    keep getting these calls, if they truly are a collection agency, by law they need to notify you in writing who they are and what you owe.  We don't answer unknown's...due to identity theft...these agencies shouldn't be calling. It's not safe to give any personal information over the phone due to identity theft.

    The twit that answers the calls is so ignorant and rude. When i had a missed call from this place i returned it. She answered it and when i had asked her what this place is she hung up on me. I called again and asked her if it was common practice to answer and hang up on people at her place of employment and she snapped! She then demanded I give her my name phone number and S.I.N. # !! HAHA yeah right ladie loopy, the person she is calling for was a past resident. Get a life and update your files people. Call me again and i am taking further actions

    These clowns are trying to pay tough with me.  They introduced themselves as "D&D" instead of "D&A" so that I might not be able to identify them.  By law they need to deliver written correspondence before the phone harrassment starts.  These cellar dwellers have messed with the wrong customer - I am a corporate lawyer and intend to have lots of fun with these pillars of society

    5 people live in this house and "D&A corp" never says who the message is for.

    Had a very rude message left for someone in the household "You have not responded to any of our calls in years! [we'd only gotten the calls every single day for the last month and she corrects herself saying "the last 46 days we've been trying to contact you"] Because of stupid behavior in not calling me back I've told our clients to move forward with legal proceedings"

    It's been 3 months and all they do is call.. Nothings EVER come in the mail from a debt collector or a court of law.  

    They call sometimes minutes apart, using spoof number [000000000, 99999999999999; etc] or blocks their number to call.  They've called as early as 6am [on the dot] and late as 11pm.  I do not have any debt and no credit cards so i know the call is not for me.  This has been going on for years and I'm close to changing my number.  For now when they call I pick up and hangup.. not caring that they callright back.  They eventually give up for a few hours leaving me in peace.

    They called me and left a message concerning action that may be taken against me and that I need to call them ASAP. He said he was calling from the Mississauga office.

    I called back today and said Im just calling the number on my phone. She asked for my phone number but couldnt find an records for me.

    Said it could of been a wrong number. Im sure they left a message for my name though.

    Tom, thanks for that phone number.  DNA have my cell number but it's not me they want.  I spent time clearing this up about a month ago and didn't they just call again.  I've told them several times now that I am not the person they are looking for and they said they'd remove my numbers from their files.  I just told the gal who called that she's running up my cell bill and costing me money!!  REMOVE my numbers from your files.

    Well, I never received anything in the mail. I got a call, and they refused to tell me who they were. She finally gets her supervisor on the phone. Now,...I have been through a lot financially this past year and dealt with banks and credit card companies and debt collectors. BUt this one Moffo, had the wrong attitude and did not care. These guys are tactless and ignorant with a bad attitude. I was able to negotiate and reduce my debt substantially over the year with other companies because they were willing to listen and work with us. But this company has got to be the most unprofessional and tactless collection agency I have come across. Change your management!!!!. bottom line is I am not going to pay and I am going to take their calls and irritate them with my responses. Maybe i can release my pressures on them.

    Just called me 5 minutes ago, I didn't pick up to see if they would leave a message. Apparently my name is "Hamir" and I need to urgently call them. I live in western Canada and well, i'm not Hamir, my phone is my own, and my family has been living in my house for the past 25 years. I don't recall having any debt...no wait, I don't!

    I don't answer my phone so I don't get charged for long distance. Funny how scammers try to trick people into giving their information. I hope others can find this thread so they won't be tricked by them.

    I've had many calls from this #.  I answered the phone one morning as I was on my way to work.  This was on a Monday.  He said the bill had to be paid by that Friday.  I asked him why I did not receive a notice as it is against the law to call me without first sending a notice.  After I advised him I did not receive the first notice, they are supposed to send out another one and not call me for 6 days.  The calls keep coming.  Until they can confirm that I do owe money and I receive a written notice, I will not pay them anything.

    Got so many calls from this number D & A Collections  and his name is Mr. Omar.his # is 905-568-6863  VERY VERY RUDE [***].  Doesn't speak any english,  has a strong accent which you can't understand.  If you talk to him he raises his voice like he's the king,  WTF!!! how you people wake up in the morning and enjoy harrassing people day in and day out when you don't even know there situation.  Do you honestly think we do this on purpose.  I had enough with these collection agencies the government needs to step in and stop these people who call themselves COLLECTORS.  They call and you can hear the noise in the background typing away like your a criminal.  
    Mr. Omar before calling learn how to speak english, learn your manners and stop breathing so hard on the other line.  Your DISGUSTING human being!!!

    Some idiot called me from this number and he was really aggressive, asking me questions like police interrogator. His name is Mr Thomas. BTW: He was inquiring about somebody I knew few years ago. How the heck did he get my number, I don't know.

    Called our house this afternoon.  Left a message for someone we've never heard of with a reference number and the message 'I have a very important matter to discuss with you that requires a call back'.

    If it was truly "very important" they should have a real phone number to contact the person...

    Got a call from this number on Oct 29 2010, Friday morning at 8:45.  Didn't answer the call then came here to look up the number. Apparently they are a collections agency. I don't owe any money, have any past due collections or even any dealings with loans, THIS IS A SCAM. I look forward to them calling back so I can tell them that, then notify the police.

    Hey, if you owe someone money and they call looking for it I dont see what the problem is here and why you all complain about them calling you.  

    If you owe it pay up.

    I had a call from them asking for a name that is not at this residence and same last name, apparently different address.   I am more worried about someone applying for credit in my name and not knowing exactly why they are calling.

    The caller said she was from a financial company with an application.  I got the feeling she was from a collection company.

    If you owe someone $$, shut up and pay it back!

    A lady called today (January 19, 2011) around 11:20am to my office general number and look for me and my Manager. As stated by law. COLLECTION agents are not allowed to call EMPLOYER as per collection legislation rules and regulation.

    Get familiar with the collection agencies rules. Knowing what debt collectors can and can't do and what you can and should do will help you deal with collection agencies. Below we provide a partial list of the rules for Ontario. The legislation is similar (not identical) in other provinces and territories.

       * Collection agencies may not harass you or your family. Calling you once or twice a day is acceptable. Calling you and your family ten times a day is harassment. If you believe a collection agency is harassing you, keep a record of the time, date and frequency of the calls. If you decide to make a formal complaint against the collection agency you will require this information.
       * Collection agencies may not call you on a statutory holiday, on a Sunday before 1 pm or after 5 pm, or on any day before 7 am or after 9 p.m.
       * Collection agencies may not contact you (by phone, voicemail, or e-mail) more than three times in any seven-day period on behalf of the same creditor.
       * Collection agencies may not contact your friends, relatives, neighbors or employer for any information other than your address or telephone number, with limited exceptions. These involve special cases, when, for example, someone has co-signed for a good or service you have purchased.

    You should deal with collection agencies in a forthright and professional manner. Try to treat them the way that you like to be treated yourself. Don't allow them to bully you into making commitments that you know you cannot keep. If you do make a commitment - keep it. If you cannot, be certain to explain to the agent why you couldn't.

    Ignoring collection agencies' attempts to contact you will not help you solve your problems: it might stop the collection calls - true, but beware that if they cannot reach you, they may simply proceed with the legal action.

    How should you deal with collection agents? Here's our three step plan:

    First, don't ignore them. They won't just go away. Talk to them, and explain your situation. If you are not working, or can't pay them, tell them that. Don't have a long discussion with them. They want to keep you on the phone and upset you so you will pay them money. Don't play that game. Tell them your situation, and then hang up.

    Second, if you can pay them, tell them what you can afford, and offer to send them the money. If you can afford $200 per month, offer to send them $200 per month. They may ask for $400, but never commit to pay more than you can afford.
