- aClaims to be AT&T... but caller id says "Toll Free Call".
ATT is smart enough to be able to program their phone switch to say AT&T.- Caller: Claim to be ATT
- Call type: Telemarketer
- POThey have been calling every night lately, but never leave a message. Very annoying. I hope they get shut down soon!
- JaimeWhy does AT&T allow this to happen? Sure, it has a bad reputation for junky cell phone service and its Uverse is horrible -- but these repeated robot calls just [***] people. No one wants anything to do with AT&T. Just GO AWAY!

- nkaCheck this out: Thirty (30!!!!!) seconds after my phone line became "active", I began to get these auto-dialed (aka phishing SCAMMER) phone calls. I am not kidding about the time in which this happened. I had to have an tech come into my apartment to rewire (because previous tenants had cable) a seemingly 'dead' line. He was still HERE when the first phishing call came in. I had four more within the next three hours.
If you have Caller ID (land or cellular) and you do NOT recognize these FAKE (for they ARE fake) 800/866/877/888 numbers, don't answer the phone. These scammers are looking for 'live lines'; when you answer the phone, it only encourages the calls until live humans are on the phone. DON'T CALL THE NUMBER on the Caller ID! It's designed to "back-charge" your account for fraudulent long distance/international calls.
These calls are cyclical. Another hint- don't be fooled by the "made up names" -if you don't know the name, don't call the number.- Caller: unknown
- ssgot it again @ 1:40 cst - am on no caller list, also
- Caller: toll free call
- Seasider18Called at 19:00 I did not speak, they did not speak, then hung up after about 20 Seconds. This is obviously AT&T, we have their service for the basic phone, Their Call Blocking Number is *60 When you try to block this number using their instructions you get a message saying that "This number is not available for this service." I think that I need to contact the FCC again, this sounds like unfair business practices to me.
