IRS does not call!!!!!! Nothing but another scam.

I got a call from 1-607-529-9906 stating they were the IRS, filing a suit against me, and to call back to 914-595-6462.  I called the calling number and got the message that it was not a working number.  The call-back number rang and rang with no answer.  Arrgh!

Left this number as a call back number on our voice mail.  Call originated from 760-733-9957.  Voice mail said they were the IRS and they were suing us!

I received a call at 11:45 in NC from "unknown name" at 847-537-9793 informing me that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.  I always Google these unknowns and am grateful for the information it provides, especially with these type of stories.  I wish there was an effective way of reporting it.  I live in a very tiny town and would hate to bother our equally small police force with stuff like this.  Thanks!

I received the same IRS scam call.  Call back number 914-595-6462.

Rec'vd a message from this number, stating we were being sued by the IRS and we were to contact them immediately.  I tried the number back late in the evening with no answer or answering machine.  Tried number again today, a foreign accent answered saying they were the IRS and he proceeded to tell me that all I had not paid my taxes from 2008-2013 and there was a warrant out for my arrest and all of my banking funds would be frozen within 2 hours.

This #914-595-6462 called and left me the same message that I am being sued by the IRS. Fact is the IRS doesn't Call anyone, the IRS will ONLY notify you by U.S. Mail. In fact anyone that watches the news knows the IRS doesn't have enough people to answer the phones that come in to them let alone call us. If the IRS does contact you for back taxes they will do it by mail, schedule an appt. with you, review the info,(face to face) then notify you again in writing via  U.S. mail of the result of your face to face meeting. This scammer is obviously an idiot piece of S#it. I hope this info. helps those who are freaked out about this. I have forwarded this info to the Feds, and traced the IP address with a PING for this scammer, they will get caught eventually.

The most ill disguised scam call ever!!

Important call from the IRS. Caller ID says PAYPHONE. SCAM!!!  Says they are going to sue me.

I just got the same IRS scam call.  You could hear the "pause/click" while the computer kicked in the recording.

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for the IRS and these scam calls.  Maybe if they actually did something about it - oh - LIKE USED THE ENTIRE POWER OF THE GOVERNMENT TO DO SOMETHING, this wouldn't be such a pain in my butt.  Put on the block list.

Same IRS message.  Said the IRS was going to sue us.

Today (4/24/15) I received my 2nd phone call claiming that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. The call back number was: 914-595-6462. A quick Google search proved to be filled with many complaints that this is a scam. Of course it is. But, it's bothersome and some people might actually fall for it. I'm hoping by complaining ... AGAIN... that there may be a way to close them down.

This is a scam with a robocall claiming it's the IRS.

I received a call from 914-595-6462 from a recording stating to be the IRS saying they have been looking for me and are going to file a lawsuit.   I'm sure if the IRS wanted to find me they could!  So I knew it was a scam. I would not even return the call.  Sometimes these scams want you to call back because you will be charged hundreds of dollars for a call.  I've read stories about that on the internet.  You don't know where you are calling and there could be a charge.  But I guess in this case, it's more likely that they will claim to be the IRS and want your bank account info to get money to avoid the lawsuit.

Received a robo call on my answering machine.  It said "Hello, we have been trying to reach you.  This call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service.  The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 914-595-6462 I repeat 914-595-6462.  Thank you."
