Ellie/Allie left me a message today saying I won a $50,000 home makeover. Number was 888-301-0702 ext. 421. I called it back and a very nice man answered. Asked for Ellie/Allie--she was gone for the day. Said he could help verify my prize. Said I would call her back in the morning.  Sounds like a scam to me.

same message from ellie - Googled the number and this is where I ended up.  One day I will probably really win a prize and never get it because I never believe anyone on the phone!

Same call today (2012 Aug 8) from "Ellie" for the $50k home makeover. Caller ID shows the number as 888-323-5162 (name "UNAVAILABLE") but the message on my answering machine requests a callback at 888-301-0702, x421. Did not call back.

I got a message to just like the rest of you guys. They don't even change it up a bit. When I called the number no answer. Total scam. Ugh

Got the same call yesterday 8/9/2012 from "Ellie" at 888-301-0702, ext 421...called the number for fun ( I figured it was probably a scam of some sort)...no one answered..same message that I was chosen for a $50,000 home makeover.  Huh!  thought I would check online for home makeover scams and found this site...glad I looked.

I got a call today saying I'd won a $50,000 home makeover.  Same damn phone number.  Said I had entered online, in one of our stores, or at the local mall.  Right off the bat they asked for personal information.  I immediately said I couldn't answer that question and this sounded like a fraud.  She hung up on me right then.

Wow just got the same message from Ellie, she must have alot of money to give away. I mean $50,000, how many winners is there? They should take the money that no one claims and donate it to Habit for Humanity. That way many homes could be built for those in need,

I had no idea where this person was calling from as it was cut off in the message. But I believe this to be a spam type call. My number is unlisted and unpublished. They called from 888-301-0702.

Got the same call about $50K home make-over tonight Aug 14th - thanks for the posts. I knew I hadn't filled out any forms and was curious what this person was trying to accomplish.

we received the same message just last week.  Called from work which is a blocked number and got no answer.

Got the same call from Ellie at this number and ext.421.  Never filled out any contest forms. Checked the number on website and here I am!! Another scam...

I just got that call too from Ellie - and here I am...I always knew I was a winner!!

Yup, same message.  Poor Elli calls me all the time... apparently my name is pulled "last night" every few months.  Total Scam.  grrrr.

My husband filled out the form, I didn't; I never do.  I figured they wanted to sell me something, and was 99% sure I didn't really win anything, but called back.  I don't understand why they don't answer.  If they already have my phone #, and that's all they want, why setup a fake # to call back?  If they want to try to scam me, don't they have to talk to me and try to get me to send them money?  I guess this type of scam is new to me and I would like to know why calling back is bad?
