    CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure. CPAP delivers air into your airway through a specially designed nasal mask or pillows. The mask does not breathe for you; the flow of air creates enough pressure when you inhale to keep your airway open. CPAP is considered the most effective nonsurgical treatment for the alleviation of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.

    The only reason I know this is because I am a customer of Lincare although it doesn't show up on my caller ID.  I have only received two calls from them.  The first one was regarding customer survey after meeting and picking up my CPAP and the other was that I am due for refills to replenish my supplies.  

    I have no clue as to why anyone else would contact you unless the info was received from either your doctor's office or at the sleep lab or hospital.

    Thanks for the info on Lincare.  I have a Bi-PAP machine, but did not answer the call as the caller ID said unavailable.  In my opinion, any honest business should identify themselves on the Caller ID.  I have received 2 calls today, but they left no message.

    They are definitely Lincare and handle CPAP/Bi-PAP.  The Caller ID states unavailable.  I spoke to a representative who called.  She told me that they are aware that the Caller ID states unavailable, but they have no control over it.  According to her, it is the phone companies fault as they are the ones who control what is on the Caller ID.  Whether this is true or not, I don't know.  However, this is what she told me.

    that's a auto-dialer for the Lincare SOBs. you're probably a "valued customer" and they are trying desperately to contact you - and pad their insurance-billing scam, O - i mean offer you some VERY valuable service a/o supplies to the item of theirs that you have. complain to them irt this weak ploy and you'll be sure to get MORE phone calls (now that they've confirmed your number, and you've got an established relationship) from them. enjoy...r2

    I don't answer these type of calls that come up on caller ID "800 toll free service" because they are always someone that you don't want to talk to, generally a telemarketer.

    There usual thing is to say "we are calling to update our records and see what supplies we can send to you today".  I consider it to be nothing more than a telemarketing ploy to get you to buy their merchandise.  In the past, I have told them to NOT call me for that sort of thing and if I want or need anything from them, I have their number and will certainly call them.

    As the economy gets worse, you can always tell who is suffering the most by the calls that you receive.  My guess is their sales manager probably told them to "work the accounts" to raise revenue levels.  They do not understand that it is annoying and apparently don't seem to care because they call frequently and NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE.

    I received just one call from this number and another from 866-849-2343. I "was" a client for Lincare but, I was sent the wrong supplies even after speaking with and arranging for a change in mask with the specialist. I then continued to receive the wrong supplies and was overcharged at one time. I have since decided to go with another company. If this is Lincare and are not leaving a message, the decision I made was the correct one. This most definitely is not best business practices and an unprofessional manner of "retaining" or acquiring customers.

    I too receive service from Lincare as I have oxygen and a CPAP. They call me on this number to see if I am ready to receive my supplies. I do not know why they would be calling everyone else who does not need their services.

    Lincare calling to get me to buy more stuff I don't need yet.  Doctors say replace equipt & peripherals only when it wears out (could be 6 - 12 months, Lincare says every 30 days.  
    And they never leave a message.  ARGH!

    Someone from this tel.# repeatedly called my residence telephone and left no msg. over a 3 month period. Finally I called the # and spoke with a b/f rep. of CPAP Supplys and asked to have my # removed. She advised she was calling for a Donna Peel, whom I never heard of. The rep. was a little snotty about it.

    I keep getting phone calles from this same number. this is the third day in a row that they have called me. This number shows up as toll free on my caller id. When they called for the third time i answered and someone was actually on the other end. Some lady named Joanne she claimes to be from lin care, but when i asked... " how i do know this is lincare, she got kinda hostile and defensive.

    LinCare has a pretty good scam calling every month to sell CPAP supplies that get billed to my insurance. I added the number to my local contacts list so LinCare shows up in caller ID regardless. That way I know not to take the call...

    I have received a call from this number.  I understand it is the Lincare Call Center.  They alledgedly want to provide CPAP supplies to me.  I don't know why, because I've had my CPAP for 4 years and have had exactly one face mask replacement.  I have "permanent" filters-just wash them out.  After one of these calls, they sent me a replacement pad for my face mask-but it wouldn't fit my mask.  Also included two fabric filters, also wrong for my needs.
    My local Lincare dealer was not aware of the call, but said they do have a Call Center.  She took back the items and ordered the correct parts.
