- TomI am not verizon customer. Nearly, I was charged by verizon for prepay phone. My account was charged 4 time a day. I have no idea. But I think Verizon should do something , according to some people have the same problem like me.
- Pee'ooh'ed replies to mark- verizon wireless prepaid repYou're full of it I just got off the phone with a CSR and they said the card holders name does not have to match the account holder. THERE IS NO FRAUD PROTECTION. I have never bought anything from verizon and now I am sure I never will
- angryandfreaakymad replies to witznI don't now hold u guys can pull money of somecard with out ask how old the person is but anyway I going to find me a lawyer to look in to it. becasue this has being going on every sence August until Nover so I think that you need to cancer it before it go any far.
- CraigI had two charges for $5.32 associated with:
VZWRLSS*ETM NNYD***** 800-922-0204 NJ
I wasn't sure what it was... I struggled with VZW customer service and got no answers (like the rest of you). Then I remembered I had bought a couple iPad cases from Verizon a while back. So no fraud in my case, but just in case any of you are wondering, it was for their online store (and you don't need service to buy from their store). - Seanisfreetotravel replies to sweetangelgreeneyesI know why too! Why don't you just get this behind you. Don't you just want to get it off your chest? It will haunt us the rest of our lives.
- angelas replies to mark- verizon wireless prepaid rep| 2 repliesWell my fiance has over 800 dollars worth of charges on his VISA prepaid verizon wireless
He has an account with verizon that is not prepaid.
He is going to his bank to investigate but how can they just charge his account for almost a year now at $21.35 a pop. He never payed attention to his statements until i got them for him to review online.
Im amazed they have gotten away with this many charges. - VERIZON PRE_PAID IT REP replies to angelasThere are other ways that an unauthorized card holder is able to use your credit/Debit card. I have been with VZW pre-paid for over 3 years now; as of now, I know all the tricks in the book from those crooks.
1. Everytime a customer calls we ask to verify secutity code, name on account, address and sequrity question/answer. If there has never been a security code set up, its defaulted to the last 4 of the phone number. Now that person can make up a new code and take over the account; known as a (High jack account).
2. Now since that customer took over the account ANY NAME CHANGE on the account can be made.
3. Us reps. do have the authority to stop any fradulent activity/ or suspicius activity on the account; but if the account was verified correctly we have to give them the benefit of the doubt to the customer.
4. Payments to prepaid account: Scenario 1.: John Doe calls in to make a payment with a credit card, if the name on the account is under 'John Doe and the cards name is under Chuck Noris; payment will not be processed.
Scenario 2. John Doe calls in to make a payment with a credit card, if name on account is under 'John Doe and card is under Chuck Noris; payment will not be processed. If John Doe decided to change the name on account to Chuck Noris, payment will be processed after verifying billing information.
***CHUCK NORIS DOESNT MAKE PAYMENTS TO VZW, VZW MAKE PAYMENTS TO HIM.***
5. If credit/debit card was los or stolen; someone can easily buy a replenishment card and call VZW to add credit to their pre-paid phone.
6. Some others will leave credit/debit card on file by accident and will set them up autopay and forget about it. That might be a reason why you get constant charges on your statement.
THIS IS ALL I CAN INFORM. ANY QUESTIONS MESSAGE ME. - mat replies to nickThis happen to me last night WTF
- tennesseeits May 2012 and I just discoverd I am being billed from a verizon poster as well with this 888-294-6804 number appearing on my bank statement with the charge, verizon has no charges to my account from them for anything yet I have been getting 2 charges a month for 20.84 since January, coincidently i orderd 2 prepaid cells from verizon and got them and had them set up for each to be 20 auto pay, the phones came like they were suppose to and worked just fine when i activated them but the minutes/service i was billed never made it to my 2 phones . I think this is a phising scam, somone is posing as verizon and selling the cell phones and service as if they are verizon, mailing out prepaid cells you can buy at any store, then billing you for service themselves instead of it coming from the real verizon, so verizon if your reading this, u might want to check it out and as for me filed a fraudulant charge with my bank which is actually a great bank and didnt need a bail out from the govt, and is reimbursing me my losses
- ChristineThis company is also charging our american express, twice a month for the past two months.

- MayThis vzwrlss prepaid scam is worldwide! I booked several hotels in the US and then the charges started appearing on my credit card. Not only do I not have an account with any American telco but I live in Australia! I also have charges from Sprint wireless as well as Vesta Boost Prepaid so I am feeling pretty popular as well as angry. Needless to say, I have cancelled my credit card but I have to contact all of the hotels and booking agents to give them my new details so whose to say it won't happen again?
I just hope that it doesn't mess up any of my bookings. I would have used paypal but a lot of places don't take it if you live outside of America.- Caller: No call
- Keng - Alexandria, VA replies to AngryI discovered a $200 debit payment to a closed Verizon account. I do not pay Verizon on line because my bill is automatically payed by my credit card. I do not recall making the payment. My bank sent them a fax to credit back the money but they keep stalling, telling me that they need a void check with a routing number when my bank already sent the info; and it was an online transaction. So I called again and got a different person saying that what they promised me (they will credit the money) was not noted on my file. So I said just write me a check and send it to me. After 4 weeks of going back and forth for them to credit the money back, I made sure I print screened the email with the date in case I take them to small claims court I have proof, I sent letters to Verizon headquarters to let them know that the customer service representative I talked to promised that the check will be mailed by this week 8-28-12 and I have a delivery confirmation receipt.
- ramon pinasomebody is charging from this number
- RaquelI logged into my online checking/debit card account that i have thru my bank to see what my balance was because i had to make sure i had enough money in my account to pay the college that i go to for my classes this semester. I had noticed a weird "Check Description" that says: CHK PURCH PIN VZWRLSS DEBITMA VISN FOLSOM CA VZWRLSS DEBITMA VIS. I then noticed i was CHARGED $97.80 from this company on the date of 8/27/12. The only other transaction that was made on that same date was me making a DEPOSIT of $150. A few days later on my bank statement it shows I also made a payment of $73.03 to Verizon Wireless on 8/30/12. But the Check Description for this one was the normal one that says:
VZ WIRELESS VN E CHECK. So I logged into my online account thru Verizon to see if i had made two payments on my cell phone bill for some reason, but sure enough, i logged into my account and it ONLY shows the ONE payment that i DID MAKE of $73.03 on 8/30/12. I have gotten a call from this number before but i do not have it in my phone log anymore. AND i am now receiving other number that are almost like this one they are start with 888-???-???. I NO longer answer them. But i do not know where to go from here. Should i go to my bank first and show them this whole website that i found when i copied and pasted: CHK PURCH PIN VZWRLSS DEBITMA VISN FOLSOM CA VZWRLSS DEBITMA VIS into my google web browser and bring in my statement that shows the payments i have made to Verizon Wireless?- Caller: WHO COULD I CALL?
- Julie replies to CarolynJust had over $2000 stolen from my account by same... ahhhhhhh now have to contact bank.. Why is this still going on when everyone is in the same boat...
