They're calling for my husband's ex wife and asking for her by her new married name.  They have been divorced for 9 years.

someone tell me what a debt collecter is....i'm a curious kid that ALWAYS wants to know who calls me. will someone explain what a debt is.... what a debt collecter is.... how does R.M.S ( recovery services ) get my cell number if im on the do not call list...i hate these people. im smart enough to know that they just r trying to steal my $. I have no debts,  not from 30 years ago even.   When they call me,  I have every right to be angry,  so stop talking to us like we are children.

They call looking for someone that is not at this number.

Yet another number to the No Call List.

They just left a message saying it was an important message for "[no name given]."  I have nothing past due, and I don't know who the unnamed person they are looking for is, so I have absolutely NO intention of calling them back.

This is the only number that makes it thru my caller id block! They called today,AGAIN, and finally left a message for me and 'my husband'. Except that we are not married and have never jointly paid bills together. The only time our names have been together is on our car insurance, as Rinaldo P. and Tootsie Boscov. We laughed about that.But I am not laughing now, I am not married, do not have any debt with Rinny and certainly do not need to be harrassed by DEBT COLLECTORS!!!!

I just got a call and a voicemail from this number. They were looking for a "Sarah Powers" - um, hello? My name is Nicole. I deleted the message without continuing to listen because they said continuing to listen to the message means you're acknowledging that you are that person.

They call looking for my daughter.  I told them the first time to take my number off there list but I guess they didn't.

We are on no call list.

Who isn't?  The DNC is there for Telemarketers.  Telemarketer is A business that markets or sells its product or services by means of the telephone.  Every unwelcomed call is not a telemarketer.  Others who may be violating the law comes under the FCCs or FTC.

Other people have  used my phone number with their name when applying for credit, when it times to collect they only have the number. I have had good results in calling and telling them there isn't anyone here by that name and it stops until someone else uses it.

I got a call from RMS about a collection for an isurance agency that never heard of them and didn't know what they were talking about and gave a bogus claim number that they never had.
