went to their their DNC page seemed to work, we'll see - already getting tons of unwanted calls, so if they are harvesting tel #'s the junk call volume will go up soon.

or just blast them with a #4 dial-tone, they hang-up after 10 seconds, keep doing this eventually they move on.

Just got another call from this number (I'm in Edmonton). All times of day, every day. Never answer

Representative from COMTEL, wanting me to subscribe to "THE GLOBE AND MAIL" daily newspaper, at a promotional price.  When I said "no", he offered me just their Saturday edition, for 5 Saturdays in October, at a promotional price.

The representative was totally polite, and respectful of my responses.
Sigh. Such "cold-calling" is a tough job -- barely better than being on Employment Insurance.

These are some of the same idiots that just mindlessly dial through the national do not call list, when you phone back to get them to stop calling, they just use a different number the next time. Something needs to be done to stop this sort of thing as continuous harassing calls are an invasion.

This number called again this morning and cannot be blocked by Bell's screening service.

Numerous calls from this number, blocked on my phone.

They called twice before 11 a.m. already today never pick up ph#'s I don't recognize. I think ph companies are largely to blame selling lists to earn extra $'s. These idiots can't get jobs in any other field so resort to working for telemarketing  companies that pay nothing & they continue to harass people well good luck at earning nothing !!

If you think calling them to have your number removed will be effective, you are in for a surprise - they will just start calling twice as often.

I have received several calls from 888-682-0070!!! The display comes up UNKNOWN NAME and they never leave a message! I will try calling back and pressing 1 to get rid of them to see if that works. I wish there was a way to report repeated unwanted calls. Another unwanted call  I had yesterday was from a number in the display that seems to have too many numbers! 22455201605?!! Again, no message.

Received another call from 888-682-0070 October 24, 2015 at 11:23 a.m. I answered it and I actually got a man who said he was from the Globe and Mail newspaper! When I told him I was on the dot not call list, he said newspapers are exempt!!  I told him to remove my phone number from his calling list. I will let you know if I get another call from them. Why doesn't the phone display say "GLOBE and MAIL" if it is legitimate marketing call!!???

Number keeps calling.  Annoying don't leave messages.  If it was important, I'm sure they'd leave a message.
We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST yet get mega calls from 800 numbers.  This is becoming a real pain!

they are hoping you do not report them, is why they pose as a news paper, it is a scam, they are doing there best to get your personal info, so they can steal your ID, and or get credit cards made in your name for them to use, but you pay the bill, if you go through the pages of these logs you will see that asking to be put on the do not call list does not work, SCAM SCAM SCAM, THEY will now know your number is a active number, and up for sale to other scammers to scam you again and again.....

these scammers are able to hide behind, any phone number, they have even gone as far as to use my number to call me, my own number show up on the display, lol, no, was not a pocket dial, phone was off, only when phone is on and placed in the pocket is when that happens, it is great to have a smart phone with the ability, to block these scammers, how they are able to hide behind numbers that are the one they are calling from is a good question to ask the CRTC!, im sure it is illegal,

That is just their way of acquiring phone #'s they can use.  I have done the same in the past, & sure as sh#*, I have seen my phone # come up on the call display.  Just ignore or block it if you can.
