I received a call from Great Vacations 7:30 pm.  Caller ID did not come up but I asked the telemarketer how they got my phone number and did they honor the do not call list.  She said, " O Yes! but sometimes people enter a wrong phone number when responding to their on-line ads and that must be how they got my number. I told the caller I needed their phone number and was given
1-888-886-1832 but this is the same company. This is nothing but an obvious violation of the do not call list which I have reported.

I've been getting calls daily from 888-886-3606 for the past week, the automated message they leave every time they call is from Olin at Diamond Travel. I'm on the do not call list, so they shouldn't be calling me. I have Verizon - the calls show up as "unavailable" otherwise I would block them!

got this initial call and called back.  Went to 90 minute presentation. People tried to get you to buy into a discount travel club.  did not!!! but thought this was reputable until  i received a post card instructions to claim my 7 night cruise , It asked for a 98.00 dollar activation fee to send you reservation forms to claim your cruise.  payment would be check or money order. Sent to woodland incentives Box 2265 Woodbridge,VA 22195.   The travel club was named Pacific Palm Destinations and based at 83 vermont Ave. bldg 5 Warwick R I.   glad i saw these post on who is calling from 1 800.   seems to be a big widespread scam with many different names being used .  My phone call said vacation services when i spoke with someone.  then given a direct # to deal with consultant 813-525-8407.  Not sure how they originally got my number, but maybe because i enter many sweepstakes giving away cruises.   so glad i have only lost time not any money!!! thanks again

getting calls on my cell 601 573 0437 also home 601 878 6851 from Olen or Olin vacations 888 886 3606. i have requested several times for them to remove my number. Also I am on the do not call list

Promises to fly two people anywhere in US on any airline, or else 8 days vacation "at one of our many resorts" for up to six people.

if you are ruder than they are they will take off the list or go to your local police and thet will follow up  for you

Solve this problem with a SILENT ring tone.
To do this use the record option on your phone. Record SILENCE for 1 second. Save the phone number that you want and assign the name "Do not answer". Assign the silent ring tone to this number.

After that when they call you will not be bothered because you will not hear a ring as it is silent.  The only way you know they called is when you look at your phone and see that you missed a call. When you see the missed call was from "Do not answer" you can just laugh.

Does not block the call but otherwise solves the problem.

I just got a call from 813-425-0081. Spam recording pushing some sort of cruise/vacation scam. My phone is on the DNC list.

I called them back and told them not to call me back.  They took my number and put it on their do not call list.  The whole call was 15 seconds.  I'm hopeful that this actually worked.

Our phone is on the  do-not-call yet these "vacation'  people called, on 2/15/2012, at 2pm. Our phone is fios with verizon. The obvious robocall says "Elite Promotions". They claim they have new location in Columbia, MD, hence the call.

Great Great vactions called.  They represented themselves as a new local company.  They offered free Caribbean Cruise for 2 or flight for 2 to  Las Vegas.

We've had repeated issues with this company. They have been convicted of many criminal violations including, but not limited to violations of the do-not-call list. If you ask them to comply with the do not call list, they ask for your #! Pissed off and bored, I set out to see how I could disrupt their call center. Quite easily actually! Using re-dial, I called their # (1-888-886-3606) repeatedly and stayed silent every time they answered until I or they hung up the phone. It's a relatively small call center in Atlanta or Savannah (HQ in Tampa). The people answering the phones have no way of knowing if it's the same person or not. They are forced to answer politely each and every time. Feeling particularly dastardly, I kept this up from morning to night and nearly paralyzed their call center. They were mentally breaking down and losing control. They sounded very weary <evil grin>. I figure the time I spent doing this might have prevented some persons getting ripped off that day and caused everybody at the call center to have a very bad day. When some of them started hanging up first, I called back and complained about their rude agents hanging up on me just trying to return their call and demanded to speak to supervisors (and hung up on them as well. I am occasionally bombarding them today. I's very easy to make a bunch of phone calls in a very short time with the re-dial button. I am pretty sure my actions are causing both financial loss and other stresses on this company. Join me, if only for a few minutes! If everybody who was fed up with these a**holes took the time for similar tactics (especially if there was a way to bombard them through the use of social media, we'll put them on their knees in the dirt. TIA!

Call center appears to be shut down!! Yahoo!!! It was an exhausting process though.... (I am tableturner) two days of repeated phone calls, each call paid for by the center seems to have worked... by the end of the second day, they had expensive techs on site and supposedly a trap in place, the following day they were shut down. Now if only there was a way to automate or mobilize in order to do this again next time the scum resurfaces. Any ideas out there?

Aaaaaannnnddddd....they're at it again. So, being the cocky jerk that I am, I have been doing the same thing as tableturner (mute phone, redial, they hang up, redial, ect..).
They made the mistake of calling me the first time with the 888 number then tried again the next day with "unlisted". No problem, my droid can block 'em all for me :)
I did, however, have a bit of fun and give them some made-up info about me then made the conversation take a nosedive into dirty talk when I got bored. It's pure entertainment messing with them; they called us first, so I say we have some fun. They obviously don't have caller ID so be creative and drive 'em into the pits of Hell where they all belong.
Yes, they are bypassing the DNC lists and will continue to do so until the Feds step in. Telling them to put you on their DNC doesn't work; they don't care. And, you just verified a working number for them.

I forgot to add something:
An earlier posting asked if careerbuilder.com was their source of information on us. The answer is yes. I made the mistake of posting my resume on there last weekend and forgot to take off my phone number. It's the only place I have ever entered it on a webpage.
Granted, I'm sure there are many others places they get our info, but careerbuilder seems to be a common one.

Just got this call came under the title unavailable on my phone. I never answer my phone when that comes up. Heard the message and typed the number into google. Happily found this blog about a scam. The world is never short of terrible people.
