Or just take the card to the local post office and request the PO inspectors to look at it.

One of the ways companies contact us is by obtaining copies of documents concerning real properties, which documents are recorded thru every County Recorder's Office in every State; they are deemed to be public documents, i.e. deeds transferring ownership of real property, Deeds of Trust or Mortgages for refinances.  Each document provides the name and mailing address, as well as the property address, of each property owner.  The recording info is also published in local real estate papers, as well as online by each County Recorder's office.  Easy to obtain.  The card I rec'd was simply because I refinanced my property; the phone number on the card was 866-209-2989.  Also, for those in homestead states, similar mailings will occur and offer to provide you with a Homestead Declaration for a price.  A blank document can be easily obtained online thru a State government agency, i.e. County Recorder's office, etc., which you can print, fill out and send in yourself.  Why aggravate yourself by being sucked in to mailings and phone calls?!?!

I also received a card in the mail.   also have recently purchased a new home.  I am over 70 years old and carry a concealed weapon.  In my home it is not concealed and I am trained and ready to use it.  THIS IS HOW YOU CAN PROTECT YOURSELF FROM UNWANTED PEOPLE IN YOUR HOME.  Unfortunately, you can not protect yourself from the electronic thief in the same way.  We need to be very aware of the electronic threats that are around us every day.
