I recieved this call this morning from this number on my cellphone. Talking about me oweing money to some cell phone company 11 years ago. Gave me the last for of my SS# that scared the crap out of me. Gave me a address I never lived at. The amount of money owed was not a large amount but I check my credit very offten and nothing ever comes up from this cell phone company nor this amount. I have clean credit.

I get called once a week and I have been looking for a job so I frequently get calls from numbers I don't now. SUE THESE GUYS PLEASE

I just save these types as a phone contact with a name like Scam Caller Indian Accent or something similar so I don't answer twice on same number.

Keeps calling - never leaves a message - we are on the do not call list. Thanks

I just got a call this evening.  It was a women who claimed I owed $ to a bill from a P.O. box in a town I lived in 17 years ago!  I told her there is no way I owe any $ since I was 17 at the time I didn't have anything in my name.  She came back with " How would I know this was once your address!?!"  I said "how the hell should I know how you know anything, but send me something in wriing so I can follow the proper channels to dispute the debt!"  Then she wanted my address.  "No friggen way am I giving you any of my information over the phone.  Send me a letter, and make a record of my dispute to the proper credit agencys!" She said "FINE - So you dispute the debt?" Yep - and click - she hung up.  We'll see - but if they call again I will report them to the Attorney General

This number has been calling me for weeks. Anytime between 8am-10pm. They dont leave a message nor answer me when I pick up.

I also get calls from this number: 888-316-6088.  No response upon my answering; no message. The next call, I'm gong to report to the FTC.

I keep getting calls from phone number 888-316-6088. I keep telling them they have the wrong number and they are using all my cell phone minutes. Now they weasels are calling ALL THE TIME! Who are these [***]???  Just to make it worse they have awful accents and I can barely understand that they are asking for someone named Sheila. I have NEVER known a Sheila!!!

They've been calling me for like 2 months. Haven't answered. Always a random time. Sometimes I have a voicemail that's an automated computer voice listing numbers. Weird.. still won't answer!

They keep calling and asking for a person with the same name as me. But they want to speak to a man. I am a woman and told them so. They keep hanging up on me.

They began calling me just recently multiple times per day. It turns out they were attempting to collect a debt from 16 years ago! I spoke with an Attorney who had informed me that the Statute of Limitations for any potential suit regarding said debt, garnishment, etc expires anywhere between 3-6 years in most states. They have no legal ability to collect. If you retain an Attorney- approx $250- they can no longer call you and all communication must be sent to the Attorney. If they violate that, record the calls- and the Attorney can then sue them under the fair debt act for $1,000 and upwards for additional acts.

They call once a day.  They claim I owe them 2k from 1993.
Asked me to verify my ssn?!?!  I don't think so.  Told them not to call again.

Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Got a call tonight at 10:45 p.m. from this number asking for the first name that doesn't belong to anybody here.  The guy w/thick spanish accent immediately said he had the wrong number and wouldn't call back.  I've see this number on my caller ID before but no message, not usually home when they call.

These damn ppl called me once yesterday asked if I was available and told them i wasnt and wouldnt leave any other information with me to let me know the nature of this call they called me again today at 7:15am come on are you flippin kidding me that is way to early to be callin my damn cell phone and to also not be able to understand him is gettin on my nerves but I thank everyone for all the information not to give out my information to these ppl

I have a long standing policy of NEVER answering any of the 800/888 numbers.  Most are hangups immediately upon hearing the answering machine.  Just ignore them.  If you do answer and get a "collection" type call, inform that they need to send you a notice in writing and hang up.  If you don't receive anything you know it's a scam or worse yet, bottom feeders.  These outfits buy old accounts for  pennies on the dollar, which are just passed from one company to another.

Have any of you who say they claim to be Allied Interstate noticed that Allied Interstate's advertisement is listed at the top of this page.  Doesn't that seem just a little strange?

I took a call from 88-316-6088. The guy would not tell me the company name but said it was a collection company. I told him to remove my number. I have no outstanding bills. Unless you call a 30 year fixed loan on home. Which I paying monthly. The guy tried to tell me I have another bill outstanding with some company which I never heard of. I told him nice try and to go find another sucker somewhere else.

calls everyday for the past several weeks. have never answered..no messages

This "jack-ass" has been calling my home, and cell phone! He has a thick accent, trys to keep you online, said he was calling from Allied Interstate.....??? How in the H*ll is he getting our numbers? My numbers are on the do-not-call list and are brand new numbers! Look cussing him out, won't do any good, so I am reporting him? to the FTC....

They keep calling me at all times and dont talk i want this number not able to call me!
