We just got a call from Matt Monroe from Brennan & Clark.  They claimed to be referred to me by our east coast office.  They didn't give detail just gave me a file # and said I knew what this was about.  I returned call but this Matt Monroe was not there.  

I left a message but no one returns call.

I picture a room full of collection agents leaving these messages 200 times/day...roflmao.

I got a call from a robert sterling, he left a message staing that if I did not return his call within 24hrs that he would "consider taking possible legal action against me".  All he did was leave his return number and some kind of case number.  Sounds like the guy is full of Sh%t.

The same guy called business I work at and asked me to leave mesage for my boss to call him at 888-217-3212 ext.235
He was very mean and when I started to talk to him in the same tone he was talking to me ,he jast repeated the message and hung up.

well the brennan and clark debt collecting company is facing quite a legal battle. according to our state records, they have been found guilty of every fair credit reporting act. they act and get people to believe they are lawyers, but they are lowlife debt collectors. they harass and threaten debtors. and usually the info they have is false. i am working with the state to bury these f..... ass.........

They have called me and harrassed me for a couple weeks.  Im glad I stumbled across this.  They have definately told me numerous times I will be facing tough legal battles, and they will "make examples out of me" and "will take anything I have of value to settle this."

Today when I told him yet again, I had no intentions of dealing with them, he asked me if he should file this through my attorney, or me personally... haha.  Thanks for the forum guys... glad I came here.

well, william..they act like lawayers and threaten people..and by the way they break all debt collecting laws. you cannot threaten to sue if there are no intentions to do so. this company is in such a legal mess. do not give them any information..or money..they are going down eventually, anyways.

First a person by the name of Mike Subin called me threatening me that they will take me to court if I don't pay for something that I already paid.  I ask them to show a receipt of non-payment but they say they won't show it unless we go to court.  Sounds fishy doesn't it?  Then a person claiming to be a lawyer call me asking me to pay for the lawyers fee and the amount due.  Say that he wants to talk to my attorney and the court of NJ require an attorney for any business related matters.  Also he threaten me to go to court and he say he'll go into my bank account and force me to take my money out.  Is this legal?

well first of all..no one that works for brennan and clark are lawyers..they are telemarketing debt collectors..it is illegal to claim they are a lawyer..you can sue them..they violate everything in the fair debt reporting act..do not give them any money, information, etc..

they are being sued and have been sued for these reasons..they are scammers and need to go down.

I got a call from these guys and didn't call back because I read the post above....I just got served today! Thanks a lot! You people should not give advice if you don't know what you're talking about.

Dear All: Concerning Brennan & Clark, What they are doing is illegal! There has already been a class-action suit against them & there needs to be another one! Everybody at once needs to write to their Senators & State Attorney Generals by regular mail &/or Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested. It is only a husband & wife that ARE the company but constantly had harrassed our friends until that was legally stopped by what was done by legal counsel called: "The Cease And Desist Letter" which may be discovered in a local library in your area! Once given to this comapany Pretending to be a law firm, pretending to collect a valid debt (all alledged)one must Stop the harrassment techniques imposed by these people! What a shame to make up so many names. They should go back to court & pay these victims, of whom are so many!!!! We are not lawyers, nor do we give any legal advice but the legal advice given, granted & conducted for our friends in Az. was great for them! We are deeply saddened & concerned by so many victims, they must STOP these phishing tactics! God Bless All Victims of this "PHISHING Company", shame on them No matter what name (Mister ? Mrs. ?, etc.) on any given day they give themselves in the name of fantasy &/or fiction!

Received  two nasty voicemails from Brennan & Clark on behalf of Hubert Jones. I called him back and left a message but haven't heard from them since.  I don't know what it's about either.  Good thing I work all the time and have an answering machine.

Yeah this is a collection agency and yes I have worked there but not as a caller.  They do have very scandalous tactics to collect money.  They have no sympathy for anything anyone has to tell them.  They will not listen to anything you have to say they just want money.  Worse yet are these callers bosses.  They are the real problem because they tell the callers what to do and say even if it is illegal.  There is a fine line that they cross everyday and have been sued before in the past. So nothing will stop them.

Hey do me a favor and  call the guy ed hallisy..  He will [***] a brick.  He goes under the name joe pawolowski and acts as a lawyer.  It would be funny as hell.

This company is Brennan and Clark,a collection agency..They called saying I owed money to an insurance company although the policy was cancelled. Also wanted me to call by 3pm today,or else I guess! I have already written stating the policy was cancelled and I do not owe the money. Does not stop the calls however....

you so realise that the suit closed in 2000 right?

I had a debt a guy named Robert Stirling from Brennan and Clark, I paid the bill over the phone and will update this blog  about what happens next because after I paid that now it is two days later and a different guy from there calls and left me a message with a ref # and saying some store I neve heard of and a owner name I neve heard of. I think these guys are scammers. The new guy who is fishing for money from me is named Ben Devine which sounds like a fake name anyway. The phone number to Brennan and Clark is 1-888-217-3212 Robert Stirlings extension is 6125 unless they change it. The next guy is Ben Devine extension  338 I will report back here with updated info when I get it figured out.
