Received a recorded messase  on my answering machine to call IRS back immediately.   I called 914-595=6462 back.  I was told I had defrauded the government for 5 years and they wanted a check immmediately  to stop a lawsuit.    They could give me no other information as the gentleman who identifiied himself as Kevin Jomes (could barely talk English) I was told all the information was in Washington, D.C. My response was to let Internal Revenue contact me by certified mail.
Beware of the scammers out there.

I received a call this morning from 914-595-6462 in Yonkers, N.Y..  I let it go to voice mail, since I don't pick up on numbers I don't recognize.  The message left was that this was a final notice that the IRS had filed suit against me and I was to return the call to the same number that called me.

I am signed up on the "do not call list."  I get many, many "robo-calls", several a day from various locations and numbers.  How can these people be stopped????????

We had this same message on our answering machine May 13th.  Relieved to find out that it was a fake message.  Do I need to report it to the IRS?

Called stating he was the IRS and then went on to say we owed 5 years back taxes. So when my husband asked his name so we could have our accountant and our lawyer call him  he said I'm the IRS. of course then they hung up and when we called back number wouldn't work then they called back and when he answered they hung up on him! SCAM!!!!!

same call as everyone else...caller ID shows 914-595-6462 and leaves the same number for a call back to IRS to stop lawsuit......don't these morons realize that IRS will NEVER call....all correspondence is via post office, registered mail

I also received this same exact message.Stated that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and that it was my final notice.  Freaked me out.  Damn scams.....

He left a message on my recorder identifying himself as Office Brian Andrews with a badge number of ZN1212 and claimed to be from the IRS and that there was a law suit filed against me.  When I asked what this was in reference to he hung up the connection.

Receiving phone calls from this number stating they are the IRS.

I just got the same message, thank you everyone for responding. It is a scam and it should be stopped!

Received a call from 202-769-5226, called claimed to be "Richard Weber" at the IRS. He had my name and address and told me I was past due on my federal taxes. After I questioned him some more, the call magically disconnected. The ‎Chief, Criminal Investigation at the IRS also happens to be Richard Weber.

THEN I got another call from 91-45956462 with an automated voice telling me the IRS was getting ready to sue me for back taxes and asking me to call 914-595-6462.  I didn't call.

My husband received a call from this number stating that the IRS is going to sue him.  SCAM.  The IRS does not call you!!!  They send you certified letters.  The call back number was the same as the caller ID number 914-595-6462.  We will not be calling them back so we don't incur mysterious charges on our phone bill.  We will however be reporting it to IRS!

Got a call from this number today claiming the IRS is filing a lawsuit.  Sounded pretty bogus to me.

The callers are located in India and Pakistan and as such beyond the reach of US law.

The calls cannot be stopped from being initiated.  The callers are hard core Indian or Pakistani scammer/extortionist and as such beyond the reach of US law. They ignore all US laws.  Call blocker might be of some help.

Same call; someone needs to tap this line and get to the source...

Just received a call today from a voice recording female voice claiming to be the IRS when I called back a Pakistanian or Indian sounding man answered and asks for your cell phone number. I called back three times and he hangs up after a few seconds. There is alot of static and noise and it sounds like it's from overseas.

Call from 914-595-6462 as Unknown name. Recorded message about IRS final notice of lawsuit and to call back at this number provided.

I received a call from this number saying they were the IRS. It was an automated call. I tried to call back and no one answered.

Exactly what just happened to me.

I received a voice mail from 914-595-6462 stating that it was the IRS, that they were filing a lawsuit against me and to contact them immediately.  The number said it was coming from New York.  Upon trying to call the first time the number rang with a busy signal.  The second and immediate time I called a gentleman answered with an extremely heavy Indian accent (almost impossible to understand).  He wanted to confirm address information on me and I stated at that time to never contact me again and that they would be receiving no information from me.  If they were really the IRS I would be contacted via certified mail.
