Hey I'm from Arlington TX and I got one too. Dont believe that they meant to send it to Floridians only because they sent me a voucher and they have an Arlington address listed on it. It was sent from my town with all my personal information!

Hey! What did you find out about your visit to AVC? I received the same letter on the 9th, but I just ignored until today when I thought I would check it out. I came across this and I am thankful I haven't called yet. I just want to know what was said to you. My number was different though. 800-525-1289.

I received this same letter and quite frankly this type of stuff really makes me angry. What kind of people send out things like this during a time where gas prices are at an all time high and the price of food is soaring!? Ofcourse some people are going to give in and call because they are broke and think this is their "break." Not to mention, who wouldn't love to take a vacation and win a new car?!?
I got to thinking about what drawing I entered to win such an amazing prize. The only drawing I had entered was to win a riding lawnmower.LOL! No BMW was mentioned on that list. Then that got me to thinking even more. I had just filled out an application for a new car to run a credit check. Has either of you done this recently?
Also, I haven't read that this has happened to anyone else, but the same day that I received this in the mail, I also received the exact same looking envelope as mine but with an unfamiliar name on it. It was my address but a name I did not recognize. Jeramy Wiley. I thought maybe they meant to put my husbands name which is the same initials....this instantly made me think SCAM!

I received a similar voucher/invitation for a free Mercedes Benz/BMW or Porsche. It also gave you the option of shopping sprees or 5 day/4 night vacations. Sounds too good to be true, so I started looking on the internet for them and came across what others had found out. Thanks for the heads up. I didn't even call them, doesn't sound legitimate to me either. If you were a true winner in this day and age, they would be mailing you or sending you some legitamate mail from the United States Postal Service.

I got a yellow card with NEW MERCEDES, BMW, PORSCHE OR $40,000 CASH promotion. It also has all that other crap in there too like Royal Carribean cruise and shopping sprees. The number is 1-800-327-4614 and it says call within 72hrs. to claim your prize. I didnt call because i wanted to make sure it was a scam.

Glad i googled. just got it today. same letter with congratulation you won a mercede blah blah blah and travel voucher from:
AVC Travel 2400 W.Pioneer Pkwy Ste 210, Arlington 76012 #1800-309-8595 signed Susan Murray.

Just got the same letter today with voucher and total offer of $1,295.
The no. to call is 1-800-327-4614 to talk to Sandra or Kim. Letter signed by Susan Murray as Awards Director.

Yep, I got one too ---today in fact. I've gotten them before and I usually tear these things up but decided to call for 'giggles and kicks'. I asked lots of questions and asked them to send me their 'package' out of curiosity. Not going of course. You don't have to buy anything according to them, but the kicker was that my wife had to be there. If not, I (we) would not be awarded any prize via the scratch off card after the 90 minute tour. What a crock. Also the background noise from the second person I talked to sounded like the guy was at a kids birthday party.

That sounds great.  Give them what they deserve.

It seems that AVC Travel keep on changing their phone number, but not the address. I just received same official looking boarding pass like everyone else. The new phone number they are using now is 800-309-8595. Beware everyone!

i got a letter from AVC .the number used is 18884504610,i didnt bother to call after i googled it .ITS A SCAM!

Where they;ve got our names & addresses?

It all comes back to "If it sounds to good to be true..."

Anyone know how can we report these people to law enforcement? Or maybe just make a big noise on the web so they stop this.

I got the same letter - thank goodness for this site.   There should be a law that requires some kind of disclaimer on these offers.

When my friend and I went to Vegas, we were offered a timeshare sit and listen, We went. They gave us what they said they would just for coming and staying 2-3 hrs. Today, I got a letter from a company called AVC. I thought it might be like what I was offered in Vegas. After reading what everyone has to say about this company, I will not call them. I just what to say, Thank You for saving me the headache!!!!

There's no free lunch folks! If you're interested in giving your hard earned money away, try donating it to a local charity or food bank that services others who are less fortunate than you. Also be sure to shred and recycle the paper that these "free offers" arrive printed on, you'll be doing more for yourself and everybody else that way!

I also got a mail AVC containing boarding passed and it says I have won Merced or BMW car. Is it true or it is a scam

Yes there is a street called River Bend it is out by Love Field off of 35 but I can't find 2400 W. Pioneer Pkwy in Arlington and with the zip code.
