- VancouverI signed up for a free iPad Globe & Mail app, and they IMMEDIATELY placed me on their robo call distribution list. I deletd the iPad app but now they have my phone number. I wonder if it will ever end.
- AlexThey call every day at the same time (well, they don't call - their COMPUTER calls). I'm just continuing to ignore it. Eventually they'll go away. Call display is my friend. And so is voicemail because 9 times out of 10 their systems are programmed to hang up if the voice mail kicks in.

- Nick| 2 repliesI was plagued by these calls. So I recently purchased a Panasonic phone that will block the numbers that I input into the phone and my troubles seem to be over. They are stopped cold. I selected the numbers to block from this website. thank you

- AlEvery day, same call, and Telus' call screen service is useless because it's an 888 number. Sigh. Eventually they'll give up.
- tranquility| 1 replyI just received an unsolicited call from this number. No identification. I once went ballistic at least every second day until I finally built myself a Caller ID box and designed it to work exactly the way I wanted. Now the phone only connects to the line (and rings) if the number matches a programmed list. In Province numbers are answered by the answering machine after the fourth ring cycle and all other numbers are dumped by a 3 second quiet termination after the third ring cycle. Blocking calls from selected numbers is useless, and machines and Telco's that offer that as a solution are actually just a part of the problem. There are millions of potential scam numbers. You can not know what the next one will be and block it without being disturbed first! The National Do Not Call List is also a joke.
I haven't been disturbed by a single unknown caller or had to swear at anyone for almost a year now. It's been great. - MidtownAm in Toronto. Immediately knew this was another bull call, so did not answer. Disconnected with no msg.

- GolferBill| 1 replyThis is a telemarketing company. I called the number back and was prompted to press #1, to have our number removed from their list. Hope it works.....but maybe I just subscribed to a new batch of telemarketers...such a waste of time.

- John| 1 replyWe purchased a single Panasonic portable phone with Call Blocking about 1 yr ago. It is GREAT. You can easily save the number from these calls and the next time they call they are automatically blocked after one (yes one) ring (I do not know if they get a "number disconnect tone" or not). This has dropped the number of calls to virtually 0 (zero). The only limitation is you can only save 30 numbers. Once we exceed that number we delete the oldest ones.
We have also alerted bonfide people (e.g Big Brothers, Diabetes, etc) that will will no longer accept calls without caller ID identifying their organization. If we do not recognize the phone number we will add them to our Blocked List. Sad it has come to this.
Other have recommended this approach and we can confirm it works! - Mayor McCheeseAnswered this call and was abruptly hung up on. Called the number back, but didn't press 1. Got an alternate call back number for this telemarketing company. Pleasant lady there suggested it was probably the automated dialer for the Globe & Mail. She offered to remove my number from their list.

- Stopcallingme!Comcast is the company. If you call back and enter your 10 digit number after selecting 'remove' from the option, I wonder if it works. I just called and tried, but I also added them to my block list so I won't have to deal with them again. They keep calling and calling.
