I just got a call from this number 905 474 3535, he said he is calling from a law firm and looking for my friend regarding to a law sue matter. I asked him what's that legal matter but he wouldn't say.  The only problem is my friend already passed away over two years ago already.  I am very mad someone tried to make easy money upon my dead friend.  Its' very good about this wed page when I search on google about the phone number.  Too many bad people around that taking advantage on little people.  Thank you to all of the people that reported on this wed page.

I recieved a call from this # a paul kupferstein law office also I was actually taken to court and I was ordered to pay the lawsuite amount of $3000 this is not a scam for whomever thinks this is your lucky your file never went to court... I listened to all these people on these websites and I refused to pay and look where it got me! Thanks everyone....I am now on welfare and lost my job due to missing so many days of work for court.

OMG Kiki i am so sry to hear that ;( i was going to be one of those ppl that didnt listen to what The Law office had to say and now im glad i didnt..Heres what i did and it might still be able to help you.. I called a non-profit group called In Debt Solutions i highly recommend them they contacted my debater's and made arrangements for easy payments of $18 a month ;)

I got the same message today from Mr.Sargent he called my work as well he was very rude to me and hung up on me this isnt right

this idiot "mr.hazel" called my cell phone looking for a friend of mine and he told me his name and everything.. but thank god i didnt no his number... he was saying that this was a "legal matter" but he didnt tell me what for... lol. I google his name and this stuff pops up.. people these days must have no lifes.

well I received a call yesterday from a Mr Hazel. He was telling me if I don't pay the amount my feb 6 @ 1:30 that all my accounts will be frozed. So I made arragement that I would pay a certain amount and he agreed that I had to pay 60% of the amount of what I owe but that is interest on there that I owe and the 3000 added on there. what do I do? I have half hour more to figure out to pay that amount or not. PLease give me some advice.

I heard of this web site from a friend who heard of what i went through. I was very weary of paying this law firm. after a few days of thiking about it and asking advise from others i came to the conclusion that i had owed this money. i didnt want to create any extra problems with a debt that i created. i called back the number and asked them to clarify what the money was owed for and how much it was. when they confirmed what i knew i owed i agreed to pay.  i no longer have had any phone calls from them and my debt has been cleared. it might seem a little weird that i agreed to pay it but i figure its a debt that i created and they called for that and not some stupidness that i had nothing ever to do with. do what you want but im not going to be sued ontop of what i owe. good luck to you all. hang in there.....

I too am being sued by some false lawyers office,cooperstein and assc..the same mr.david said i owe 3.000 dollars i told him to hit the skids,i also laughed at him told him he was a joke and that i guess ill see him in court.............dont sweat it

i recieved a call from someone claimng to be a MR. David from the law offices of Cooperstein & assc.905 474 3535,on wednesday feb 13th saying that i was being sued for the amount of 3.000 dollars,for a old payday loan which was for way under 600. now they tell me to pay the amount to them and not to the original lender ,whom ive already made arrangments to pay .this mr david was extremley rude,and i did'nt like the threats.
please do something,.....t...

Can someone tell me if this collection agency is for real cause i was told that i owed cash stop and i was more or less threatened if i don;t pay the full amount of $1,100.00 in 3 days, how do i know that they are scammers and how come the law which they call themselves  Lawyer don;t do anything about these people, they sound very real

A "Mr. Sargeant" called me at work via my office switchboard, then to my direct work line and also left a treatening voice mail (extremely detailed!) on my home phone #.  My 12 year old listened to the voice mail before I did and she was absolutely distraught!  Try explaining such a message (taking me to court, contacting my friends and family, etc) to a child!  I am contacting every government department that I can find to report them!  They called me as a collection agent (although they call themselves "Law Office of Paul Kupferstein") for 310-LOAN (another loan shark payday company).

Hello.  I sympathize.  My call came from a "Mr. Sargent" from Kupfersteins office.  I was told to pay $1070 by 12 noon the next day (not even 24 hours!  This was on Wed Feb 20th!  I didn't pay it.  I searched the internet and found much info regarding these creeps.  The debt that I owe to 310-LOAN is actually $749.00 - not $1070.00!  I was treatened with frozen bank accounts, to be charged with fraud, taken to court, wage garnishment AND issuing subpoenas to my family and friends!..blah blah blah!  I immediately got some advice which I am following to a "T" and am still working on.  These instructions included contacting the Canada Payday Loan Association (a kind lady spoke with me IMMEDIATELTY and gave me soo much helpful information), Ontario Registrar of Collection Agencies, Better Business Bureau, Business Licensing Section (a division of Service Nova Scotia & Municipal Relations), the Federal Government Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada....and I am continuing my search for help!  You would be well advised to do the same.  KNOW YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS!  This is ILLEGAL ACTIVITY!

A friend of mine recieved a call from this number 905-474-3535.the person whom identified himself as sergent or sargent?? said it was in regards to fraud and from him to get a hold of myself and relay the phone number and case #,I called the number in the early morning with my cell phone # blocked and i got a directory or message saying it was "The Law Office"
sound fishy,anyway should i call back to get more info or just leave it be.I'm pretty sure it's the same people whom called me on a cash store payday loan a few years back and unfortunately I went though bankruptcy (got injured and couldn't work so the loan was included in that).Are these people legit or are they paid to harrass people and open old wounds?

Called the number,got the info that it was for the Cash store and informed him it was included in the bankruptsy,gave him my trusties name and number and was told i wouldn't hear from them again and the case would be closed,the person whom i do not know his name wasn't short tempered and actually came accross as being polite even prior to finding out that it was included and discharged with the bankruptsy,but i he originally did ask for a lawyer's name and number and apparrently it was taken to court,enough said,situation resolved

Mr Sargent called a friend of mine demanding my phone number, I called him later and he started demanding $ for an unpaid Bell Phone account. I caved and took down his information...the money order was to be sent to Paul Kupfresteen (notice the spelling of the steen part) "In Trust" 7220 Woodbine Ave, Suit 203 Markham, ON L3R 4B9 and his phone # was 905-474-3535. As all of the previous ppl on this site I was almost scammed. I called my local police dept and they told me not to send a cent even if I did owe Bell money do NOT send the $. How convienent he called after Bell Canadas buisness hours and gave me till noon tomorrow deadline. This just happend to me tonight. I totally intend to follow up futher, heck maybe I will have some fun of my own with Mr. Sargent. Thank you to who ever started this site and thank you Mr. Sargent for messing up the spelling that led me here. REMEMBER if it smells like a fish, it probably is one.

Oh and one more note.....he told me that my court proceedings were being held tomorrow...funny last I knew when you are to appear in court arnt you suppose to be notified by a court offical?
Well I am still gonna have some fun with him, I'll have to sleep on it and see what I come up with in the morning....oh and I am going to call the local news paper, I am sure that will help other unsuspecting people.

hi  recieved a call from  mr.david  saying that my daughter owes 600.00 for a  phone bill from like 4 years ago. he told her to send a money order for this amount ... she  is very upset about this  call and so am i. i would think that the  police would be able to stop this  stuff.
she did not  paid the 600.00 and i have  the call on my message machine
that he is  taking it to court and know she will owe  1400... can't  any one  do anything about this guy....

Hi...just wanted to apprize everyone on Mr. Sargent and his imaginary company...I didnt end up sending him the money and spent the rest of this week making phone calls including calling the "real" Kupferstein". Turns out I DO NOT owe Bell Canada a cent and even if I did they do not use a law firm to get money owing, they contact C.B.C Canadian Bond Credit 1-877-503-2115(a collection agancy.) So Patricia if it is through Bell tell you daughter to start with calling Bell to see if she does even owe this money. I have made calls to every agancy I can think of including the R.C.M.P and all they can tell me is that this is becoming more and more a problem and that catching them is very difficult.
I hope this helps, for me just knowing that there were other ppl in the same boat as I was it was somewhat comforting and modivation for me to persue.

We live in Ontario. Mr Hazel from 905-474-3535 has called here for my mother 3 times. First there was a voicemail, which I promptly googled and found many reports of apparent scamming. Then he called this morning and I was not next to a phone with Caller ID so I answered. He asked for her, and said he was Mr Hazel. I told him that I would not be passing on his message, since I believed him to be a scammer, and I hung up. He called back and left a message insisting that her "case" was about to go to a bailiff. Along with other urgent and insistent threats.

A little info, my mother has completely clear credit, does not owe anything to anyone, all her bills are paid on time, etc etc... I have no idea why they would be calling her. The reason I am dealing with it is that she is in Florida for the winter and I am house sitting.

I'm wondering if we should just ignore this, or if I should pass the info along to her in order to see if she can figure out why they are calling, or if we should be reporting this to someone.

P.S. For the record, I am convinced that people like "kiki" are probably people who actually work for the scammers, and are actually trying to scare those of us who are still undecided, into complying.
