I just got a call last night from 888-673-4109 with the same msg
I am actively looking for a job and my Resume is Public to Employers on Monster.  A Recruiter from a company called Epic in Madison, WI sent me an automated email about a position.  So I applied.  I am not 100% sure, but I am guessing that the phone calls is from that company.  I am thinking about calling back but not sure.

I called this number and yes it staites this is a lifetime oppertunity.  Then askes for your zip code. I entered in about 5 different zip codes located in the NRV.  Gave zip code 24382 Then got directed to recruting service in Johnston City Tenn.   No one ever picks up then requests you to leave your information on a voice mail.   I did not leave any information I called the authorities to investigate this and requested a responce from them.  I will find out who this is.

Please call the Federal Trade Commission at (877) 382-4357 about this they will have to have multiple complaints from individuals about this before they will investigate this issue.

We will have to stand together as a society to get this one figured out.

I also got a message to call 1-866-832-2363.  Any professional company would NOT leave an automated message such as this one.  I will not be calling this number and I suggest no one else does either.

If that number 888-673-4109 charges me a fee, then it's traceable, and someone is going to be in hot water soon.

I live in Northern VA and received a voicemail from this 888 number.  I typed in my zip code, heard/wrote down the address that's supposed to correspond with my zip code.
I drove to the address given, using my GPS...the address didn't exist.  There was a street given is a dead end street.

This call/recorded message is a scam.

Definitely a scam. What legitimate company would call you about a job offer and not give the company's name? I'm pretty sure it is from posting a resume online to websites like CareerBuilder or Monster who then sell your information to third parties- not all of which are honest or legitimate. Disappointing!

I also got an automated recording to call for an interview. It says it got my resume from Career Builder. I even cancelled my resume on Career Builder and am still getting a bunch of scam calls. they are giving my resume out to all calls of weidos. I did not get one legitimate offer from Career Builder, nothing that mathced my resume.

3/8/2010:  More of the same.  It sickens me that some company is preying on job seekers like this.  Not only is a waste of cell minutes but then the search on the 888 number and leaving a post!  All time consuming but important to leave a trail for others!  On top of that, now I am more skeptical than ever and feel the need to dig into every caller and e-mail - HUGE waste of time but I can't help it now!

I received a call from 972-200-9825 at 6:03pm for the same as last note, they reviewed my resume and want me to call another number to schedule an interview this week.  The number was 888-673-4109 also an automated number with no info on what the position is or what company it is.  Due to my zip code they did mention a possible location for office.  That was the only information I received.  I do believe the company got my number from career builder because prior to me signing up to that site, I never received any calls or emails for insurance seminars.  So thanks for all the info, I will be more aware now on this job search.

I don't give my cel # to anyone except close friends and for interviews. I think my number might have been harvested from a job site, since they mentioned resumes. I am very suspicious of anything that is a generic "we have received your resume" since I know people try to sell job seekers dubious services. Especially when they don't mention anything about what job. This is a very generic bot-message.

I notice this site doesn't have a category for "job interview" on "Call Type," but I predict this will be the next new category.

I too have recieved a n automated call from 888-673-4109 stating that they have reviewed my resume and would like me to call "them" to set up an interview. I have also recieved quite a few emails from insurance companies wanting to interview me.  I did send a resume for a legit job on career builder a couple of weeks ago.  Now, I am getting these calls.  I would suggest, if you have a cell phone with call blocking technology, you can use that feature to block these calls.  If you don't have call block, you can  still configure your cell to send the call back to them.

Best regards to anyone still trying to find a legit job...

    Chris
