Got a call today 05/11/15 claiming to be the IRS and they are filing a law suit when I laughed  knowing it's a scam the guy started cursing me out which made me laugh even more.  The number 914 595-6462 is a scam.

I received a call today, also said they were the IRS.

I received a phone call today from 9145956462, Yonkers,NY. Stated final notice. IRS filing a lawsuit. Bring if on, Uncle Scam!

I received the same call in Ak. I called back got someone with foreign accent. Told me same thing   Wanted my cell number told didn't have one. Wanted me to send 5,000 dollars. Told him would go to irs office. He hung up

Received a call and voicemail stating it was the IRS filing a suit...914-595-6462 scam for sure

I have gotten several robo calls from this number 914-595-6462 left on my answering machine-last one yesterday. Claimed to be IRS trying to find me before filing a lawsuit.  I knew IRS would notify me in writing instead of leaving a message on my machine, so therefore I didn't return call.  Hate these unwanted calls!

I received a call from 917-725-2228 saying this was the final notice due to a lawsuit filed against me by the IRS.

Just got a call from this number. It was an automated voice saying the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. I wish them good luck on that. I have nothing

Robo call claiming the IRS is suing me and this is call back number.

Received a call late afternoon today from 914-595-6462 saying the IRS was going to file a lawsuit against me.  Since I follow the law & don't have a lot of money, I pretty much knew this was BS.

Just received a call. It really upset me. I knew I had no issues with the IRS but this called ticked me off. F them

Same scam described above.  BEWARE!  IRS would never use this method for legitimate issue.

Received calls from this # over the past 2 days...

I just got this same call from +1 (914) 595-6462. A message that was cut off. IRS final notice. Blah blah blah. Thankful that it is a scam. I tried to call it back and it never connected. Just kept ringing. I was fixing to tear someone up.

I had a message on my answer machine saying a lawsuit was being filed against me and to call 914-595-6462.  A woman with a middle eastern accent answered and immediately stated my name without me telling her.  She asked if I was aware of the allegations being filed against me.  She said that the IRS did an investigation for 2008-2014 and that I owed $4,523.96.  I stated that I had paid my taxes every year but she continued with threats that they would be contacting me within the hour and a lawsuit would be filed.  I could hear voices in the background that sounded like she was in a busy office setting.

This really needs to be investigated by the police and stopped.  I am worried for the elderly population who may be vulnerable.

Not much can be done except to make sure friends & family know about this ongoing scam. Most of thee calls are from India and Pakistan where we have no jurisdiction.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Got this same message and phone number. This is a SAMN! When I tried to contact them I used *67 in front of the number but it just kept giving me a busy signal. Remember the IRS doesn't call and leave messages. They contact you by mail first explaining what your situation might be, what to do to correct it, and whom to contact at the IRS. The agent you talk with will explain to you than what your options are if you owe money and what might happen if you don't pay. Have had dealings with them in the past. They were real easy to work with.

I received a call today from this number saying the IRS is filing a law suit against me. I called the number back and a foreigner answered. When I asked what is the person's name this suit is against, he hung up. I knew right then it was a scam. I tried calling the number back to give him a piece of my mind but no one answered. Go figure.

I asked him the name of the person they wanted to reach and he hung up very fast. When I called back, he didn't answer, he just let the phone ring. I am reporting this to the IRS- asap.
