- dontask replies to Maryunless you owe a debt, then listen to the calls lol
- dontask replies to the big dcall him if you want but once u come in contact with him more than 3 times within a 7 day period, they can pursue you with harrassment :) have fun
- dontask replies to Anonymgo ahead and do that all you want but they're going to request a date of death certificate if they cannot find the obituary themselves, other than that, it will be noted on the file that the person is possibly deceased and you will have trouble with other creditors
- Are You a Registered Troll? replies to dontaskLooks like the troll has registered now.
- dontask replies to 18883951147collection agencies (majority of the time, i'd say 99%) don't know who they're calling. they're required to call all the numbers on file. there's no names next to the numbers either. could be they just have the wrong number. sometimes you don't need the case number, they always provide their name and where they're calling from. if you ask for the name, you will easily be transferred to that person and take it from there. if its the wrong number simply say "i dont know this person that you're trying to reach, here's my phone number, i'd like it removed please" and they will do so.
- dontask replies to Kayla Audettethey probably wont take the clue because no ones answering the phone so they keep calling? once you tell them you don't know who it is, they'll leave you alone. however, telling them to remove your number on a random website isn't going to do anything. you'll have to call in and speak to someone who will actually be able to help you
- Sonia| 2 repliesThe keep calling and harassing us and everyone in my family. I'm so pissed
- Lolilol replies to Sonia| 1 replyThey're calling for a purpose. If they come in contact with 1 person more than 3 times in a 7 day period then it's harassment. If they're calling for the wrong person and you don't know them, let them know don't just ignore them because the calls will continue.
- collectorrrr replies to kennybigrigit's a canadian company though..
- collectorrrr replies to Facts| 1 reply2.Yes we call from different numbers because it's the automated system. If you call any of the numbers, it all goes to the same place. the 1-888 is just the toll free number to call.
3.I'm actually a collector and making contact only means with an actual PERSON. If we didn't come into contact with a real PERSON, we did not come into contact. An answering machine is not a real person, therefore it's not considered contact. But you're right on the max 3 contacts within a 7 day period.
4. Thank you, someone who understands. Under the protection laws, we aren't allowed to disclose anyone's personal information without verifying with them or speaking to them. and NO EVERYONE, your date of birth, address, phone number, FULL legal name AND credit bureaus are not considered personal information since everyone has access to it. Hense why we're able to locate majority of you.
5. We do not take legal action against you because you don't owe US money, you owe whoever you took it from in the first place (usually a bank). They just want their money back and we're the reinforcements they call in. When you sign a contract to get a credit card with the bank, it's in the fine print that no one reads, but it's there. We ARE allowed to contact you and demand the payment from you because WE ARE ALL LICENSED. Or else we're not allowed to even go near a phone. You can tell us to go "eff" ourselves, and in that case, we advise whoever you originally owed money to, that we don't have your co operation and we let them take control of the situation again. THEY can do what they want at that point.
6. This one I wont say anything because it is different in each province and if you really care, you can all look it up yourselves. However, even after you've filed bankruptcy or consumer proposal, once they're annulled, we can pursue you again. Because technically, you have a steady income, therefore, you can pay this off now. You're never excused for the rest of your life from this debt. If that was the case, EVERYONE would have tons of credit cards and not have to worry about paying anyone back. Am I right? There's laws and those laws need to be followed. - Don d| 9 repliesThey where calling me 6, 7 times a day untill the last time they called I told them I was busy cutting up a dead body lol never called back sence
- Codie replies to Dolma| 1 replyThey been calling me on behalf of TD they call me 4-5 times a day and it's always urgent or serious that needs my attention, my son is a kidney patient and they wanted me to send the money I had to eat while our stay in the hospital to them not caring how we ate after the fact.. - B-Edwards replies to Collector| 3 repliesShill Alert
Why let legal issues cloud the matter? 41 pages of posts documenting abuse and suddenly you show up to Shill?
If you are so legit "Collector", give us the name and full legal contact info including a physical address (not a mail drop) and tell us all about your upstanding company?
I'm betting you will refuse. I am betting you are just another blow-hard shill. - B-Edwards replies to Collector| 2 repliesCan it, Shill boy. I see you are just as suspected. AND, a "pay yor billz" Shill as well. Smug little crook, aren't you?
- DM1 replies to CollectorWhy did you come to a phone complaint website?
- Tygerkat replies to Collector| 3 repliesJust because you aren't allowed to do something doesn't mean you don't do it anyway. You're also supposed to mail proof of the debt within 5 business days of initial contact but I bet you don't do that, either.
