Thanks to everyone for your posts. I live in Houston, TX and have a friend who lives in Arlington, TX. Consequently I kinda thought she might have entered me in some contest. However, in spite of how juicy the fake vouchers looked, before I picked up the phone I did a web search and found this site - Good thing too. Got another chance to use that new paper chipper. Boy it sure works good (heh heh heh).
    Cheers.

i just did this after much doubt. the place to meet was 35 minutes north of me. they sent me a $100 gas card so i figured i would check it out.

The tour of the resort/timeshare was very nice and relaxing. Lots of older folks that made over 40k a year abviously. it lasted an hour and half.

we then ate and received a folder with a scratch off ticket and other misc paperwork (to choose where our 4 day vacation would take place).

Easy. I won $500. My wife also won $500.
    Cash.

I declined all timeshare pitches and drove home, laughing hystericly.

two weeks later,my wife and i receive a huge envelope with tickets and misc things for our trip we forgot about. We chose to go to Las Vegas. We were holding airfare and suite confirmations. Bought and paid for LOL.

Once in a while they call back to see if we would like a timeshare and checked our email for any great deals, but we decline and hang up.

Not a scam if you can say NO and not be sold. Unless of course, you want a timeshare. This is legit. Not one company, but advertisement for other new resorts and timeshares. You people dont know what ya'll missed haha

I got a letter from AVC Travel Disbursement Division, 2400 W. Pioneer Pkwy. Suite 210, Arlington, TX 76013, phone: 1-888-435-9129.
Stating that I WON the new His & Hers Smart Cars, a Hybrid Toyota, or Lexus SUV plus $5,000 in Free Gas or $49,000 CASH; or the $1,500 Shopping Spree at Saks Fifth Avenue etc..etc..etc.. I knew it was too good to be true, so I decided to check it out on the internet and after reading all your comments...I threw the letter away.  Thank you for sharing online about these scams.

I got the same letter and "voucher" with the 800-238-9720 phone number.  I live in a suburb of Chicago, so they're expanding their operation.  I plan to forward this to local authorities.

Soo..I received the same letter, bla bla bla....I made an appointment on Aug 17 and was told: "you will not leave disappointed". I guess I have to travel to this place for a tour and then they take me to the "awards center" to receive my prizes. The lady I spoke to on the phone said "Everything is legit and I promise everything is a gurantee". Are they really allowed to say all of this if it's a scam?
I've read all the messages on here and all you people are doin is talking about how its a scam, no one seemed to go through with it to really find out. I spoke to another representative and he said most likely I'll receive the 500 cash and hes going to give $40 in gas vouchers...if thats true, I really dont mind sitting for an hour listening to someone babble about whatever and leaving with $540 in my pocket. Aside from that, if I was to go on the cruise but have to pay taxes, gratatuaties and 50 for deposit..thats fine with me...
I really wish someone would post what happened when they went to this tour or seminar instead of "I didnt call or go but it's a scam".

    &*%#$ gullible replies to Anonym
God, if that is even how its spelled.  Same story.  Received voucher. Same number.  ATV Travel.  Seemed to good to be true.  Have me booked for a 90 min tour of some resort, which after that means i scratch a ticket and win one of the four prizes??????  The guy on the phone told me if i won 49,000 $$$ i would be sure not to forget about him???  Sometimes I dislike how optimistic, and in the end gullible i can be.  So this is a hoax.  Damn them for tricking people into a scam who rightfully deserve any of the cruise, free gas card to cover your trip out, hybrid car etc...

Yup, same deal.  But I think they have gotten smarter.  They do disclose that you will get your stuff after the timeshare presentation.  As to the prizes, they do indicat that the prizes are not that you got all of them, but the possibility of the car,,,yadda yadda yadda.  But we all know you will get the 500 bucks, provided you call.  And the cruise?  Yeah, like I want to go on a cruise that costs 795,,,sure, what is the view of?  the bilge?  No thanks,,,remember, if it seems too good to be true,,it is.

    same arlington address, number 1-80-327-4614
