This company is VERY pushy - we called just asking for more information. They gave us some information, in a very rushed manner but made sure to take time to explain why we should pay now. The rep even went as far to say "well, i'm going on lunch, so if we could resolve this before then..." Serious...? I also made sure to call from a work phone. They were very adamant about getting a contact phone number even when we blatantly said "no".

We should all file a complaint with BBB. I looked briefly on the site, and it looks like they'd prefer to close all accounts that make a complaint so that they can get that BBB Accredited rating. We filed a complaint - let's see what happens!

corporationwiki.com has LOTS of good info on companies...for FREE.  I found the site invaluable a few years ago when some FL "debt collection" SCAMMERS were running wild.  Last time I checked, they shut down (or got shut down)!!

By the way, the BBB gives out ratings based on responses from the business to the complaints and not based on the number of complaints.  As long as they respond to every complaint, they are making a "good faith effort" and it bumps them up some.

Thanks, BigA!!  I didn't realize that about the BBB. I see their reasoning, but makes me wonder how many "empty" efforts companies make.
 Saves me some research time on some of the other associated companies!!  It gives me time to research details on the anesthesia group and file complaints on them, AFTER I get the DEBT VALIDATION LETTER & DISPUTE to Capio sent this week.

I use the BBB for general information, and I often read the complaints and reviews.  That gives me insight into what they are doing and usually backs up the complaints here.  I also look to see if they have a lot of positive reviews.  Often you will find that those reviews are posted on simultaneous dates or only a week apart which indicates that they are paid for by the company.

Agreed... I generally expect reviews to be 50/50 split.  90/10 either way makes me question some of them...as a rule, but not always.

They been harrassing me too for a debt that I didn't owe

I have the same problem with them too..... They called me every 2 months to harrass me about a past due debt that had paid off already..  these people have to get a life with their debt collection scheme and fake .

They have been harassing me for over a year about a bill that has already been paid off.  I have called them and talked to them several times.  They continue to try to collect on a bill I no longer owe!  Now they are calling my ex-husband about it.  They now harass him.  The bill has been paid and they are still trying to collect.
