That's another bogus message above this from the SCAM folks at 888-900-3194. There is no such finance department. Those calling are probably a handful of people in a small warehouse in L.A. where they will be for a couple more weeks until they move to a new location and get a new bogus # so they can continue to scam folks with their 24 Hour Fitness bogus script.

DON'T GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO -- REPORT THEM TO THE FTC AND CALL THEM BACK AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, THEY PAY FOR EVERY TIME YOU CALL THEM.

They have been calling 4 or 5 times daily.  Today I decided to talk to them.  I told them I would give them my credit card info if they called me on my "secure line."  I gave them this number: "area code nine eleven, four fiftyfive, sixteen sixteen."  They said they would call me back right now... idiots!  As soon as they dial the are code (911) they will be connected to their local emergency service, probably freak out, and hang up.  Then the emergency service will call them back and have their location.  Cops hit the scene thinking it's an emergency because nobody will talk to them on the phone.  Fun begins!  I know, I know, I'm wasting resources, but I am sick of these guys calling me.

this number has been calling me (unsucsefully) for 3 weeks.  I answered the 1st & 2nd time then quit & googled it.  there was no music or sound of any kind & no message is ever left.  Interesting that everyone complaining does seem to have a 24 hr account.  wonder who slipped.

I called 24 hour fitness to renew my contract for the year. I got the number (not the 888#) from the letter I received from 24 hour fitness. Ever since I have been getting calls from 888-900-3194 on my cell. The first time, a man with a heavy accent, asked me to update my address. The call seemed skeptical, so I told him that I would call 24 hour fitness directly to do that. From then, the calls comes in at least 5 times a day! I have told them to stop calling and when I start getting upset, they just hang up. OMG~! Guess who is calling now!?!

This is a TOTAL SCAM! I asked my 24 Hour Fitness club managers and it is not 24 Hour Fitness policy to ask you for your credit card info over the phone. These thieves dialing from (888)900-3194 somehow have access to the 24 Hour Fitness database, so they know members' phone numbers and account information including your address! They also know members' who have past due amounts, so they call you pretending to collect on overdue amounts and try to fish for your credit card info or banking information. At first they seem legit because the operators will confirm all your information, including your member ID number. Except if you ask a real 24 Hour Representatives at your club they will tell you that they don't know this number.

I've began receiving calls from this number.  I am up to date on my account.  I was just at the gym, if I was behind you think they would stop me from working out!

As a general rule of thumb, never give your credit card or personal information over the phone!

I received my 1st cal from "24 Hr Fitness Financial Dept" 2 weeks ago.  They 1st asked if I wanted to renew my membership for the year.  I had just signed up a few weeks prior so how could I have wanted to renew already.  When I told the lady this, she then said the payment for my personal trainer did not go through.  She knew my name, the last 4 digits of my card and my membership number.  The events of the call seemed very strange, so I asked her for a name and phone number and told her I'd call her back.  Everything in my acct showed to have gone through.  When I called her back, there was a busy.

I went to my local 24 Hr Fitness to ask about my account and they said everything was good.  They seemed pretty concerned about the situation and said not to respond.

Agian today, I received a call from Jermain at ext 684 stating the same thing as before.  When I confronted him about it, he gave me some BS story.  I asked him for a number and where he was located.  He stated he was calling through Carlsbad, CA from Jamaica.

Nonetheless, I am convinced this is a scam and if you get a call from this number, take it to your local 24 Hr Fitness management.  They need to get involved.  Obviously there is a leak somewhere in their organization.

I received several calls as well asking for my credit card information. I actually canceled my membership months ago and they where asking for my credit card number to update my information. It sounds fishy to me:{. I would not tell them anything. I use to work for this company and recently left, I never once heard of this number. There is a different number for 24's corporate office. BE AWARE!! This may NOT be offical.

I've also been getting DAILY calls from this number - and so after finding this thread, I first called my 24 Hour Fitness location (which I JUST signed up for last week. . . and that's when the calls started.)  At the location, they told me it isn't a number they have on record - but admitted that they don't have all the numbers there.  The girl gave me the corporate office number (800.432.6348) which I called and got some woman who first needed to verify my name, birthdate and address - and then explained something about my card not working.  She asked if I'd cancelled it - and of course I hadn't.  She said it looks like it's expired.  It isn't.  I said, "Look - just confirm  this phone number for me - and I gave her the 888.900.3194 number - and she said, "Yes, that is our accounting department."

Funny - even having that confirmed by this woman didn't settle the feeling of discomfort that I now have about the whole situation.  I told her that I'll be going into the location to settle this issue directly.  That was it.

Received multiple calls from the 888-900-3194 and they usually leave a voice message but gets cut off "..call at your earlier convenience." I finally answered today and they said that my credit card payments did not go through. I mentioned that I will go into 24hr fitness to verify my credit card. However, you will still need to call them back to provide a new credit card number for the two month that they didn't receive the payment. I did notice that my credit card was replaced and the two months were not charged. A few hours later, I also received a phone call from the 999-999-9999 number (no vm was left.) They might be the collection agency on behalf of 24 HR Fitness?

so i got a postcard in the mail, asking to call them about my account. seems legit to me. they had my info and everything, last 4 digits, expiration date, name, phone number etc.  that my monthly account was past due the last 2 months. my orig card on file was maxed out and unable to be charged. so they'll put the outstanding charges on the new card, i'll call back within 48hrs. hopefully no issues.

This number has been calling my cell-phone at least twice a day, everyday, for more than two weeks (888-900-3194).  In addition, (999-999-9999) has also shown up with similar frequency on my cell.

On Weekdays, the phone calls occur once during working hours and once after hours.  On Weekends, the calls occur morning, day, or night, with no specific pattern.

They claimed to be from 24 hour fitness I talked to them after reading these posts. I asked if they knew my membership number (lady had a thick accent) and sure enough she new my membership number but the last 4 of the credit card they had did not sound familiar at all so I asked if it was okay if I went in to the 24 fitness I go to and she said sure as long as I update the account ASAP, I called my gym and was told that every so often VISA will kick out contracts such as theirs and make them redo the contract, to make sure they are still legitimate. VISA did this to about 75% of their members. So the call seemed legit to me. If you think its a scam see if they have your 24 hour fitness member #.
