- KyrosI never use my cell for any credit card or buying anything, but I do have Direct TV and AT&T and when I pay my cell bill online I always get a message on the cell stating I paid. This is not a number I give out. Actually I don't even use the cell phone much. I don't answer numbers that I don't know. Thanks, everyone, for all the information that you provide! Happy Holidays!

12/13/18 cell - MikeHuntleton replies to jomama
Who are "you guys" supposed to be, people who don't know who actually called and have no useful information about their caller? Or do you just want to see an increase of complaints so you have something better to use for your personal gains of suing small timer law suits?Quote:You guys did report it to the FCC right? - Cousin JuanReceived several calls over the last week from this 800 number they never leave a message. In reading some of the remarks that people have loved it's nothing but a scam operation. do as I do if you don't recognize the number let it go into voicemail if it's the jet the leave a message.

- MichaelDecember 18, 2018, 10:58 PM - missed female credit card robocall from 888-397-3742, Unavailable.
Previous call: My log shows one previous call from 888-397-3742 on October 30, 2018 that said:
"This is your final courtesy call before we are unable to lower your credit card interest rate. Press 1 to speak to the member services department, or press 2 and your eligibility to lower your rate will expire."
I also got a missed/no message call just yesterday from the same 888-397-3742 to my other phone line.
888-397-3742 is a real number of Experian.- Caller: ??????????
- Call type: Telemarketer
- xxxxxxxxxxxxxScam. Asked to enter my complete 9 digit social security number so they could verify and look up my records. Told caller to remove number from list, he replied NO and hung up.
- Caller: 'your' credit card company
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- JDKosterI just happened to answer my cell phone by accident. The person on the other end was "James" from Credit Member Service. He has a very heavy Middle Eastern accent. He claims that he can lower my interest rate on my Master/Visa cards. I told him I "don't" have any credit cards. He then said not even American Express or Discovery Cards? I told nothing. I pay with cash. I then turn the table on him saying, how and why are you calling my phone when I don't have any credit cards? He could not answer me and hung up!
SCAMMERS!!!- Caller: SCAMMERS!!!!

- NoOneHomeReceived a call just after 6AM this morning. Called the number and a recording said they were Expirian and requested my SSN. Of course I gave them my 13 digit SSN, oh wait a moment, I made a mistake. No way to contact a real person, could it be a scam???? If it wasn't for telemarketers and scam artists I wouldn't get any calls at all. Not.

Try again, they have been steadily getting worse each year. The Gov shut down has not made any impact on the call amount, if thats where you were trying to go with that sentence.Quote:Robos are out of control since New Years
Scammers out number any law enforcement, but consumers out number the scammers. So you can see its not going to help by simply complaining "nobody is doing anything" when we can do a variety of things!Quote:..........doing doodly squat about it.
Sharing information about these callers is the foundation of this site, so share instead of crying about nobody is helping. - BelJust got a call from this number. I didn't answer it and no message was left. I called it back, got an automated message saying it was Experian, and was asked for my SS#. NOT HAPPENING! Since there was no option to talk to a person, I hung up and added it to my spam numbers.
- Caller: Experian
- JACK| 1 replyWarning! Even though this number is real, the fraud dept of Experion, this caller claiming to get you better credit card rates is "FRAUDLENT". The scammer wants your info to clone you. Experion is not in the credit card business, it is a credit rating service. If you redial the number you will actually get the real bureau and think all is good. NOT GOOD. They wont know a thing about the call and just ask for your SS number. I got two calls in 5 minutes on two different phones with two different peoples names. FAKE/FRAUD/DONT BITE. I suspect this is a re vamp of the fake Credit Card services calls that use the same morphing technology. Then when you call back you get the real place who knows nothing about the call because they never called you. The hook is only good on the initial call. This keeps you guessing and makes then seem real. NOT!!
Caller: FAKE CALL CREDIT CARD- Caller: fake
