It works both ways chief.  You can slam her for using her first amendment rights either. Stop being an aggressive poster.  No one likes people who do it.

They call me day after day after day...  I have never had a 24 Hr Fitness account!  NEVER!  I tried to call the number, but of course could not speak to a live person, so called the other number given for issues with memberships... told them to stop calling my number.  They said that my number is NOT in their database and that they are NOT calling me... sure enough, next day another call - every day, no matter what...  I'm sick of it.

Sometimes when they call and my voice mail picks up, they put ME on HOLD!!!  Can you believe that.  I hear, please wait for the next available representative!  WTH?  I didn't call you, you called me!  They asked for someone Stevens... Tracy, I think, but when I called customer service they said they have no such person in their records either.

So, who the heck is calling me and why????  It comes up as 24 Hr Fitness everytime!!!

    Please make it go away!!!!

I have received calls from this number for three days and had no idea who it was from-I randomly went on the 24 hour fitness website to find a class schedule and remembered that I hadn't updated my credit card info since I had my card stolen last month. I updated the info and paid this months dues-honest mistake on my part. However, I had every intention of paying dues and have the money to pay-I'm not avoiding payment and don't appreciate being stalked by creditors! A friendly reminder by email would have been sufficient. Right after I went on the website I received a call from the number and went online to research who it could be-hopefully the calls will stop now that I've paid my dues this month and updated my card info.

I got 'em to stop, but I had to play dirty.  This is indeed 24hr fitness's overseas membership call center.  They were calling me once or twice a DAY for a month for somebody else's account.  I both called them directly and used the "press x if this isn't you" on the robocall thing to get them to stop.  Calls kept coming ANYWAY.  I just set my phone to not ring when those calls came in

However, this annoyed me... and unbeknownst to them, I am an IT professional who does inbound call center phone scripting for a living.  So I set up my own auto dialer and had it call them 15 times a second playing a prerecorded message asking them to remove my number and call me when this had been done.  THAT worked, I got a call RIGHT AWAY from them and they assured me I was really and truly off the list!

I also took the call log from my phone and registered every single call over the last two weeks with the donotcall registry, so hopefully that'll get 24hr fined a bunch.

I have received almost daily calls from "24-Hour Fitness" stating my membership was about to expire. I haven't had a membership there in over 10 years. So I simply called the 24-Hour corporate "Contact Us" number (866.308.8179) and they took care of it and said I'd be getting no more calls.

    You are an idiot.

Read the law regarding First Amed.  The First Amed does not apply to someone calling you regarding your account or soliciting business.   Now, I hope this didn't hurt your feelings as it appears you are so sensitive.

They call me multiple times per day and there is no way to make it stop.  I'm planning on making a complaint with the federal government.

Legit?  Hardly.  I'm a homebound invalid and have never had a 24 Fitness Account.  I've told them this and they still call daily.  I just learned how to block them.

"Can anyone tell me how to block those unwanted calls either through our phone service provider of other?????  Thanks, bl"

There are several ways to do so.
    1) Many phone services have Block Call feature, although the feature may only be available with their premium services.    You simply choose the number you want blocked and when CallerID sees those numbers, they won't get through.  I personally use Ooma, a free phone service, and they have this feature.

    2) Many phones also have this feature so you may not need to pay for any service, i.e. Panasonic and Uniden cordless phones.  Here's what Panasonic says, "Block Unwanted Calls
Store the Caller ID info of any and all unwanted callers into your phone's Call Block list so that you can eliminate future pesky calls. After the information is stored, those unwanted callers will receive a busy signal when they call you again."  You can get a 4 handset set with answering machine for about $70.

The Panasonics ring once to let you know a Blocked Caller is calling so that you can still answer, i.e. an ex-boyfriend.  The Unidens don't ring at all, which some people prefer; you'll have to look through CallerID to know they called.  Please note that not all Unidens have this feature so make sure you check.

They claim to be 24 hour fitness. I went to my local gym and checked my account, nothing was due and i was current on my payment. I still get calls from them and told them that i already took care of the payments and cancelled my account, yet they claim they show nothing on the system. So annoying. Hopefully they'll stop.

I got an Android phone and bought an app that diverts calls like these to a really annoying high pitched noise for them to listen to for as long as they like.  My phone doesn't ring when they call and I don't have to waste another second dealing with their craziness -- pure bliss!

They call our doctor's office lines multiple times a day, all lines, not just the published ones. Obviously we have not had a membership since we are a business. We can't get the calls to stop and they literally flood our lines at times. This has been going on for 2 weeks now.
