Called me here in Canada;  didn't answer as I never answer a number I don't know.  No message left.

Called again today;  as before, I never answer a number I don't know.

Same thing they call twice a week same time of day morn and afternoon the first call I answered to tell them do not call back as I run a business from my home and do not take these calls from unknown numbers   .  Sometimes they leave a blank message dead air or just plain  hang up.  I now push hold on my phone and just let them sit there and pay for their call to me . Then the calls stop for awhile as soon as they  start again I put them on hold 😆 Seems to work

They've called a few times and of course, again today.  I've let my answering machine take the call in case it's legit (though I seriously doubt it).  Well, after a few calls and no message left, that confirms to me it's crap and now it's being entered into my blocked list.  While it may appear to be a legit company telemarketing on behalf of amex, they must know they are annoying and nobody wants to talk to them.
What we need are better laws.  Rather than putting the onus upon me to ask them not to call and inform them I am on the "do not call" list and report them if they continue, the onus should be on them to be permitted to call.  All telemarketers (not the scammers) should be regulated and have to obtain a license to operate, adhering to strict rules about time of day, leaving messages, displaying their true names and on and on.  In the meantime, thanks to the people who invented my call blocking phone feature.

they have called me every day between 10 and 11 am since last week. Due to my work schedule i nap from 9:30 - 11 every day monday to friday. As I am here complaining, i'm obviously not happy about it and the couple times i did manage to get the phone there was nobody there. These people are not making this up and neither am I.
I did however just phone them back and asked to not be called again, the guy seemed very nice and said that was no problem. He asked if I ws some business, fraser something or other and I said no (that's why they're calling probably) and that was that. if i get another call tomorrow morning during my nap time i will be back lol

I just got a call with dead air from this number.
Having worked in call centers for a number of years in the past, the numbers are all computer generated and dialed. The poor representative that calls you really doesn't have any control over how many times a day/week/month you get called. Harassing them really doesn't get you very far which is why nothing changes. They fill in a form and rely on somebody else to do the work.
The hangups/dead air on the other hand can be lots of things, don't assume it's the representative. If it's a typical call center and they are selling, they need to talk to people, so hanging up on you is quite counterproductive. The computer can be hanging up thinking there is no response, there can be a delay to connect to the representative if the computer is slow or lots of other things going on.
It's easy to want to blame the representative but you're better off reporting the company as having violated the DNC.

This number has been blocked on my phone for over a year.  Once again, they are calling every single day despite being cut off almost instantly.  Panasonic phones with call blocking are the best!

I get this call once a day but fortunately it is to my cell phone where Mr. Number instantly blocks it by hanging up on them! I love wasting their time and resources! Keep calling [***]!

This number called my office extension, she didn't identify who she was and was quite rude when I wouldn't put her through to the owner of the company or our CFO.

I called the number back and it was something like Bill Cothing Outsourcing for American Express

What I don't get here: this stupid company/phone number have been reported as SPAM for over EIGHT 8 years now! Why isn't something done about it? I get them calling me at least once a month. Fortunately I have SPAM blocker on my cell phone and they NEVER get through to me. But what can be done?

I called the number back and got an answer, they are based out of London Ontario and are trying to get you signed up for a credit card but have a funny way of doing it since they hang up when you answer. I've asked them to remove us from their contact list and was told they would, we'll see.

Been calling for years and years...never getting an answer. I blocked the number years ago but had to empty the call blocker yesterday since it was full. guess who called first thing today? I gather their robot has been calling my phone for years.

NOW PAY ATTENTION AMEX....because of this ongoing harassment, I will NEVER enrol to receive your card. Ditch alliance!!!!

They have called me 5-8 times every single day now for the past 2 weeks. I have picked up no one is ever there and they do not leave a voice mail. I am sick and tired of this company wasting my time.

This number is from American Express who are selling credit cards to people. I complained about them to CRTC here https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng

As per CRTC, they have been receiving some complaints about this number, but only take action once sufficient number of complaint are recieved. PLEASE Complaint to CRTC on the above link. It is a simple form to fill and companies have been fined millions due to this telemarketing strategy.
