- Carol LietoWe received a phone call that we owed money to Gap. We unfortunately called back, and gave a credit card number. I have reported the card stolen. However, my daughter gave out her social security number and now we are worried.
- Caller: Said to be GAP credit company
- Call type: Debt collector
- bluesteelThis number is from GE Money Bank, which represents the credit services for GAP, Banana Republic, and Old Navy. They told me that I have an overdue account, which was true.
- Caller: GE Money Bank (GAP, BR, Old Navy)
- Call type: Debt collector
- KTMCaller ID says "Georgia 1-678-516-2880". Automated message says they are calling about my Old Navy Card and I should call 888-248-3182 for important information.

- smshThese people are such jerks! They called me at 8am on a Saturday! Seriously?!? Just because it may be in the middle of the day wherever the Gap has outsourced their employees (India, China, etc.) does not mean it is ok to call me on my day off at the butt crack of dawn! 9am is reasonable, but even that is cutting it close! Then, to have to try to understand their broken English?!? Come on!!!! Definitely not able to go to sleep after that! I went to the Gap card website and found that the number is different, I called that number (866.450.4467) it took me 5 minutes to get a person on the phone, and when I did she said "good evening". I told her my plight, and asked if the 888.248.3182 number is associated with the Gap, she said it was, and that it was for collections and that I needed to pay my bill. I told her that I did not have an account, and she said (very sarcastically) "oh sure". I asked where she was, and she informed me that 'our call centers are in Colorado' I then asked why she said "good evening". She told me she mis-spoke (yeah, my foot). I asked to speak to her supervisor because I wanted them to stop calling me, and she said that I'd have to hold, I started holding then hung up. I then contacted the 888.248.3182 number, used the little * trick that I read here to confuse the heck out of the annoying and very unhelpful automated operator, and when I got to a human they didn't believe that I didn't have an account either. However, they said that they'd take my number out of their system. We'll see...I do have to say that I am very disappointed with the Gap card people. I do actually have an account with them, but I wasn't going to give them that information, because I know it's not me that they're calling for (my current balance is $0), but I'm bummed that they are so annoying, rude, inconsiderate, and difficult to deal with.

- jacquie goganA woman named Tina called my mothers house looking for me. She said she was from Old Navy but when I researched the number online and called it, it asked me for my Credit card or account number. Obviously I'm not stupid enough to enter it, what do I need to do? I don't want these creeps trying to call my parents house, I haven't lived there in a while. I'm currently living in England so I'm unable to do anything about it right now, please advise.
- ManyaGot a call this morning from this number representing GE Credit. Realizing that they were a criminal enterpise I called the number to see what I could learn. They represent themselves as being from India and could not explain why their voicemail response was Gap credit when the orginal call was from GE Credit. They knew my name from my home number so these hacker criminals have access to data bases. FYI - GE Credit operates as "GE Money."

- ElliI have received numerous phone calls from this number (all times of the day and every day of the week). I do not answer calls that I do not know and especially while I'm at work where I can not answer my cell phone. Please DO NOT CALL ME.
- anonymous88888-248-3182 call me 3,4,5,6, sometimes 7 times a day. I called them a month ago to tell them i'm not the person they are looking for. the woman said it would take a few hours to be removed from the call list. that was a month ago!! and they are still calling me multiple times a day. i am on the phone with them right now talking to someone by the name of Adam Williams who also said he has removed me from the system. I asked to speak to a manager and am now on hold - we'll see how long they keep me on hold...its already been 9 minutes.
- Caller: the gap
- Call type: Debt collector
- anonymous88UPDATE: After asking to speak with a manager, I've been on hold with them for over a half and hour. When Adam Williams came back I told him I was not going to get off the line until I received an email from them stating in no uncertain terms that my cell phone number was removed from their system. Then put on hold for more time. When he came back he offered me a mailing address that I could write to complain. If they have the technology to call me 5 times a day, surely they can provide me with written proof that they've removed me from the system. It's now been 37 minutes!

- shermanI've been having calls from this number daily. When I answer, it's a recording regarding my Banana Republic card. I immediately went online to check my balance and it was what it should be. I schedule my payments weeks in advance so I won't forget. I don't know why they're calling me but I wish it would stop.
- nateThey're callling me on my mobile phone all the time. When I called back it asked to enter my Banana Republic card #, I didn't have it at the time. Instead called my BR card number and nothing was wrong accept and old account phone number had come up.
I'd STAY AWAY form this number. Call you card company directly from the number found on the back of your card.- Caller: Claim to be GAP
- MarilynI do have an Old Navy card, have had it for 10 years... I recently got a little behind, and they have been calling non-stop. Well, I made a payment, and set up automatic payments every 2 weeks for the next several months, and they still are calling multiple times every day. I get calls from 2 different numbers, both for the same card. They don't leave messages, just keep calling. It's obnoxious - I already paid it! I would understand if I hadn't, but since I did, I'd like to be left alone.
- Caller: GE Bank

- LexisI have also been recieving calls from this number for over a month. I don't have any credit cards and have only had this number for about 7 months. I have spoken to several different people and told them they have the wrong person and to take me off their list. It's 10:06 and they have called me 3x's so far. My husband is in the army and gets up at 4am every morning. This is a form of harassment!
