- Mrs. JI keep getting calls from 888-545-4170 asking for ________ (never a name mentioned) and if you are not Mr. or Mrs. ________ (again, no name mentioned), please hang up. If you listen to this message, you acknowledge that you are that person...
When I answer these calls, I hang up because I am NOT ______ (blank name) but my answering machine picked up the full message and it advised that the call is from Patricia at RMS and is in regard to "bill collection". The robo call then gives a callback number for Patricia as 1-855-222-5483.
Mine is a relatively new phone number and since they never mention by NAME who they are actually attempting to reach, my guess is it is an attempt to get a call back but for what I do not know but since I have no outstanding bills in collection, I won't be bothered!- Caller: UNKNOWN

- will not pay| 1 replyI received a letter today at my address for someone that no longer lives in my household (retired to Heaven). Without opening the letter I went on-line to access the company and then in the window of the envelope could make out the telephone number and called to let them know that status of the addressee. I spoke with Donna Shields who identified herself as a bill collector and any information given can and would be used to collect this debt. She HAD to have the account number, I told her that this information was enclosed in a sealed envelope and was not addressed to me, therefore I was not to open someone else's mail. She advised me to open it and give her the information even though she had said she could access it with the name and address, which I had given her. She them demanded an acount number before she could assist me. When I advised her that she was requesting me to break Federal law by opening someone else's mail, she said to do it anyway. Does this make her a party to illegal activities? She did have trouble understanding me because of my accent. I told her " I AM AN AMERICAN AND SPEAK ENGLISH!!" so I know she would not be able to understand my second language (East Tennessee). If the company needs aditional information they will have to either come to my front door and speak to me through the door or meet in probate court and prove there is an outstanding debt, which will have to be done very soon before the estate is settled. Since she was perfectly useless at this point I concluded the call.
All our financial obligation have ALWAYS been taken either by check, credit card of debit of our checking account. And I have approximately fifty (50) years records to prove this. So what is the chance of any debt being overlooked?
Since this incident started with the mail service and then with me calling her, I don't think this could actually be considered a call on her part, but I will block her number from my telephone so that I do not have to deal with her and her horrible sinus problem (snotty as hell).- Caller: RMS
- curious replies to zoewhat is the statue of limitation? We have no knowledge of any outstanding debt.
- notgiven replies to will not payThe executor of the estate can open the mail. If that is not you, then give it to them.
- Watchdog replies to R M RodeContact FTC.gov and lodge a formal complaint about the company. Predatory collectors like these should be under federal investigation. Consumers unite!

- AnnoyedThese people keep calling, but don't leave a message. I finally called them back and some woman answered. I asked why they were calling and she asked for my phone number. Next thing I know she says she can't find any information for my phone number and I said... well then why do you keep calling me. She said it might be a mistake and then said goodbye and hung up.

- LaurenI received a call from this collections company, it comes across as "Anonymous" and "Private Number". It was a man in India who was obviously at a call center. They asked for the owner or accounts payable manger of the company and when I asked what it was regarding they said it was a private manner.

- G. MartinI have no idea who these jerks are, but I have reported them to my phone company and the FCC. I have had the number blocked and they just call using another number...... Isn't there a law about using the phone for harassment?????????
- B. WhiteThese idiots have now called 4 times and left a message saying they are trying to collect a debt. The don't ask for anyone by name and they don't identify the debt or to whom the debt is owed. I have never been behind on any debts and have received no letters from anyone saying I owe anything. I figure if it's legit, someone will ask for me my name or send me a letter. But from what I read here, contacting them doesn't do any good and it changes the rules of engagement to their advantage. Sorry, idiots. If you really know who I am, there are other, more legitimate, more credible ways to contact me. $$%^ off!
- Caller: They say RMs but I doubt it

- NOTMyDebtI am getting a rash of calls from them. It is apparently for my ex-husband and or his wife. We divorced in 1997 AND I live in another state. WHY are they calling me about THEIR debt?
- Hello! When you going to wake up?The only way you are going to stop this BS is to go after the phone company they have their phone thru!
Give your Congress Person Hell to pass a law that "the phone company" should be fined 1 Thousand dollars say for allowing these people to harasses you. Elections are getting ready to come up and if they don't pass a law against this BEFORE ELECTIONS, throw the BUMS out of office. They are only there for the money anyway--at least most of them but this is the only way you will be able to stop this BS. GO AFTER THE PHONE COMPANY after they say get 2 complaints That should stop them. Then in a couple of years have the fine raised to $10,000.00 per call. Last time I checked with the gov about calls like this they said they were running over a year behind in checking them. And they use an LLC so you can't get the person, just the broke company and they laugh at you all the way to the bank every day! Governments ALL fail. Now it is time to break up AT&T again like they did years ago and the service got better but they are back together again so you need to go after the phone companies and make them pay for this harassment. IN MY CASE, IT WAS A WRONG NUMBER. The old man.- Call type: Debt collector
- shelleyReceived a ltr saying I owe money on my RX plan I cancelled over a yr ago. I do not owe any past due premiums. This is a scam. There is an RMS company in FL and this scam co is using their name. I checked out their phone number and found this site. Do not fall for this scam. Do not be a target.
- Deb DTwo messages not addressed to anyone in particular were left on my machine with a reference number and regarding "the Hartford." I called the number and provided the reference number, they asked my name and I asked who they were trying to reach at my number? They stated they could not give me any information (scam indicator) IF- this was a legitimate company they would ask for a specific person and could discuss with that person. I told them if they don't know who they are calling for, they should not call, since this is my number and hung up. Hoping they will mark my number as someone that won't be duped and not to waste their time. Never give any personal info on the phone unless you call a number you know (like on a bill or the back of your credit card.
