Geez, someone is awful touchy on this subject!, do you work there?!...The company may be legit but BARELY, like many people stated on here it is just a glorified collections agency using scare tactics to collect money and receive some kind of percentage (must be good too cause,from what I hear they are doing quite well for themselves) and they certainly bend the laws to the limit!  

PS if your going to rant, proof read your post first if you want to be taken seriously!

Don't know why they are still in buisness. I'm just trying to help, if ya don't want to listen, then thats not my problem. If I was rich and could afford a lawyer to investigate so people don't get burned then maybe I would. I didn't say its not a legite company as people said it does have another name, its just wrong they way they present themselves. IF they are threatening and saying presenting themselves as someone else that is wrong. You sound pretty defensive, sounds like you  work there!!!!

They will collect, so just pay your bill! Was friends with a guy at this firm and they are good at what they do. This firm lost a good man but they still have people that know whats up! Do your self a favour and $$$$$$ up..

Hi, I'm glad to see someone on here with a similar situation to me.  Im instructed by shawn in 310 loan management to call this 1-904-474-3535 number because she had to put my account through the lawyer to collect what i owe, which is only $163.30.  I too received a call from this number so I called one day.  The guy right away said How could you do this?  Your commiting fraud by doing this intentionally.  I told him to not judge me i'm a single mother who had every intention of paying back the cash store and 310 loan, but things got hard.  I'm going to call again because my call was cut off.  Can you tell me what that number is to call canada payday loan association?  My email is snicholas081282#gmail.com  thanks.

I recieved a phone call from paul kupferstein ans associates in regardes to a payday loan with cash store. Which is valid cause i do owe them money. The guy i was speaking too stated he would freeze my assets and bank acct. I advised him the only an active court had the rights to do this. He then stated that he ddint say that and that he  would have the cops come to my door with a supeana

well I did a reverse number on 905-474-3535 an got no info on it.. if its a lawyer office so they claim to be then why wouldnt it show that on the number but there was nothing. I am really shocked that all these people including myself have had a run in with this company.. I talked to a lawyer regarding this about them threatening to charge anyone with fraud.. That in its self is a criminal offense to say they will charge anyone with fraud. The person I spoke with was mr david. He was rude an hung up on me not once but twice. We should all get together an go after them for the companies practise an misrepresentation of being a lawyers.

I really cant see how they can stay in business.For a lawyer to have those working in the law office an knowly knows that Mr david an others there are passing themselves off as lawyer, its the lawyer liable for some kind of charges against him.Are they acting on behave of the cash store 310 loan or are they just going threw personal information on everyone.What are our legal rights regarding this.. But I do know that it is a criminal offence to say to someone that they will be charged with fraud if they do no pay that is a form of exstoration, an that in its self is a criminal offence..

I also had an identical call to another post - the "urgent legal matter" a case number, and the rest was so rushed, I googled the number to find out the company and found this page... BLESS YOU ALL for your postings, as I'm sure you've all felt, the sheer panic of having any possible legal issue. They never mentioned any money owed or anything.

Well, after a second message with the words "investigation" and "you have 24 horus to respond" I called them back.. and frankly, I was a bit taken aback at the harshness of the message, (which had me really stressed) and it turns out they were after someone else, NOT me... I'm just apparently listed as a contact on file! These are heavy handed tactics to take with someone who's not even involved, and doesn't owe money! glad these guys arent after me... from all the postings, I wish you all luck! Anyway, I posted this in case anyone else gets a baffling call from them - it's *not* always for YOU!

These people are trying to make a living, as we all do. If you deal with loosers all day tring to collect money, we could all get short tempered.
Only from a former buddy of the law firm can I sat this. God rest my friends soul.

They called me, but I was not home and my boyfriend answered it.  They wanted him to take a number, but he was just getting out of the shower and told them to call back. He then decided to look it up on the internet and found this info.  Thank goodness, because I don't owe anyone anything, but it could not come on a worse day.  What bothers me is they knew my full name.

Mr. David called me at 11am and told me that I have to call the number due to a legal matter regarding a case number 343794 and said please call this number immediately. When I called I redaled 5 times, but no one answered. On the 6th time, the lady answered the phone claiming there is a law office and I asked her about the case number 343794 and she said no. She asked me about my name, and she said she would transfer me to Paul and Paul said no, I dont have the case number and he will give me the phone number for David. I asked him the last name of David and Paul told me that David goes only by David. I questioned him that how could a lawyer be only under the first name without the last name and he said he is sorry but Mr. David will call me back. I am still waiting for Mr. David's call back...I guess he will never call back unless he is preparing some kind of a statement.

Yeah:  I rec'd calls and msgs from somebody at the Law office of Kuperstien etc.  I love how the say the pending legal matter.  The documents are leaving our office tomorrow - re the legal matter/suit against you!

Then they want my laywers name/#.  So I returned the call.  Asked them which court were the apparently suing me from...ANd which legal law suit documents were they talking about?

He said the court nearest you! ha.  Still - to this date.... 6 weeks later.  I've rec'd no legal documents - re the law suit! ha.  They're full of [***].

Yes:  I owe some $$ re a payday loan.  Which I tried to call them to clear up before this dork started calling and trying to threaten me.

But when I called him back - he never talked about a settlement.  Just wanted my lawyers name.  Why would I need/want a lawyer.  We're talking about $500.  No frickin way anyone would drop a lawsuit over that much $$.

The absolute same thing happened to me. I received a call at home from a Mr. Hazel representing Paul Kuperstein saying that if I didn't pay 370.64 within 24 hours they would alert the authorities and I would be arrested and charged with fraud and the amount would almost triple to 1500.00. This was an old forgotten about debt to the cash store so I sent him 180.00 without even thinking it may be a scam. I then Googled his name and found he was a scam...Gee I felt like a real sucker. I then contacted the authorities (I was working at this point) and as I was on the line with dispatch an officer walked in to inquire about some furniture and I had told him I was on the phone with dispatch. He agreed to take the case and I showed him this and a few other message boards regarding this Kuperstein scumbag. He gave me a case number a lawyer who would fight for me so I called this (905) 474-3535 number and spoke with a person who went by the name of Cassell and only Cassell who then said "I'm not a lawyer, what your saying is hilarious and your wasting my time" at which then hung up on me. I have now got a lawyer and the Waterloo District Fraud Division on it for me. We did a trace and found Mr. Kuperstein's real address and phone number and are pursuing it legally to the best of our abilities. Maybe just maybe this could lead to the end of this scam and prevent him from obtaining anymore victims. Let's hope for the best!!!!

My mom received a call from a Mr. hazel asking for my sister. My mom delivered the message to my sister who returned the call. The woman who answered the phone 9054743535 said "law office". She said Mr.Hazel is not in and she could not say what type of attorney is Mr. Hazel. We got suspicious and try to tract the address of this firm.It is unlisted and does not exit. This is when I found this website.

I just spoke with Dianne of the Law Society of Upper Canada.  If at anytime anyone from this organization states anything as noted in this post by Cindy you can lodge a complaint against them.  Since Kuperstein is a member of the Law Society they can handle things from their side.
