp as soon as they get my letter!! So everyone who had money taken out of their accounts, report it to your banks and they will tell you to write a letter to your bank and tell them exactly what happened. Write on letter and envelope c/o "card services," and most likely you will be reimbursed any money that was released to the crooks!  I will be sending my bank all "replys" and information from this posted cite. Thank you everyone! I will let you all know the outcome from my bank.
