They called me a few times.  Asked me if I could phone them back for " important business matters", if i could contact mister x, with reference number. One month later they phoned me again, this time they asked for somebody else for the same reason "important business matters"  but then they asked for a different person.  I'm 100% shure I don't have any "important business matters" with them. If their number pops up, then my voicemail does the job.  Cheerio(!)

My wife just got a call from a man saying he's from the D & A Corporation.  Well, my credit is not that good and I just got out from bankruptcy and never got a loan or anything yet.  Although I thank you guys for posting this, what should I do to them?

I have gotten calls twice from this number, from someone who identifies herself as working for "B & A Collections" and wanting me to "pass a message on" to someone named Glynn Vandale.  I phoned the first time and left a message saying I didn't know this person and don't owe anyone any money so the call CAN'T be for me... but today I got another call, demanding that I return their call.  Demanding.  Jerks.  Anyway, I called back and got a human, who tried to blame this second call on her assistant after I complained that I now consider their calls harassment.  Not good enough, so I went online to find B & A Collections so I can get a mailing address to send a copy of the letter I will be sending the Better Business Bureau.  No such company, not by that name anyway, so I Googled the toll-free number and got this site.  Now I'm wondering if the woman was blabbering on about DNA collections... but hey, I'm nearly 60 years old and haven't any need for paternity testing at this point in my life.  The person I spoke to was certainly not abusive, but if it gets to that point the person who is unlucky enough to try to shove me around is going to get an earful.  Be stern and threaten a lawsuit.  And I'm going to call them back and do that right now...

Well, after going through the thread I now realise that the woman I spoke to this evening was being quite polite.  I appreciate all the information I've found; namely, that the president is Phil Morrison at Tel: 905-568-6860 and email: Phil.Morrison@DACollections.com... enough information to find that the company is at least legitimate and to get their mailing address, etc.  So, I've sent an email and will follow up with a written demand to their legal counsel that they remove my illegally obtained personal information from their file.  I think they will be reasonable once they realise that I do not owe them anything.

I got the call too.It was call from lady......say it is urgent to call them back....it is kind of collection call.I thiught it was some DNA testing something......my extension was 6207

Yes, I've been getting a call from D&A for someone else who works for us, I called back and left a message to say I passed on your message, so refrain from calling our company.  Well an hour same # called with the same Biotch leaving her snotty message.  So I called her back and said I left you a message already and to not call here, I could hardly get a word in, she wanted our fax # and I told her look it up in the phonebook and she freaked saying, "they have the right to know if this person is working here, yada yada yada", I just hung up before I would loose it and rip her to pieces, lol.

1. When calling your number, there is no such extension and your last name is required to get your directory!!!!

2. This is a business phone, there is no employee here by the name you are asking for. Do not call again or you will be reported to the appropriate authorities!!

Some one called from D & A Collection again today looking for someone who does not live here. Is there a way to prevent these people from calling? It has been going on for months even though the person who they are looking for does not live here.

I just activated my cell yesterday, after not using it for 2 years. Got a call from this 1888 number. WOW! My first phone call.
They were looking for my deceased mother to get in contact with my deceased brother about a  402.51 hydro bill that was not paid 3 years ago. (the only reason i got this information was because i was so shocked to hear someone ask for my mother, that I just said yes, I was her. And they didnt ask for any validation !! ) I handled both estates and the lawyer and I paid all outstanding bills in both their names during the probate period. Additionally, I have never received a notice from Hydro for outstanding amounts nor have a I received a phone call ever.
I am trying to figure out how they got ahold of me..... I am married and have not had the same last name as either of them for over 25 years.
Seems very odd and suspicious to me.

Repeated calls both fr0m a human and a machine twelling me there was an urgent matter concerning my finances. The recorded message claims to have tried to get a hold of me many times before through other methods. I am given extention # 6230 and a case #. The name on the answering machine is unintelligable but sounded like Harry Mulay.

All of my bills are paid and up o date so I know this is a fraud.

Calls 4 or 5 times a day. Phone displays as "Unknown Caller" with "Unknown Number", but occasionally leave a mesage to call this number back. They refuse to tell me who the alleged debt is for, and I've told them that in this day and age, someone would have to be a whole new level of stupid to discuss any kind of personal information with someone calling from a blocked or over seas number.

They refuse to quit calling, so now I simply don't answer unknown calls.

Got home to two messages - close family member rushed to hospital and D and A.  I do not have any outstanding bills, anywhere, and never have.  Can't get through to D and A.  Can't wait to get through.   If the time it took them to burn up time on my answering maching bumped a call from the hospital or family, I damned well will pursue this one...  CHECK YOUR INFORMATION before you make random calls to people...

Ah, I am thankful for this website, I recieved a call as well, from 'Debbie' from D and A - # 1866 802 8268... now I know never to return this call.

I had some guy call and say he was inquiring about the workplace safety insurance board, do they represent these guys too, anyone know?

I too got a call - dirty business, these guys... I reported them to the consumer board.  They called another person to get my number, saying they were calling on behalf of the government regarding an important document and then left a vague (eg, no identifying comments) and extremely threatening voicemail message.  I have sent a complaint to their head office as well, and won't be answering any calls.

They called someone else with the same last name and started detailed my info to this person even though they were repeatedly told that they had the wrong person. The guy they gave all my personal background on was a coworker of an old freind of mine. This is how i came to find out this infomation.
D&A Collections are breaking the law by doing what they did with my personal information. I am working on filing a greivance with the local athorities. I want this woman fired. Her extension@ 888-395-1147 X6235 if there is someone out there who has had the same thing happen.
