I get calls all of the time same old story no one on the other line of phone, I even opt out, still does not work. Anyone with help please let me know. Post a note.

Call from 909-650-9121 caller ID shows Credit Services.. No message left. did not answer .

called, did not leave message.  reported to do no call list.

Autodial with offer to lower my credit card APR, without telling me what credit card. It said press '1' to speak to someone or '2' to discontinue receiving calls.

I pressed '2', got my fingers crossed it works.

Don't know what they wanted, they hung up before my answer machine had a chance to kick in.

(909) 650-9121 just called with "Unknown Caller"... didn't answer of course.

Didn't recognize the number on caller id, so I didn't answer!  They called at 3:50 CST.

I got my phone call this morning.
Had some broken english speaking person saying they want to lower my CC interest rates to 6%.
I asked whick company he represents, he say's "all of them" and that they were the "main office".
I responded to him, "main office in america should have english speaking people" and hung up on him.
Dont fall for their scam.

WOW Andy, you really need to sit down with snookems and convince her that you should deal with these situations from now on and if theye were legitimate business's, they would wait for your correspondence.
Im sure she is a wonderful person, but obviously, "naive".
Anyway, you may need to close your checking account? Maybe not? But most definately your CC company needed to be advised and put a stop to the transaction.
She didnt give her birth date too did she?
Be prepared for the same scammers calling you back to request a birthdate to validate the right customer?
If anything else, keep and eye on your credit report for possible identity theft and maybe purchace indentity theft protection from your CC company or your bank.
Keep in mind that all CC companies offer it but only limit you to theft protection on their card only.
However, you may be able to purchace it through your own bank which may cover you for any identity theft.
Good luck, I know how it feels to have handed personal info on a silver platter.

so much for the DNC list.  And to think the people that are supposed to enforce the dnc list are the same people that want to take care of our health care system.  The United States need to wake up and throw all the bums out

We have gotten several calls from this number. We have caller I.D. so do not answer--but it's still an annoyance to have these scammers disturbing the peace of our home. I will gladly add my report to others in hopes of stopping this type of crooked stuff--

Got a call this morning. Hung up when I said hello. I think they reconized my voice from before and did not want another cussing!

They called this morning...on a Saturday at 10am.  Gooood.  We didn't answer.

Missed a call from this number this morning 2/15/10.  No message left.  Before calling back I decided to google the number and found this site.  I am shocked to see some posts going back a year.  I too am on DNC list. How do we get these people to stop?

I followed Laura's advice and just reported them to the FTC.

I got the same type of call and asked which credit card they were calling about.  He rattled off four companies.  I replied that's funny because I don't have a credit card with any of them.  He then rattled off four more companies and I said I don't use VISA or MasterCard and I'm on the Do Not Call List.  He said he would call me every day on every hour.  When I asked why he would want to do that he hung up on me.  Scamming idiots.  The sad part is, other than to vent on a website like this, there doesn't appear to be anything we can do about it.  I had hoped I could report it since he threatened to harrass me.
