Some of you people actually called the number on the card to find out about your "important package"?  Holy [***], you people are [***] stupid.  This is exactly why this type of junk mail will never end.  There is an unlimited number of you [***] morons that will fall for this obvious scam.

I'm the idiot who fell for the scam and let some man come into my house and check my water! He was unprofessional stinky and sweating!!! He seemed nervous. Kept insisting that we get our water filter right then for the best discount. He had no business card no phone number no website- NOTHING. Very scary. Called DMV services back and they have no info to give me either without me giving all my info once again.

I just bought a home and received a postcard in the mail from DMC Services. I thought it was a scam immediately, since I have no package coming. This scam has been going on for such a long time. I worry about the elderly in my area, who are really trusting, and are likely to be taken in. There really ought to be a way of getting this type of predator to at least cease and desist.

These companies are co owned and operated by Fred Faria, Patrick Esposito, Rick Singh and pat Ellis. The marketing portion is direct market concepts owned by Rick Singh and the company who completes the water test is owned by island services owned by the other 3 men and managed by RickSingh. They purchase mailer lists of new homeowners from a company called dataman group, list link specifically. These lists offer homeowners names, address, age, cost of home, county and phone number. What they do is wrong on so many levels and none of you know the half
Of the grime conducted by the 4 of these men. Good luck all!!! Oh and they contract the water softeners through the company Aquapro. Good luck!

I just got one of these yesterday. I work for a radio station so I decided to investigate. I called the number and they asked for the "Tracking Number" on the front, so I gave them the number. The representative then asked for my name and address to "verify the package info", I gave him a completely phone name and address and after putting me on hold for a minute or two, said "thank you sir, the info matches our records..." and then went into the spiel about how the "important package" has to be hand delivered, etc. I kept him on the phone for a while trying to press for specific information and got him pretty flustered. Here's my experience:

I receilved a letter from DCM Serices today June 8, 2013 stating they had learned about my brother
passing away and wanted to know who had the authority to pay outstanding bills from his estate. They
requested a name, address and phone number or call them at 877-326-6768.   Letter not signed, just, Cordially, DCM Services, LLC.    My brother did recently pass away, however, he had no debts.
I think this is a new scam.  Beware. So happy I googled the company name. Saved me time.....Thanks.

They erased his address. I'd like his address and phone number. I told them I wasn't in a new house. She wouldn't give up. Sooooooo, I kept babying and agitating her as I have been agitated. What the heck, I just retired.

I received this card also. The return phone # on the card is not the one listed at the beginning of this blog, but 866-209-2969.
I'm a sucker for free merchandise, and have received other items from the local "Welcome Wagon." When I called the number, they were trying to deliver a free bottle of Tide, and to receive the Tide they just needed to do a free test on the quality of my water and ask me a few questions. They also asked if I had a water softener. At that point I guessed what they were selling.  They asked me if I was the sole homeowner and wanted an appointment to take a free water sample from my kitchen sink and to speak with both homeowners together.  I didn't like this sneaky sales tactic and the thought of these creepy people coming into my house made me feel very uncomfortable. I may be close to 70 but I'm not stupid. Is this legal?

Thanks for the posts! I did not call. I received the post card and thought, hmmmm......I get packages left at my door, so why couldn't they? Plus it has a stamp...ummm.....even if they could not leave it, they would have left a note at my front door, not send a postcard in the mail! I yahoo'd DMC Services and saw all these posts. Return address is showing Florida. I'm in Henderson, NV.

I got a post card from them and called to let them know to just leave the package.  They gave me hard time because I was just going to give them my tracking number.  Eventually, I wrote the US Postal Inspector on them.
