- Kathi replies to BDB| 2 repliesDoctors told me the same thing, when it wears out. Hoses are every 6 months, filters are every month, mask cushions loose there sealing ability and needs replaced sooner then the appearance of the mask. They still look new but they don't fit as good as they did when they were new. It needs changed sooner then the doctors say. Your breath causes condensation in the mask while you are sleeping, the moisture causes bacteria and mold. If you don't change them out as per recommended you are exposing/breathing mold and bacteria. Just cause it looks good/new doesn't mean it is.
Thank you for the heads up. I just got a call from this number and wasn't sure who it was since they didn't leave a message. Now that I know this number is lincare I will answer it. They do not call you unless at some point in time you told a lincare rep that you were interested in a maintenance by mail plan. They call you when supplies are required to be replaced and they do this free as a service to their customers. If you don't want them to keep calling you then go to your local lincare office and explain to them you don't want those calls any more. The quote "ignore it, it will go away" is not always true.
Thanks for this link, now I know who this number belongs to. Also do to the hepa law they have to have a private number. - Kathi replies to Daniel Moore| 1 replyIt is not a scam. At one point or another someone with that phone number signed up for supplies by mail. Answer it and politely explain they have a wrong number and to remove your number. They will. They do not call unless someone asked them to.
- badboyandy replies to KathiThanks for the good info.
However in regards to mold and mildew. In case you are not aware the CPAP booklet gives instructions for cleaning and rinsing out the masks and tubing.
I did not know about that until I found time to look the booklet over.
It also tells you how to inspect your mask tubing and water containers.
Again thanks for your inputs. - ex-Lincare replies to KathiYou are incorrect. I have talked to them about supplies on my account that they have not provided. And they STILL call. I have my caller ID set to LINCAR SCAM so everyone here knows to ignore it. And, as others have noted... they are one of the most rudest customer service I've dealt with.

Washington, DC 20026 - DrillbitI use Lincare CPAP as well. In the past, they have left messages, but not today. They called twice, one right after the other. It would be nice if they would set their phones up to display the company name on caller ID. They are ligitimate calls, and not telemarketers. But since I haven't memorized the number, I don't answer. Why take a chance? A previous commentor talked like they are trying to sell you something you don't need. I don't know about that. They recommend that you clean the hoses and nose pieces once a week with vinegar water, and once a month replacement of worn accessories. There have been a couple of times that I have said I don't need anything. They accept that, and don't tried to pressure me into buying something I don't need.
- Pissed replies to Report ThemScumbags, scumbags, scumbags! Those [***] almost cost me my life! Their only purpose in the world is to screw over you and your insurance company. In my situation they were and are in cahoots with a so called sleep doctor… beware!!!!!!!!! Please do your research! Turns out the doctor that had my life in his hands does not know dick about sleep apnea! Long, long story but I assure you the doctor in my area and Linscum where in bed together to make a dollar and to hell with the customer! When my family became afraid for my life they helped double check what these punks were doing and found that the supplies they were renting, selling, etc were so old, so out dated… and when we check around our community we found person after people that have been thru hell and back because of the same doctor and Linscum! If you or someone you know has any dealing with these people RUN don’t walk, RUN THE HELL away from these evil people while you still can!!!!!!

- WiltonThis number is a legitimate number for people wanting C-PAP Supplies pertaining to Sleep Apnea, of which we use for my wife. If yoy get calls suggest you if not a user ask them to remove your number. You should not have any problem
- Caller: C-Pap medical supplies
- Demdawgs| 1 replyIt's Lincare really don't care. They left me a notice one time telling me that if they come to my home and I'm not there I would be charged. I am rarely 10 miles from home and they have 5 numbers that can reach me. I went ballistic on them and told them if you call before you come I will be there. So far.........It's still the same. BTW. I have heard that Meds for home are owned by Lincare but they are awesome and do care. I don't answer unknown callers. Especially no message left in voice mail.
- Caller: Lincare don't care
- RemyIt's probably Lincare, we do get supplies from them, but today I have answered this number twice and no one was there. Extreme annoyance.

- MacJust started calling the other day. they call 3-4 times a day. no message no nothing. we let the ans machine get all 8??#s
- Caller: unknown
- RockhammerThey are Lincare. We received our CPAP machine from Lincare. They call occasionally to see if we need additional supplies. There are some components that should be replaced periodically. Nose pieces, hoses, and air filters. I don't think it it an insurance scam. However, they seem to call more often than necessary for supplies raplacement. I take it as being a good service to keep your supplies up to date. However, it is sometimes annoying. They are not identified on caller ID, but they usually leave a voicemail, and I can return the call if I need supplies.
- Customer, sort ofwe get supplies from Lincare but never from this number. When I answered the first time I couldn't hear the gentleman and asked if he could repeat it and he was very rude and said very loud "Lincare" and I hung up. Tonight same thing only it sounded like a robot automated voice muffled. I hung up. I will call our personal rep tomorrow and see what's up. Sounds bad to me.
- Caller: Says Lincare
- Laura replies to PeteThanks - THAT was helpful info!

If your doctor recomends a machine from this company, or supplies from this company GET A NEW DOCTOR. they have been sued many times and are little more than a scam... the "sleep apnia" doctors will give you meds that make it hard to breathe and then recomend a cpap machine to help your breathing.
My wife had their cpap machine for over a year, I WOULD LOVED TO HAVE GOTTEN A CALL FROM THEM WHEN SOMEONE WAS HOME. I constantly got either a message on my machine or an automated message type call. It would say "are you joanne?" if yes press 1 if not please get that person then while I would get her they would hang up. finally I pressed "1" to get a person, guess what THEY STILL HUNG UP. A recorded message would give a number to call I NEVER GOT A LIVE PERSON TTHERE AND NO ONE EVER RETURNED MY CALLS WHEN SOMEONE WAS HOME. My wife spent a year with a machine without any service.. no new "pillows" no service no breathing treatments no follow up of any kind. In the meantime billing our insurance an outrageous amount and us over $500.00. Now they are billing us for a machine that I had to HAND CARRY TO THEIR OFFICE, BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET AN ASWER FROM THEM TO PICK IT UP FOR OVER 6 MONTHS.- Caller: LINCARE
