- Katie K.Indian accent guy calling himself "Nick," calls my elderly Mom and keeps her on phone for an hour - I live an hour away, and got suspicious when her phone was busy for so long, so Skyped her, and got to see her kind of helplessly (dementia) trying to TALK with this guy... another stroke of luck, a neighbor came into Mom's house and talked with "Nick," who was evidently angry. Mom said he'd told her hackers had gotten into her computer, and she actually remembered the amount of $269 as what it would cost her for them to fix it! And, he called again the next night. This is so sad, and we have no idea what to do about it! Jerks.

- Laurie Bisel| 1 replyThe last call I received was from Dan of ESupport Live. He had a heavy Indian accent and claimed I had computer viruses. I could hardly understand him. This is the sixth time I have received a call from them even though I asked them to take me off of their call list and that I am not interested. They call two to three times a day and have since July 3rd.

- Laurie Bisel replies to Laurie BiselI went to the no call website and reported ESupport Live as I am on the no call list.
- Shelly ThompsonTotal scam...just got me. Said they were from Microsoft. Google about it and was instructed to change all my paso codes and accounts and call police. Police said they only get involved if money changed hands, which thankfully I did not do.
Police said we should report this to

- JACOBI got a similar call today at about 1.15pm Eastern warning me that my computer had been hacked and was certain to crash on Monday morning. He implied he was an agency for Microsoft but I got no other validation of his bona fides. The staff person went through yards and yards of files that he said, in a strong Indian accent, were corrupted.
I did not fall for his $299 fee to avoid the inevitable crash. But now I cannot open up any of the software I use every day. IF YOU GET 888-514-1650 DON'T ANSWER.

Obviously some sort of hacker.
A nice site. I will add you to my favorites list. - mmReceived a call from a man with a heavy Indian accent saying he was contracted to do windows technical support and that my computer was heavily infected and that windows cannot do its updates because of infections from being online. When I told him I didn't trust this call, that he could be scamming me he gave me 888-514-1650 as his company # and I could call it back to verify he's legit. I looked it up as he was talking and found this webpage. Hung up on him.

- SookGot a call about my computer and I was having some blue crash dump errors. This company is NOT associated with Microsoft. They will ask to remote and obtain access to your PC. DO NOT grant them access to your PC and do not pay the $260 license fee they claim will help fix your computer. They also referenced another number of 1-888-366-7293 to verify.

- Tamianth replies to desposyni| 1 replyConsider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

E-mail: econsumerwb@ftc.gov - Stephen WallerAfter having my leg amputated, I was on very heavy duty pain medication. I did buy in, being totally out of my mind & I cancelled the next day. After double billing the $269, they did give me a refund. Yet they still call once a month, will not give their USA address (company policy !!) & they had all of my information. Within two days of their phone call to me (I told them I was not a customer) but they have sent viruses to me & all of my contacts. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY that says they are the sole Microsoft fixer-upper. Liars, cheaters & scam artists all with an India accent.

- KLMy dad got scammed by this company. They "know" that the computer is not running right and then charged him $169 to fix it and keep it running. They claimed that they were Microsoft when they called.
