- MarilynOn advice of BBB, I called FTC at 877-382-4357 to report Credit Card Services as I had requested no more calls but they continued. In talking with the nice lady at the FTC, I mentioned calls from Olin at Great Vacations. This was one violator of the "DO NOT CALL" registry that she was not familiar with. So please everyone who is receiving these calls, please please report them. She said consumer reporting is how they are able to slow these people down. She did say that when they are shut down in one location, they find another. This makes it important for everyone to report them. Just maybe some day all locations may be shut down.

- NoodleXTake me off of this 'Diamond Vacation' calling list. I have registered a complaint with the National Do Not Call registry, which I have been on for over 2 years. The pre-recorded message does not give an option to be removed from the list, so I called them to request this and a VERY loud, rude woman would not even let me get a word in edgewise to make the request. Does this kind of invasive, abrasive, extremely annoying and hyperactive sales pitch ever work? What kind of idiot would take this company up on what is clearly a scam?

- dgOlin asked me to call him back on 888-886-3606 to schedule my FREE 8 day/7night vacation. Yet he comes up on my caller ID as Unknown Number. If Olin from Aberdeen was honest his number would show up on my caller ID. I too am on the Federal No Call List. Perhaps I need to reapply to the Fed NCL AND complain.

- Nashville GalI received the call Yesterday and the new name is Affordable Vacations. They claim if you go into their private meeting and listen for 90 mins., they will give away one of three things: 2 airplane tickets, cruise for 2, or a hotel room for 8 days.

- JLMI received a call today fron Olan saying I had won a 7 day cruise and to call back at 1-888-886-3606 to claim my prize. When I called back he said he was closiing up the office and their computers had already been shut off but he wold call me when he got home if I would give him my number. He said he represented Grand Crowne Resorts. I told him I had heard of too many scams and didn't want to give him my number. He said "Then this is not for you." and hung up.

- GettingTiredOfTheseGot a call from 1-888-886-3606 this morning as well. Asked them how they got my number, they would not disclose. Told them this was a do-not-call number, and was promptly hung up on. Rude, unwanted calls.

- QC AreaWon a vacation from our local airport from a company, Great Vacations just set up in our area. Looks like a repeat of the scam discribed throughout this forum. Made a complaint via Do Not Call website, included information from tim meister. Thanks. Hope it works.

- CJCaller ID gave no number, only "Out of Area". Got the same unsolicited pre-recorded message (which is, if I'm not mistaken, illegal now?) from "Olin" of "Great Vacations". I hit 0 before it was through, and was connected to a lady who immediately tried to sell me a vacation package, but I did not respond to her sales pitch. I asked what the company name was. "Affordable Vacations". I asked about the name discrepancy and she did not answer, only tried to go into her script again. I asked for the company contact number, and got this one, and then I simply hung up.

It's been 9 months now, and I haven't had a problem since. - HeatherI have also received messages from "Olin" at Great Vacations. - Connie replies to BarbaraI received the same "free vacation" call from 888-886-3606. It came up on my cell phone as 'number unknown'. I acquired the phone number from the messge they left.
I truly believe they obtained my phone number from a job advertisement I responded to either on CareerBuilder.com or through the South Carolina's employment office 'job search engine'. My phone carrier is T-Mobile. - michel beauvaisI'm getting phone calls on my personnal cell phone fron Olin great vacations . I'm disturbed by that because I'm also on the DNC list . Please , stop these calls for us .

- FriendIf you call the company back and tell them your phone number and that you received a call from them and are interested in their deal. They will start asking you questions to see if you "qualify". One question is if you are between the ages of 30-75. If you say no they will not call you back because they feel you do not have enough money to scam. :-)
